Awful, unfair customer service - they take your money

Frontier canceled my flight and then sent me a rebooking link that simply did not work. Every alternative flight the link showed was supposedly "sold out." Out of curiosity, I checked Frontier's own website and found those exact same flights were actually available to purchase. Their rebooking system was clearly broken.

Because I was scrambling to replace a canceled flight and their system was giving me false information, I booked directly through their website. In the rush, I accidentally selected the wrong flight. I called Frontier customer service immediately (within five minutes of booking) and explained exactly what had happened. Despite the circumstances, they refused to issue a refund or correct the mistake.

To make matters worse, the replacement flight cost more than my original flight, even though Frontier was the one that canceled my itinerary. They also refused to reimburse the difference. Every problem I experienced stemmed from Frontier's own failed rebooking system, yet I was the one left paying for it.

The most frustrating part wasn't even the cancellation...those happen. It was the complete lack of accountability afterward. A broken rebooking link, inaccurate availability, higher fares after they canceled my flight, and a customer service team unwilling to fix an obvious problem made this one of the worst airline experiences I've had. If you value reliable customer service or expect an airline to stand behind its own mistakes, I would strongly recommend never flying Frontier airlines.

Gate was never posted in the Frontier…

Gate was never posted in the Frontier app. Multiple delays. We arrived at the airport at 4 PM. Final information showed doors closing at 7:55 PM. We asked a representative for the gate, then reached Gate 227 at 7:50 PM. Agent refused boarding, claimed the time was only “estimated,” and told us (and about 10 other passengers) it was too bad. Completely rude.

Angelic Ticket Agent

We found out our flight was canceled at 3:30 yesterday at MCO , and we didn't know what to do.With the help of my daughter, we were able to get another flight paid in full to RDU this morning. Thank you Frontier. Also, the ticket agent who was working yesterday evening was AMAZING!!! She had so much patience for her. I think she's from another country but very fluent in English. Forgot to get her name, but she had golden & black braids i think. She helped us get a hotel, a shuttle and a food voucher courtesy of Frontier. I've never had an agent take time to assist us to the extent that she did. It was not only us that she went over & beyond to help but others who were stranded also. Again, she's truly an ANGEL, and we will never forget her. We hope she sees this review.

Missed flight to gate number being wrong

Missed our flight because they showed on the board Gate 42 when it was actually Gate 41, the same thing happened to about 20 of us, I also received an email about the flight being delayed and received poor customer service where the woman at the desk completely disregarded us and even said that we owe THEM money

No stars if that was an option. My flight was canceled without explanation. Then was told they would book me a hotel since il be stuck for 15 hours. It’s been 4 hours. No hotel info. They have closed customer service and went home. They did send a 15$ food voucher that I have to spend my money and wait 3 days to be reimbursed. This is crazy

Biggest crap excuse of an airline will…

Biggest crap excuse of an airline will not let you down grade or upgrade a flight but hey we will up grade your seating at a hefty cost. I needed to down grade to basic because taking a carry on was not going to happen due to back injury. They said I could not change or get a refund . Was not asking for a refund I was asking to down grade or up grade. The one girl was sooo ignorant she had no idea what I wanted. Iliterally had to to spell it out to her and she still was clueless. There customer service people on a chat gave me someone elses info and giving Jill who they thought was me a courtesy credited of 217.00 but I could not up grade or down grade. WTF! I hope the airline goes belly up soon. They would charge you to pee if they could.I knew I should of just spent the extra 150.00 for United airline. Frontier deserves infinity zero. Stay away no matter how desperate you are for money. Not worth the flight delays and cancellation excuses they make up.

Frontier ruined my trip

Frontier didn’t just ruin my trip — they acted like it was somehow my fault. My Friday flight was canceled out of nowhere, and the “rebooked” Saturday flight was canceled too. Two full days of my travel plans were wiped out, and I’m out $700 in rentals because of their incompetence. Frontier refused to compensate a single dollar.

To make it worse, the tone they used with me was unbelievable. They talked like they were doing me a favor — “We rebooked your flight for free, wasn’t that enough?” As if I should be grateful for being stranded. It genuinely sounded like they were blaming me for the fact that their own pilot would have broken regulations, forcing them to cancel the flight after we had already boarded and the gates were closed.

I’m a Gold member, and Frontier made it crystal clear they don’t care at all. No priority, no help, no accountability. Their customer service is dismissive, their policies are garbage, and their treatment of loyal passengers is downright insulting. Frontier is easily the worst airline I’ve ever dealt with, and I’ll be warning everyone I can.

1-Star Review – Twice Burned by Frontier Airlines

My experiences with Frontier Airlines have been so stressful that I will never fly with them again.

In October 2023, my husband and I booked a round-trip flight from Dallas to California. Our outbound flight was repeatedly rescheduled and eventually pushed to the next day. While in California, I suffered a life-threatening medical emergency, spent five days in the ICU, and coded twice. My doctors provided a note for the airline, but when we contacted Frontier, the front desk clerk claimed we had never booked return flights to Dallas and told us to contact someone else. We had, in fact, booked round-trip tickets. Recovering in a wheelchair and trying to get home, that response was shocking and unacceptable.

With no help from Frontier, we had to buy last-minute one-way tickets on American Airlines for over $1,000 just to get back to Dallas.

I swore I would never fly Frontier again, but a friend convinced me to give them another chance. On July 13, 2026, I checked my boarding pass at 4:00 a.m. on the way to the airport and found my flight had been canceled. I had an important meeting I could not miss, so I had to buy an expensive last-minute ticket on Southwest Airlines. To make matters worse, my return flight with Frontier was delayed by three hours.

Just hearing Frontier’s name gives me anxiety. Two trips brought cancellations, delays, unexpected costs, and enormous stress during some of the hardest moments of my life. I cannot recommend this airline to anyone who values reliability or customer service. I will never fly Frontier again.

Got to Austin airport tried to check in…

Got to Austin airport tried to check in on frontier airlines kiosk and it wouldn’t let me then I went to the counter and they said they couldn’t help me then one of the workers didn’t know how to use their app then went to TSA and they wouldn’t let my 6 and 8 year old through without a boarding pass but frontier airlines told me that I had to get my boarding pass at the terminal. Was so confused and I would have made my flight in time but between TSA and frontier airlines I missed my flight. Frontier airlines charge for seating, carry on luggage, and even to check a bag line who does that ?? I really hope they go out of business 💯

Worst experience I’ve had on an…

Worst experience I’ve had on an airline. No only did they keep delaying my flight, but then they boarded us 4 hours later, had us sit on the plane for 30 more minutes, and then got on the intercom to say they had bad news and decided to cancel the flight since if they took us, it would apparently force further cancellations? So it was future flights over us? I don’t know. No meal comps, no hotel so I sat in the corner of the airport all night as the next flight wasn’t until 7:45 the next morning. I will never book with Frontier again.

Ripped off with Go Wild Pass

I have a purchased annual go wild pass I cannot use because frontier locked me out of my account.

My email account was deactivated by google. No problem I have to go through all of my accounts and update my email address.

When I got to frontier, my account login gave me an error and I was logged out of the app for the first time ever. I use a password locker and had not made any password changes. But during this exercise of updating my passwords I noticed some of my accounts locked my account after getting a return to sender message. No big deal, there was always a way for me to update my account. And with Frontier I should be able to contact customer service right. Ha!

On the phone, customer service told me to complete a form and provide my id. Was told this in two separate calls. I completed the form and gave them a copy of my passport. Instead of them updating my credentials, I get an email saying just use the password reset function. I explained to the rep I cannot use the password reset function with an email that no longer exists. Their response was to ignore me. Three emails later no response. I have messages on their social media. Also filed with a few regulators.

The problem is I spent nearly $600 on an annual go wild pass that expires next year. I use this pass for my doctor’s appointments out of state. Now I have so shell out a lot of money with other airlines when I would have been able to drop less than $20 with my go wild pass.

I honestly think they are purposely keeping my account locked so they can keep my money without me being able to use the service.

Overall experience has been very good

Overall experience has been very good. The 40lb per checked bags keeps this review from being rated higher. We had to purchase extra bags to cover the weight almost every other airline has as normal checked bag weight. Get it together Frontier

I will never fly with Frontier Airlines…

I will never fly with Frontier Airlines again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

The baggage and carry-on fees were not clearly disclosed to me during the booking process, and I ended up paying far more than I expected. Checked baggage was $79, and if the bag was over 40 lbs, the fee increased to $99. Carry-on bags were also charged separately, and even selecting a seat required an additional fee. By the time everything was added up, the “low fare” was no longer a good value.

I contacted customer service through the online chat and repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor, but my requests were ignored. I received the same scripted responses over and over, and no supervisor was made available. When I called customer service hoping for a resolution, I was simply charged the fees without any meaningful assistance.

In contrast, I also flew American Airlines on this trip, and the experience was excellent. Their checked bag fee was only $45, they provided complimentary snacks and beverages during the flight, and the overall experience was much more customer-friendly and transparent.

Frontier’s hidden costs, poor customer service, and extra charges for nearly everything make it difficult to recommend, especially for families. I will not be flying Frontier again.

The Flight From Hell

Frontier Airlines provided one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had.

Our flight from Dallas to Las Vegas was scheduled to depart at 8:35 PM and arrive at 9:35 PM. Instead, Frontier delayed it repeatedly with almost no meaningful communication. We waited through one delay, then another, then another, while the departure time kept being pushed later into the night.

We were finally boarded, only to spend even more time sitting and waiting. We did not disembark in Las Vegas until approximately 2:18 AM—nearly five hours after our scheduled arrival.

This was not a minor inconvenience. We had paid for a premium hotel suite for that night, and Frontier effectively destroyed the entire experience. By the time we reached the hotel, the night was over.

What made it worse was the constant uncertainty. Frontier did not provide a clear explanation, a reliable timeline, or any confidence that the flight would actually leave. Passengers were left standing at the gate watching the time change over and over again.

Then we learned that the passengers on the flight after ours had an even worse experience. They reportedly waited for hours, boarded, sat on the aircraft for several more hours, and were ultimately removed because the crew timed out. They never even left Dallas.

That says everything about the level of operational dysfunction we witnessed.

Frontier may advertise low fares, but the real cost is paid in wasted time, stress, ruined plans, and complete uncertainty. A cheap ticket is not a bargain when the airline cannot reliably get you to your destination.

I will never fly Frontier again. I would rather pay significantly more for another airline than risk losing another night of a trip to this level of incompetence.

Avoid Frontier unless you are comfortable with your departure time, arrival time, and entire itinerary being treated as optional.

This was my first time flying Frontier…

This was my first time flying Frontier Airlines, and unfortunately, it left a very negative impression.

The most concerning part of my experience wasn't even something that happened directly to me—it was the way I watched another passenger be treated. The passenger had already spoken with a Frontier representative earlier, who explained that the Frontier app was not allowing her to check in and advised her to return later with a screenshot of the error so she would not be charged the airport check-in fee. When she returned, another employee, Nicole, immediately began speaking to her in a loud, disrespectful manner, insisting she was in the wrong line and that she had done something wrong.

The passenger repeatedly tried to explain that the app was not working and even showed Nicole the error message. Nicole ignored her explanation, took the passenger's phone, and attempted to check her in herself—only to receive the exact same error message. Instead of apologizing, she simply told the passenger to get in the assistance line, which was where she had been all along. Watching someone be spoken to that way, especially when the issue was caused by Frontier's own technology, was disappointing and unnecessary.

I also experienced problems with Frontier's self-service kiosks. Frontier requires passengers to print their own bag tags to avoid additional fees, but the kiosks were malfunctioning and would only print one bag tag for passengers checking two bags. When your equipment isn't working properly, customers shouldn't be made to feel like they are the problem.

The one bright spot was the first Frontier representative we encountered. She was kind, patient, and professional, proving that great customer service is possible.

Technology issues happen, but how employees respond is what customers remember. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism displayed by Nicole overshadowed the positive interactions we had with other staff.

Based on this experience, I will seriously reconsider flying Frontier again. I hope Frontier addresses both the technical issues with its check-in process and the customer service provided at the airport. Respect and professionalism should be the standard for every passenger.

NEVER RIDE FRONTIER THEY ARE THE WORSE

I booked a flight with Frontier back in March 2026 for a flight on July 6, 2026. The flight was canceled, no explanation was given. Frontier never offered to rebook my flight. Options was a refund that would take 7-10 business days or a travel credit. I accepted the travel credit because I needed to get home. The next flight out was July 9th. I booked the flight and applied the travel credit, it wasn't enough to cover my flight charges. Frontier would not match it stating because I bought my tickets back in March they were cheaper and now more expensive so I had to cover the difference. I spoke with a Frontier supervisor who did everything in his power to not help me. All of my phone conversations with Frontier were recorded on my end. I had to pay$190 to get the flight booked. On July 9th I'm at the airport to find out 2 hours after I had been there the flight was canceled. Again, no explanation to why. A rebook for the flight again not offered and this time I didn't accept the travel credit I wanted a full refund. I had to catch a taxi from the airport to the bus stop. The bus for my daughter and I back to where I was staying. I was stuck in New York until the July 13th when I rented and car and had to drive 16 hours to get home. Frontier is denying covering my out of pocket expenses stating the cancelation was out of their control. How do I know that? We were never told why either of the flights were canceled. They never offered to rebook any of the flights. Then I'm told that the travel credit cannot be refunded to my credit card. I'm never flying with Frontier again! So I don't need the travel credit. I financially am in a struggle due to the amount of money I had to spend after the canceled flight to get home. The rental, gas and tolls, food, lost wages, taxi and bus transportation. This is a result of Frontier canceling the flights and failing to tell their customers why. They do this so they can claim it was out of their control. But how can customers judge that? We were never told a reason. I filed a complaint with the Department of Transportation and Frontier stated that on good faith they would issue me a refund for the travel credit but that's it. The rest isn't their fault. The response they gave was total bullcrap. On their website it states that if you are held or delayed on the plane and hour or longer that they would offer food and water to its customers. That's a total lie. I sat on a Frontier plane at Atlanta International Airport for 3 hours and we were offered nothing! Now if that's policy as they claim why was it not followed then. This is by far the worst airline out there! They should have canceled Frontier and kept Spirit Airline.

Early arrival means nothing lack of help and broken kiosk machine lead to delay and Early lock out for luggage and many missed flights with the fake apologies. They over booked and fine was to fix it by delaying check in so you miss your flight. 3rd time having some type of issue with them from mixing up paid seating to luggage again I'm done i will pay a little extra with another airline for piece of mine
