Protyre Autocare on Burgess Road are legends and i cant recommend them highly enough. I took my car in after it developed a horrible grinding and squeaking noise that had me convinced something serious was wrong with the brakes.
The team quickly investigated the problem and found it was simply a small stone trapped in the brake assembly. They removed it, explained exactly what had happened, and got me safely back on the road.
What really impressed me was their honesty and professionalism—they didn't try to sell me unnecessary repairs and didn't even charge me for fixing the issue. In a time when it's easy to worry about being overcharged, their integrity was incredibly refreshing.
Fantastic customer service, knowledgeable staff, and genuinely trustworthy. I'll definitely be returning for any future servicing or tyre needs and would happily recommend Protyre Burgess Road to anyone.

I took my car here recently for a front wheel alignment as there was 50% off on the website. I'd never usually go for such "deals" but my husband has used the Stockton branch for years with no problem.
When I arrived, I was advised that I'd need a 4 wheel alignment at a cost of £129 and 2 new tyres. The cheapest being a budget tyre at £80 each!!! I'm not sure where they plucked such figures from but I told them I'd take the car elsewhere as their prices were ridiculous. I drove straight to another garage and got a 2 wheel alignment (4 wheel deemed unnecessary for a car like mine) and 2 new mid-range tyres for £60 each.
I've since checked ProTyres website and I can get a Bridgestone for £79.90, so I'd love to know what this mythical £80 budget tyre is. I'm guessing they saw a lone female and decided it was a good opportunity to rob me for car repairs.
To top it off, I've still not received a refund for the money I paid to book the car in on their website. I'll claim it back through my bank.

I've used Protyre in Airspeed Road, Christchurch many times over the years and always been delighted by the high level of service offered. Jason and his team booked my Mercedes Campervan in for an Aircon service at the last minute and now it's working perfectly and a competitive price. Only a short wait in reception with complimentary coffee. An oasis in a desert of less reputable garages .

Easy to book an appointment online, polite helpful and cheerful staff. Although the MOT took longer than expected due to the lift ramp getting stuck in the up position, we were however able to occupy our time on Churchfields industrial estate.

My air con was replaced efficiently and they even replaced 2 tyres for me that badly needed replacing . Even though I’d not booked in for that they found the time to do it and check the tracking also .

Pleasant helpful staff re advice on potential work after annual MOT and service. Good price for annual MOT and services and replacement tyres.
