Will not compensate for an approved claim
Sent a parcel that was in a letter box parcel that could of easily fit through the letter box. My customer said they found the parcel outside which had been left In the rain and damaged the goods.
I put in a claim to yodel who approved and said they would compensate a certain amount and refund the postage. I have only received a refund for the postage cost. I have spoke to numerous people on the chat who said they can't help me. Impossible to try and contact anyone else. So I have paid extra for buyer protection and you haven't even honoured it. I won't be using your services again.
Avoid!
Avoid. The few times me or my family have used YODEL has been nothing but problems. late deliveries, no updates, helpless customer service.
Clueless & slow chat agents
I went 2 days in a raw on their chat function and none of the agents were able to provide any update on where the parcel is and said that I have to wait until end of today before they can escalate.
Plus they are so slow in replying to you, and when they do, tell you nothing useful.
Stole my package
driver did not knock on my door or rang the door bell however took a photo of the package at me door for “ proof of delivery” then stole the parcel

Purchased from OHS. Yodel delivered the package to a random address and appear to think that as they have provided a photo of someone's front door that verifies delivery. The online chat people are absolutely useless. They also suggested I go around knocking on strangers doors to try and locate the package. Completely useless and lacking in any form of accountability

The delivery driver hammered on my door, as if he was trying to break it down. When I told him I wasn't happy with that, and to press the bell next time, all in a reasonable way. He got angry and said not to talk to him like that. No apology at all, treated me like it was my fault, very unpleasant experience.

If I could give zero stars, I would. YODEL have had two large pieces of furniture of mine for weeks, and the experience has been absolutely appalling.
I’ve had 29 live chats with their customer service team — and every time, I’m given vague, misleading, or outright false information. They’ve told me repeatedly that my parcels would be delivered on certain days, so I’ve taken time off work five separate times and stayed home waiting… but they never turned up once.
There’s been no honest tracking updates, no transparency about where my items actually are, and every interaction feels like they’re just trying to get me off the chat. I even filed an official complaint, but it was brushed aside with no resolution and no way to escalate to a manager.
This company is completely untrustworthy and disorganized. I will never buy from any retailer that uses YODEL again. Save yourself the stress — avoid at all costs.

Ultimately, it feels like cost efficiency often outweighs service quality. I hope Yodel continues to invest not just in systems, but in people—because customer satisfaction depends on both.
Terrible Service – My Valuable Items Went Missing and No Real Help from Yodel
I’ve had a truly awful experience with Yodel. My valuable items went missing while in their care, and despite contacting them several times, nothing has been resolved. Every time I emailed, I received almost identical responses that didn’t address my situation at all.
It seemed like the support team didn’t even read or understand my messages — they kept telling me to contact the seller to resolve the issue, even though I am the seller! That alone shows they weren’t paying attention to what I was explaining.
What’s most upsetting is that my items have gone missing in transit, and I have had no proper investigation or accountability from Yodel. I’ve asked to speak to management, but that request was ignored. This whole process has been frustrating, time-wasting, and deeply disappointing.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting Yodel with anything valuable.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any delivery company — just awful! My parcel has shown as “out for delivery” for the past three days, yet nothing has arrived. I’ve spoken with multiple customer service agents, and not one of them has been able to help. Every single time, I’ve just been told to “wait until 9pm” — which is exactly when their customer service closes! I’ve even tried calling, but all I get is an automated robot — not a single real person to speak with. Completely useless. And now, out of nowhere, the tracking says my parcel is both “lost” and “returned to sender.” Seriously, how does that even happen? Absolutely unacceptable. I’m furious, and I’ll never use this company again. If I could give minus stars, I would.
Useless courier!
The last two experiences of Yodel have been bad, with the last one being disastrous. Firstly, none of the alternative delivery options are available on the app, apart from leave with a specific neighbour, who in my case is usually out in the daytime. Attempted 3 deliveries on separate days and since then I have no idea where my parcel is. No card was left for me and the only tracking information on the app was that it had arrived at their depot, without stating which one. Their customer service contact number is just an automated bot and we all know that does little to help. Chatted with someone on live chat but they didn’t have a clue what to do and when I asked for the local depot to me they gave me an address in Yorkshire which is over 200 miles from where I live. I eventually drove to the local depot in Dartford only to find it had closed down. Absolute shambles of a courier and I’ve had no correspondence from them whatsoever.
