Been with Aquiss 3 years now on their 900/115 residential plan. I am so pleased with the service, I have just recontracted for another 12 months. This means I can take advantage of their new custom... See more

Service Is Fine Until You Need Help
I've been with this ISP for a while, and while the internet connection itself is mostly reliable, the support experience has eroded any sense of value I used to feel.
When everything’s working, it’s fine. But the real test of any provider is how they respond when things don’t work. That’s where this company falls short.
The main issue is with how support – particularly through Martin, the management director – is handled. Rather than helping, Martin often comes across as defensive and evasive, using technical jargon in a way that feels more like deflection than explanation. There’s a clear lack of ownership; problems are always someone else’s fault – the hardware, the weather, third parties – anything but the company itself.
Over time, this approach has chipped away at any trust I had in their support. When you're made to feel like you're being talked down to instead of helped, and every conversation feels like damage control rather than problem-solving, it becomes hard to believe anything you're told.
For the price I’m paying, I expect a service that takes responsibility and treats customers with honesty and respect – not spin. That’s where this ISP fails.
Overall: 2/5 – Decent connection, but disappointing and untrustworthy support. You pay premium rates for below-par accountability.

Good isp let down by a few niggles
Network wise they're fine, low latency and decent reliability. Only a couple of small niggles which would give me pause to move back again. 1. If you leave mid-month, they refuse to issue an accurate final bill showing how much of that final months cost was service fees and how much went to early termination fees. They only issue an invoice for the remaining full months early termination fees so you don't end up with accurate invoicing for how much you have actually paid in ET fees.
Also support tickets are routinely closed at lightning speed without ever confirming with you if your issue is resolved.
Aside from that, decent ISP.
Simply fantastic
Simply fantastic. I signed up to Aquiss wanting to get away from a mainstream ISP and Martin had my swapped over the very next day. Absolutely no issues with the transfer, PPPOE details sent in an email and popped into my router on the go live date saw me connected in seconds. Definitely not the cheapest ISP, but as they say, you get what you pay for. Hopefully nothing goes wrong, but I get the impression that if it does, I’ll be speaking to somebody that actually understands and won’t have to listen to frustrating call centre scripts.
If I was to have any feedback at this early stage it would be to see more data in the control panel, but that’s a very minor thing and absolutely non-essential.
Great ISP
Our BT Fibre 2 contract was coming to an end, they were only offering poor deals and on 2 year contracts. As full fibre was available via Cityfibre in our road we decided to go to one of their ISP. I'd looked at various providers and narrowed it down to Aquiss and one other, however Aquiss were getting really good feedback from existing customers, had 12 month contracts and a half price for 6 months offer. Also after the 12 months it just switches to a rolling monthly contract at what you were paying so no extortionate price increase and haggling needed. I placed the order online on a Thursday morning, and very quickly had an email from them with a date for the Cityfibre install the following week (I didn't use the One Touch switch service but cancelled BT myself, I'm not sure if this was why it was so quick). You need to provide your own router but Aquiss recommend some and were quick to answer my email asking for advice. They also responded quickly when I was given wrong information from Cityfibre about setting the router up.
I highly recommend Aquiss, they deal with any questions/issues you may have quickly and I'm getting the speeds I should. So far all good.
Great customer service
Great customer service! Support is very fast. I had a couple of questions and was replied to in minutes, by a human (no AI chatbots here) and not in core hours. I really like the fact Aquiss are selling me an internet connection and not trying to upsell me some kind of media package which is essentially just Netflix and Disney but with ads which some of the larger ISPs are guilty of.
Service is very fairly priced. I quite like the fact they don't supply a router as it means you can buy something appropriate for your house. They provide easy to follow guides to get up and running.
Maybe if you're really not technical you might struggle to set a router up but I'm sure Aquiss will be able to support you.
The speed of my connection is also significantly better. We have two lines going into our house and the Aquiss connection is coming out at ~50% faster (semi-rural FTTC).
Highly recommend and would encourage anyone to consider these guys over one of the larger ISPs.
Professional And Trustworthy
I've been using Aquiss for broadband for around 5 months and it's been faultless. I've also just moved some web and email hosting to Aquiss and it's going really well.
Martin is prompt and helpful with any queries and I know there's a level of professionalism I can count on. Services may cost slightly more than elsewhere but that's a price worth paying for peace of mind. Highly recommended.
Easy to move and great support
Switched to Aquiss from Cuckoo and the whole process was seamless. Transfer went smoothly, and the service has been rock-solid. Great customer support too friendly, responsive, and helpful. Highly recommended!
Aquiss - As Good As it Gets for Broadband
I have been an Aquiss FTTP customer for over 3 years. During this time, my connection has been stable and fast save for one 7 day period when BT Wholesale placed an erroneous cease on my line following an internal systems software upgrade. Aquiss could only apply pressure on BT Wholesale to roll out a fix: throughout they kept me informed.
Yesterday, I re-contracted with Aquiss at a higher FTTP speed. The upgrade was managed personally by Aquiss’ MD and the product change was actioned overnight.
Aquiss may appear to be slightly more expensive than some of its mainstream competitors but based on line quality and service, it is a delta cost worth paying for.
I confirm that I have no been solicited to make this post.
Next level customer service
I moved to Aquiss from the frankly awful vodafone earlier this year.
The customer experience received from Aquiss is absolutely spot on.
The main plus point is that tickets are handled quickly without scripted responses, updates are to point and with full complete answers.
Aquiss also suits my set up as they provide authentication details for the service by default and expect customers to provide their own router etc
Great Service from Martin and team
I have Aquiss for a month or so now, was a recommended by a friend, not household name and not on the CityFibre provider page as a recommendation etc.. but checked forums and spoke to Martin direct on information gathering call at 16:55 when office closed at 17:00, really suprised the MD picked up, and spent 30mins going through my list of questions.
Helped with router selection etc.. signed up that evening as needed to move as previous provider Giganet.uk was removing my VIOP service and moving me to Cuckoo and sadly options and customer service deteriorated over the 30 months I had been with them.
The only issue was the one touch switching service failed but Martin was on it and sorted without any further issues in background and kept me fully informed, had a 10 day wait for transfer and Martin and team arranged for CityFibre to visit and swap out ONT as gone with the 1.8/900mbps service on 12 month contract with a 3 month discount.
CityFibre we're very good chaps came in agreed time widow on day of transfer I lost service at 8am back up and up and running in 20mins of vist around 11am.
The speeds been on the mark from day one, only issue caused by my lack of understanding re settings in my Tp-link router set up, slowing things down one evening.
The customer service has been on point, emails replied within the hour and calls / callbacks dealt with promptly, very happy thus far.
Well done to Aquiss and Martin and team.
5-Star Review for Aquiss Broadband
5-Star Review for Aquiss Broadband – Excellent Service!
I couldn’t be happier with Aquiss Broadband! The service has been top-notch from day one. The introductory pricing is fantastic, and the static IP is a huge plus for my needs. The 12-month contract offers great flexibility and peace of mind.
Everything has been seamless – from the initial setup to the ongoing connection, it’s fast, reliable, and exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend Aquiss to anyone looking for outstanding broadband service!
An excellent 'must use' ISP
I chose AQUISS from reviews and friends in the industry, boy am I glad I did... seamless transfer from BT .. full speeds 24/7/365 (900/110/10ms).
The price is well worth it, the owner Martin gets back to you within 5-10 minutes! - I've been with them now about 15 months and NEVER had any reason to email for a problem (never had one!) - it reminds me of the o2/BE* days of xDSL.
You do have to buy your own router, but THAT IS the beauty of it, because ISP supplied routers are garbage, weak and vulnerable... your own is so easy to set up you can't go wrong, just select 'PPPoE' and put in your supplied (and your choice of) 'username' and 'password'...that's it, done!!
And with your own router its more reliable, secure and better support, if you live in a large house, get one with 6-8 'external' antennas, with support for MU-MIMO and OFDMA and keep it central in your home.
I've been with the following ISPs : AOL, Supanet, Entanet, o2/BE*, Sky, Virgin, BT and Plusnet between 2004-2023.
I think Aquiss is probably the best ISP Ive been with thus far as Ive never had a problem, all other ISPs (while the likes of Sky, BT, Plusnet were good) I still had issues now and again (overloaded DSLAMS in exchange/cabinet WAS the usual no.1 culprit for me).
But...not here - I think the nature of gigabit internet (users downloading large files in seconds/minutes) means high speeds are available way more often, as on FTTP there are 'up to' 32 customers sharing 2500Mbps bandwidth - but its never affected me , every time I test its 945d/110u/10ms - using TCP Optimizer 4 can help your network adapter to work better/faster with your connection to the ISP.
There is only one downside for me personally, but not necessarily for everyone, and that is they use STATIC IP addresses, this can be great for some people as you usually pay extra for that with other ISPs, for other reasons (like connecting to your home network whilst away from home!) - but it is an issue for someone like me, regardless, for the average man in the street, you would be shooting yourself in the foot NOT choosing these!!
I moved to Aquiss based on…
I moved to Aquiss based on recommendations by forums etc.. I was previously with Giganet that were great once, but when they moved to Cukoo, from my own research I saw I was losing my IPv6 and also when I told them , I'm not sure they knew what it was.
My old company have caused a lot of issues with the transfer and I am pretty sure I wont get my pro-rata payments back.
However, Martin was always there chasing up the transfer with them/cityfibre and the speeds and pings since I transferred have been impeccable.
Aquiss ++
Matt
Thanks to Martin
Thanks to Martin, my wait time was shortened probably by weeks. I initially signed up for TalkTalk but they signed me up for something they cannot provide when street has the FTTP infrastructure and building yet does not. After talking to Martin, I confirmed with neighbors we cannot use fibre at the time and cancelled my TalkTalk application. I applied two Aquiss and 7-10 days later I got connection at my home. Old and slowish(70Mbps) infrastructure but that is the best this technology supports. It works reliably for the last 2 month since I first got connection.
A big thumbs up
I was very impressed with the efficient way in which Aquiss handled my recent activation. It took two working days and caught me off-guard because I hadn't bought a router at the point the service went live!
Martin was very helpful with my pre-sales enquiry and then again when I was evaluating routers.
I should have made the move before. I was paying over the odds to a Bracknell based ISP for an FTTP connection, and it took a particularly poor response to a support call to goad me into action.
My Aquiss connection is stable with speeds as advertised and the package price is very competitive, particularly with the introductory offer.
Aquiss get a big thumbs up from me.
Exceptional service provider, outstanding customer service!
Aquiss, in my opinion (and clearly many many other customers'), is an absolutely outstanding company.
Never have I experienced this level of exceptional customer service, whilst still receiving great value for money.
I cannot fault them whatsoever.
I have been a customer twice, for FTTP internet service. The whole process is very easy, simply and fuss-free. I provided my own router/mesh system, and you simply configure your router with the credentials provided.
I'm sure if you needed a router, they'd be happy to supply and/or advise.
100% would recommend. Martin is amazing
Recently moved over from giganet due to there non existant suport.
Aquiss has been a breeze, Martin contacted me as soon as I had placed my order due to cityfibre stating a package was available in my area when it wasnt. Moved to the tier below which was available and awaited the install date. Everything was so easy compared to previous providers. The support is great and the responses are prompt. They have a great list of compatible routers for there services which takes the guessing out of the equation too. Speeds and ping are great which cant be said for other companies offering these speeds. 100% have recommended to anyone looking at fibre, You pay slightly more compared to other companies, but atleast you can speak to someone if something breaks and not some dodgy call centre like others.
Great
I moved over from Zen internet who i was happy with but they were expensive. Aquiss had the same speeds but cheaper so when my zen agreement came to an end i moved over.
From initial questions that were answered the same day to the day of switch over everything was smooth.
I did have an issue on the day of switch but it was down to my router that i had to reset to factory settings. But Martin the MD was in contact with me and spoke to on the phone trying different things.
First class support and after 4 months of perfect connection i'm very happy with my move.
Please dont change Aquiss, your a breath of fresh air in the world of services.
An ISP run by passionate enthusiasts, and it shows.
Never have I dealt with a more pleasant, professional and transparent ISP as Aquiss. I spoke on the phone with Martin Pitt, the Managing Director, and he explained in detail the process of getting hooked up by CityFibre. The fact that the MD himself gets involved with customers says a lot about them as a company.
I was hooked up inside a week and the service has been top-notch, you aren't provided a router which is a huge plus for me as many ISPs do so and will only offer you support when using their equipment. Not so with these legends. You get both a static IPv4 and IPv6 adress as standard included in the price, and they do not use CGNAT which already puts them above a great many larger providers. It does mean you pay slightly more than some of the larger companies out there, but the uplift in quality in service is far greater than the uplift in price, making it much better value. Why the larger ISPs in this country don't use IPv6 yet is beyond me especially since IPv4 addresses are so expensive now due to them being completely exhausted. Support is excellent too, the team cannot do enough for you and they actually know what they're talking about, rather than taking you through the same boilerplate support script as most larger ISPs.
I cannot recommend these guys enough, by far and away the best service I have ever received from an ISP.
Excellent trouble support and resolution.
Recent broadband loss made me submit a support ticket. Phone call followed in about 50 minutes. Problem (at my end due to a network change) identified and solved in a minute or so. Problems happen; it is how they are resolved that really matters and this was all one could hope for. I'm currently much less than happy with my domain hosting and email supplier and will be transferring to Aquiss in due course.
