Will not compensate for an approved claim

Sent a parcel that was in a letter box parcel that could of easily fit through the letter box. My customer said they found the parcel outside which had been left In the rain and damaged the goods.

I put in a claim to yodel who approved and said they would compensate a certain amount and refund the postage. I have only received a refund for the postage cost. I have spoke to numerous people on the chat who said they can't help me. Impossible to try and contact anyone else. So I have paid extra for buyer protection and you haven't even honoured it. I won't be using your services again.

The delivery drivers for amazon are horrendous. I've had parcels gone to different addresses and parcels left outside all night in the rain without ringing my doorbell.

It took them 4 attempts to get my bag

It took them 4 attempts to get my bag. 1st one it was too full but the driver just looked at it and then left. Didn't even bother to ring my bell to tell me. Second time the number of the house was for next door and not mine so they refused to take it even though it was pretty obvious what house it was. 3rd time my hill was too steep. So why didn't the first driver relay this? I had this bag through a wickes installation so every time I called I was told I need to talk to wickes which was just a complete nightmare. I really don't see the point of a company that provide skip bags and then can't collect them for various reasons. I probably won't use this company in the future if I ever need a skip again.

Hi Meg,

We would have terms and conditions that would have to be met to ensure we can collect the bag. Wickes would be aware of the terms and conditions, as well. If these terms and conditions aren't met, then we wouldn't be able to guarantee collection.

If the collection isn't booked in your name and is booked through a company instead, then they would be our customer not yourself. This would mean certain details would have to be discussed with them rather than yourself. Sorry for any confusion caused by that.

We do understand the frustration and inconvenience having one of these bags at the property can cause, so we are sorry for the time it took to get this bag collected. However we are happy that we've been able to get this collected for you now. Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service you've received though.

I have had the installation from hell…

I have had the installation from hell with Wickes! If you use the Halesowen branch and get a fitter called John Adams assigned to your project, DO NOT ACCEPT. He is an absolute cowboy. Had no care about the job, just wanted to get it done as quick as possible and was happy to cut as many corners as he could. He had the audacity to cancel my plasterer as they were running out of time. Maybe if he did a full day's work it would of been finished. Rocking up between 9-10am and leaving at 3-3.30pm is not acceptable! Then excepted us to plaster and paint around our new units! After i refused this, he left and never returned and left me with absolutely nothing in my kitchen. Then he had the cheek to text me within an hour of leaving say i owe him £430 for work i wasn't even quoted for. After numerous calls for a week to a very unhelpful and useless customer service team, I finally had a call back from the area manager to say they have found a new fitter but he has to do it around his already booked jobs. A call through this week to let me know what was going on would of been nice instead of leaving me stressing for a week not knowing if my kitchen will ever be finished. 2 months later, its finally finished but now i am left with the skip on my drive which should of been collected on 2 occasions but hasnt. The skip company blame wickes, wickes blame the skip company. Its an absolute joke. I will be going to the ombudsman about all this and looking for some serious compensation as it has affected me and my partner's work life and I've had to spend more money than what i wanted on takeaways due to not having a kitchen for 2 months.

I have case numbers that have never been followed up. Never get call backs when i've been told i will.

I really do not recommend using Wickes. There is no care whatsoever!

Had a payment plan to pay off my final…

Had a payment plan to pay off my final bill for 3 years. Twice they changed the direct debit amount to the full amount and tried to take the payment. Found out today they cancelled it without my consent, not even told me and allowed me to receive debt collection threats and late fee notcies and then they made out I had cancelled it. Now I cant have it for 3 years, i can only have it for a year even though 3 people had confirmed to me i could. They blame everything on IT glitches. You cant get through to them on the phone or chat system. If you are lucky to get through on the phone, they hang up on you and then send you an email making out you had agreed to pay the final bill in one. Even though i hadn't agreed as they hung up on me! This company is breaking so many laws and pretty sure a lot of what i have experienced is illegal. I will be taking this further, this company is a joke and should not be operating.

Hi Meg, I'm really sorry to hear about what's happened.

We had a major IT glitch on 24th Dec that caused a lot of Direct Debit payments to be taken early. This unfortunately meant that those who had a Direct Debit paying a final bill in instalments were also subject to the full balance being taken in some cases.

It sounds like you've already spoken to us regarding this and I'm sorry if any process changes no longer meet your needs. I appreciate you're wanting to pay so please speak to us again when you're free and we'll try to do all we can for you.

I've been into the opticians nearly a dozen times over the same pair of glasses as no one could seem to get them to fit on my face properly. Finally one staff member had sorted them but i thought this would be a basic thing for opticians. I had the glasses changed twice due to 2 members of staff melting them. And one member of staff who had no idea how to fit frames

Ignore your requests

I knew i was going to be in so i requested my parcel to be sent to my neighbour. They ignored this request and left it in the wheelie bin. This was an expensive item and i didnt want it left outside or i would of stated this on the preference area in the tracking. Anyone could of seen them drop this in the bin outside my house so I'm not happy. I won't be using your service again

3rd party delivery service robbing products

The delivery service for Ikea is disgusting. Ordered 2 items and only one came and filled out on the delivery form that items were missing. When I rang customer service, they told me the drivers had said all items had been delivered successfully. They said they use a 3rd party delivery service and all the items were put onto the lorry. So between being put on the lorry and travelling to ours, they have gone missing. The fact the drivers have lied about the successful delivery looks like they are either dropping items off anywhere or robbing them.

Had the delivery rescheduled and then the night before the day it was supposed to be delivered, they have changed the date again with no reason. I have wasted days off work for this and they won't even refund my delivery as I still have not received these items. I will be taking this complaint further

Only care about your money

Came for an initial consultation which says is free online but you have to pay £30.00 deposit. At the end, I was asked to pay a £60 deposit for the surgeon consultation. Once you have paid this, they give you all the T&Cs and risk forms. During the 2 weeks between these appointments, I had to ask for my deposit back for the consultation which i got but this shows they have no intention of paying you back unless you ask.

Had the consultation with the surgeon and was told I have dry eyes and big pupils but still could have surgery but was greater risk of side effects. This concerned me as these 2 points feature in the not suitable for surgery section in the forms and website.

I decided to not go ahead for these reasons and in the back of the risk forms it states, "If you choose not to go ahead, we will refund your deposit"

When I asked for my deposit back, I was told that it wasn't a deposit but a payment to see the surgeon and I wouldn't get it back. Even though i was told it was a deposit.

I feel like they only really care about your money and getting you to pay before even giving you information about risks that could concern you and if they are scamming everyone like this, the consultations are not free!

EDIT: Whoever replied below has not even read my review properly. I WAS offered surgery even though I had these issues which concerned me that they were offering it to me. I understood the initial consultation fee was refundable but you have to ask for it back or you won't get it.

Thanks for your review. As stated on our website and in our terms and conditions, we require a refundable deposit to hold your consultation slot. As I’m sure you can understand, this is to protect us from losses incurred as a result of no-shows.

Again, as stated on our website and in our terms and conditions, the deposit is refunded to you if you choose not to go ahead with treatment. If you decide to proceed with treatment – which you did at your consultation – the amount is deducted from your final payable amount. This is why your consultation deposit wasn’t returned to you during the two week period between your initial appointment and the surgeon assessment.

The £60 for the surgeon assessment is a non-refundable fee and patients are made aware of this at the time of payment. If patients choose to go ahead with treatment, the £60 is offset against their final payable amount. The payment covers the surgeon’s in-depth examination of your eyes to ensure that treatment is the best possible option for you.

In your case, in your best interests, our surgeon advised that surgery may not be the best option for you. I’m sure that, with this in mind, you can agree that we don’t “only care about your money” – we want the treatment to be as successful as possible for you.

Chaotic Experience

After applying for a role before Christmas, my application got instantly rejected. Then a couple of months later, someone else from the recruitment agency said I had got an interview with the role I applied for even though it was rejected?

So when the interview came, I was dealt with by another person as the second one had gone on maternity.

Went to my interview, got told I get feedback within a week. I chased up twice after the week and kept getting "we will get back to you" and I never heard from them again.

Very chaotic experience and poor for a recruitment agency not to chase the company that I interviewed with.

EDIT: I was only explained what happened after I left this review. Before that, I heard nothing else. This could of been explained to me when I was asking for updates but had no response at all.

Following this we made numerous attempts to chase feedback for you, and we shared E-mail exchanges updating you on the circumstances.

Despite our best efforts, our Client was unable to provide clarification not just on your application but others who interviewed, and we have since decided to no longer work with this Client as a result. I think it's deeply unfair that you have decided to take this bad experience out on our recruitment agency who have acted honestly and in your best interests throughout, which can be evidenced by the numerous positive reviews, of which yours stands out as the only negative one.

Wrong Address!

Ordered a parcel off amazon

The address on my amazon account is correct but when received an email saying my parcel had been dispatched, it was for a different address.

I have now had to change It to send to a local shop because the address was wrong which I had to download the app to do because your website doesn't allow you to do that.

Not a great online experience

I ordered some items for click and collect. On the website it says if you order before 4pm, you will get it in 2 working days. I week went by and I still hadn't received anything. Emailed the customer service twice on the website, no answer. Had to message via Facebook. They said it would arrive that day that I enquired. The next day, I decided to ring. The woman on the phone said it was set as 3-5 day delivery. She rang the store it was going to and they said it would be another 2 days. Then when I put the phone down, I had an email saying it was ready to collect. Was quite a confusing experience and shouldn't be advertising click and collect as 2 working days if its not.

DO NOT BUY FROM THE RANGE ONLINE

The ranges online service is shockingly bad. I ordered 2 products online that were both damaged. It takes 20minutes for someone to answer your call. They DO NOT answer emails even though they tell you to email.

They then lied about my refund saying it had been processed when it hadn't. Contacted my card company who said there was no refund. So i had to open a dispute.

I will never buy from here again
