Not even worth any star for customer service
I had an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience with a Frontier Airlines employee named Prince while checking in for Flight F9 1483 from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Denver (DEN), scheduled to depart at 9:57 PM.
Prince provided some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Instead of listening to my concerns or trying to help, he spent much of the interaction looking at his phone and showed no interest in resolving the issue. When I asked why my seat had been changed, he simply said, “The flight is full,” and acted as if there was nothing he could do.
I paid extra to reserve Seat 11E, but Frontier changed my seat to 24C without any explanation or notification. Because of this unexpected change, my family and I were separated and had to sit far away from each other during the flight. Customers who pay for seat selections deserve better communication and support when changes happen.
The most shocking part of this experience was when Prince asked me if I still wanted to take the flight, implying that if I was not satisfied, I could go to the kiosk and change my ticket. Telling a customer to change flights or delay their trip because of an airline seat issue is completely unacceptable. This could have caused my family to miss our plans and potentially delay our entire trip until the next day.
When I asked for his name so I could file a complaint, he refused to spell it for me, making it more difficult to properly identify the employee responsible for this interaction.
His attitude was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed no willingness to help a paying customer. A simple explanation, apology, or effort to find a solution would have made a huge difference, but instead I was treated as if my concerns did not matter.
I am providing the flight details—Flight F9 1483 from ORD to DEN, departing at 9:57 PM—so Frontier Airlines can identify the employee working that shift and review this incident. I strongly request that Frontier investigate this matter and provide additional customer service training to prevent other passengers from experiencing the same treatment.
Absolute WORST customer service…
Absolute WORST customer service experience from start to finish. Booked travel and purchased the travel insurance. Called repeatedly to change my travel arrangements in advance by utilizing the insurance policy. One customer service representative gave me the wrong telephone number and another said she did not have the number for the insurance company? Employee training is a glaring concern along with the language barrier both are clearly apparent. If it does not make Frontier Airlines MONEY they’re not interested in providing adequate customer service…the original 9:30 pm flight was delayed until 10:45 pm and the TSA officers had stopped screening at 10:00 pm, at 10:01 after checking my baggage the representative at the airport informed me that the flight was boarding but without TSA to perform the screening, I was going to miss my flight. She did NOT offer to modify my flight arrangements or print me another ticket. Eventually, I had to pay more money to reschedule my original flight and I was never able to activate the insurance policy that I paid for almost a month before my travel. Go with a more reputable airline to avoid their BS.
My First and Last Flight with Frontier
This was my first and will definitely be my last time flying with Frontier Airlines.
My experience was extremely disappointing from beginning to end. On Saturday, passengers were kept on the aircraft for nearly two hours before we were asked to deplane and informed that the flight had been canceled. There was little communication and no clear explanation throughout the process.
I was rebooked on a flight for Monday at 3:20 PM. Before I even arrived at the airport, I received a notification that the flight had been delayed until 4:20 PM, and then delayed again until 5:20 PM.
The most frustrating part happened during boarding. After waiting through multiple delays, I scanned my boarding pass only to be told that I did not have an assigned seat and would not be allowed to board. Around seven other passengers were in the exact same situation. We were left standing there without any explanation, wondering whether we would be left behind again. Eventually, after a long wait and unnecessary stress, seats were assigned and we were finally allowed to board.
What disappointed me most was not only the delays and cancellation, but the lack of communication, organization, and respect for passengers’ time. People arrange work, family responsibilities, and important commitments around their flights. In my case, I am in the military and needed to return to New Jersey that day. The uncertainty and poor handling of the situation created unnecessary stress that could have been avoided with better planning and honest communication.
Delays can happen with any airline, and I understand that safety must always come first. However, passengers deserve clear information, transparency, and respectful treatment throughout the process.
Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion of Frontier Airlines. I cannot recommend this airline based on how this situation was handled, and I will not choose to fly with Frontier again.
frontier Airlines is the worst company in the entire world
frontier Airlines is the worst company I've ever take in my life, they canceled my flight 1 hour before checkin, missed my interview, charged me extra fee for refund and terrible customer service, I would never take their flight in my life again even tho I have to walk,
this was a bad experience for me, would nit recommend it to my worst enemy.
Paid almost 300.00 for one carry on and…
Paid almost 300.00 for one carry on and on regular bag which is robbery.
Here we sit.
Here we sit.. again, in PHL, drinking espresso martinis, waiting for Frontier's endless delays. 90% failure rate on on time flights. Never again!
Wow… just wow.
Wow… just wow.
I booked a flight from San Diego to Minneapolis with Frontier. I arrived at the airport 1 hour and 10 minutes before departure, but there wasn’t a single Frontier representative at the ticket counter. As an active member of the military, I need a representative present to complete the check-in process.
When I called Frontier’s customer service line, I was told I was “late.” This was my first time flying Frontier, and I found that explanation completely unreasonable. I asked them to simply rebook me on another flight, but they immediately tried to charge me an additional $120.
After waiting about five minutes to speak with a supervisor, the exact same representative came back on the line and suddenly said, “I’m just going to waive the fee for you.”
If the fee could be waived that easily, why was I told I had to pay it in the first place? The entire experience felt unorganized and misleading. I’ve flown with many airlines over the years and have never experienced customer service like this. It was frustrating, disappointing, and not the way customers—especially military members—should be treated.
Worst airline in the world
They canceled two overnight flights on different days and rebooked me 24 hours later with no hotel or food provided. Please don’t flight with this airline
I can’t a leave a zero but what an…
I can’t a leave a zero but what an awful airline. They broke my brand new suitcase but their policies make it impossible to take any accountability. It took over a month for them to deny my claim. Cheap but at what cost. I personally will avoid ever flying with Frontier ever again.
big discounts
This is the worst airlines company I’ve…
This is the worst airlines company I’ve dealt with in my entire life. They have hidden costs, no cancellations even though their website says FREE cancellation after 24hrs. They are liars and have a very poor customer service. They only care for their money and nothing else. I will never book with them anymore.
I have never experienced anything like…
I have never experienced anything like this with an airline.
I purchased two tickets for my daughter and me, along with Frontier's highest-tier package that included Premium seating and checked bags. On the day of travel, our seats were repeatedly changed without my authorization, moving us from the first row to the back of the aircraft and separating us multiple times.
When I contacted Frontier, I was told the changes had been made from my account. They had not. I later discovered my Frontier account had been compromised, including an unauthorized password change.
Because I no longer trusted that my account or future reservations were secure, I canceled a second Frontier reservation. During the cancellation process, I was told there would be no cancellation fee. Only after completing the cancellation did I learn I had received a travel credit instead of a refund.
To Frontier's credit, they agreed to refund my original reservation. However, the refund process has become another ordeal. I have spent countless hours making phone calls between Frontier and the travel agency to determine where the funds were sent. More than once, I was given incorrect information, resulting in even more time trying to locate my refund.
Weeks later, I am still trying to recover money that Frontier agreed to refund.
The amount of time, stress, and effort this has required has been overwhelming. I simply want Frontier to honor the agreed refund and make an exception on my second reservation, which I canceled only because my account had been compromised.
I hope Frontier will review my case, recognize these unique circumstances, and resolve this matter fairly.
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TRAVELING ON…
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TRAVELING ON FRONTIER AIRLINE AND TO TELL YOU , TIS AIRLINE AND PRICELINE ARE PRETTY MUCH ONE STEP ABOVE A SCAM. I FILED A DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AGAINST A LAST MINUTE $99 CHARGE BY FRONTIER AIRLINE EVENTHOUGH I CONFIRMED WITH THE AIRLINE THE NIGHT BEFORE MY DEPARTURE ABOUT MY CARRY-ON EXEMPTION BY FRONTIER AILINE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT. I WAS NOT AWARE AND INFORMED THAT FRONTIER AIRLINE LUGGAGE POLICY AND WAS FORCED TO PAY $99 AT THE GATE SINCE THE GATE AGENT INFORMNED ME THAT EITHER I PAY $99 FOR MY CARRY-ON THAT I HAD WITH ME THRUGHOUT THE TRIP OR I WILL HAVE TO ABANDON MY CARRY-ON AT THE GATE. QUOTING ONE OF THE AGENTS AT THE GATE SAYING, " THAT IS WHAT YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU PURCHASE ACHEAP TICKET WITH A CHEAP AIRNILE" . I CONSIDERED THAT AN INSULT ON TOP OF THEIR MANIPULATIVE PROCEDURES AND PRACTICES. I AM FILING A GREIVANCE REQUEST TO RECOVER THE CHARGES AT THE GATE FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT EXPECT. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY, IT IS ABOUT INTENTIONAL MANIPULATION AND DECEIVING PRACTICE.
Frontier must be a scam
Frontier must be a scam. First time customer. I had to cancel my flight for which I paid x. To cancel mine and my husband flight they are charging me 130 for each per flight … so additional 520 and GIVING ME $105 CREDIT!!! Yup that’s the math delivered by their customer service. Omg I’d be embarrassed to say that!!! What kind of a person are you to work there???? Is this even legal???
The entire Frontier experience was…
The entire Frontier experience was horrible from the beginning to the end, from hidden price at luggage check-in to seating, the on board experience. My first and last time flying with Frontier it’s not cheap and the services you get which is non, it’s not worth the headache or ruining your trip compared to Spirit and that’s HORRIBLE. Ohhhh yeah always delays.
If I could give a zero, I would
If I could give a zero to my first experience on frontier airlines, it would be an absolute zero. The most unprofessional and most ridiculous airline I have ever experienced. Decades of flying most of the time for professional, as well as leisure, this is by far .... The worst I have ever seen. 30 to 32% delays on all of their flights nationwide is a statistic that can only end up with this airline, eventually shutting down. After waiting over 3 1/2 hours for a delayed flight out of Orlando to Atlanta, which is only one hour. I could have actually driven home. Clearly low cost is not of any value with this airline basically because that they have a scheme to get you on the cost of a carry-on luggage that when you add it up, it cost more than the overall flight. May I add the customer service and a simple smile by the Flight Attendants and those dealing with customers because of the delays has much room for improvements. I pledge myself to never ever fly frontier again I would rather pay for real service..
Absolutely horrific experience
Absolutely horrific experience. I got to check my bags in and was told that I didn't have a checked bag but I had payed for one. Turns out it was for my return flight. Which isn't a big I was told that it happens often and that it wasn't possible to switch. I understand that with space limitation. I have to add a bag again no big deal except you can't do it in person via cash or card. You have to to do everything through the app. So I add a bag and wait for a confirmation and 10 minutes go by and nothing. I go to the counter and explain situation and that I just paid for my bag. I was told unless it showed up in the app. They wouldn't take my bag and I needed to just try again so I did. AGAIN another 10 minutes go by and no change in my app. I start to cry and another frontier employee printed off a ticket for my bag and told me to go through after explaining that I just paid for it. After I get through TSA I walk up to my gate as it's boarding. I get settled in my seat and then get a notification that I have 1 I repeat 1 bag added to my departing flight. I was super annoyed but whatever the worst part was over...nope. I check my account a few days later and see that they charged me multiple times. I call their customer service number and was treated horribly. They tried to tell me I paid for two bags the one that day and the one for my return flight. I have proof I was charged for 2 bags one way and one the other. I have proof. I have screenshots of my payments and I was told I was wrong and didnt understand what I was looking at...I tell them again I have proof. She starts to get hateful and so I admit I cussed her out for telling me I was too stupid to understand what I was charged for. I call again and get the same type of attitude. No help at all the first 3 times I call. It was only on the 4th call where I was told to submit the pictures to their website and I did and never heard back. CROOKS. The guy at the counter told me to keep trying to run my card till it went through. How much money would they have taken before they admit they were in the wrong. You can't have every kiosk down no way to pay in person then a app that lags by almost 45 minutes. Ohh and they will try to get you to sign up for a credit card on flight. They literally have paper applications on the plane and have them in hand when you board and exist the plane and you get to hear the same pitch twice a flight too. I will gladly pay extra to fly with a carrier that isn't so shady and dishonest.
Frontier is the LOWEST TIER!!!!!
The 11pm flight was delayed until 4:30am and then cancelled at 2:25 in the morning with no explanation or offer to make it right... well we could try to get on a flight a day and a half later. Frontier is TERRIBLE!!!!!
Absolutely the worst travel experience…
Absolutely the worst travel experience ever! An absolute joke of an airline! Frontier cancelled 3 flights on me, leaving me stranded a thousand miles from home and forcing me to incur $1000 in out of pocket expenses. They did not give me so much as a meal voucher! I had to pay for an extra night in a hotel and rent a car to drive from Philadelphia to Chicago to get myself home. Every single Frontier personnel I encountered was rude, unhelpful and utterly unprofessional and every single one of them needs to be re-trained. I would have been better off taking a Greyhound bus than ever flying this farcical airline!
ABSOLITE TRASH
ABSOLITE TRASH. Got us boarded onto the flight 45 minutes late. Then had the audacity to say that we needed to GET OFF, because of an "issue". Then our flight got delayed multiple times and ended up getting delayed 7 HOURS. and the worst part? Our flight got rescheduled for the following MORNING. With 0 compensation btw. And absolute trash customer service, the employees were acting like they didnt even like their jobs. Horrible experience. DONT RECCOMEND
