Very poor and unprofessional service

Very poor and unprofessional service. I will never fly Southwest again because of the way I was treated by the employees at the Nashville airport. I was removed from the airplane even though the passenger sitting next to me was the one who became verbally aggressive and repeatedly cursed at me. I followed the flight attendants instructions and remained calm, yet I was still removed from the flight. To make matters worse, they offered me only thirty dollars for a ticket that cost more than four hundred and fifty dollars. The way this situation was handled was completely unfair and extremely disappointing.

I want to make it zero stars.I flown…

I want to make it zero stars.I flown with SWA for over 50+ flights over the years. I miss open seating. I asked the agent at LAS to make a simple revision so I could sit with my girlfriend on the flight. I was put 15 rows away. They have burned all their bridges with me. I will never fly with them again.

Priority is all they cared about- not even people delayed 24hrs matter more than priority

So, after our flight being delayed 4 times, we arrived a day later to a check-in kiosk that didn't recognize us anymore. We waited in the "open lanes" line as opposed to the priority lanes, as we are not priority customers. There were 4 agents available at that time- july 18th at about 130pm-three black females in open lanes and Damian at the priority desk. When the furthest open lane became available, my party headed that direction only to be met with wandering eyes and obvious distain. When my wife asked directly to check in, she was wholly ignored. Confused, she asked if WE had done something wrong, and why wasn't this employee responding at all. Only when I started to approach to confront this inept, extremely rude, person did she respond in a whisper that she hadn't summoned us to approach. She said she had to attend to the priority customers, (that weren't there) before any of the 20 regulars in line. Shortly after this disrespectfully rude employee decided to share this very valuable information, ALL 3 females started laughing at us, pretending no one in the regular line existed, started there own yelling, laughing conversation as they ALL THREE abandoned their posts and disappeared, leaving Damian the only employee to process a line of 20, 4 times delayed customers. It is my opinion, all those females should be fired immediately. Damian is the shining star here- the only star I believe warranted here-that was able to answer our questions, and get what we needed done so we could return home 24 hrs late- with now irrate customers from how those women treated all those people- paying customers- unbelievable. Later in the day, we wouldn't have caught our connecting flight in las vegas, because they changed gates without texting, calling, emailing anyone in our party. We had to approach someone at the gate and ask why the gate we were sent to wasnt displaying our flight, 10 minutes before boarding. Also, Other people in both planes struggling to reach their connecting gate were admonished for trying to get out before all the other people that DIDN'T have a connecting flight. I suggest yall have an announcement before reaching the gate that everyone let people with connecting flights exit first, instead of waiting for all the lemmings that like to just sit there waiting for everyone else. We used to love southwest... this was really disappointing to be delayed by some supposed smoke in the air. It would be nice to hear how the aircraft is affected by a lightly smoky sky close to the ground,( that isn't effected 10k feet up). Utter fail

I am extremely disappointed with my travel experience with “the new and improved” southwest

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience flying with Southwest Airlines.
On July 16, I flew from St. Louis to North Carolina with a layover in Orlando. My connecting flight was delayed by two hours. Unfortunately, my return trip on July 19 was just as frustrating. My flight departing North Carolina was delayed by 45 minutes, and then my connecting flight in Nashville was delayed another two hours.
As if the repeated delays were not enough, I was told at the gate that because I was in Group 8, I would have to check my carry on bag because there was supposedly no overhead bin space remaining. This was especially frustrating because I had paid extra for seating toward the front of the aircraft specifically to increase the likelihood that there would be room for my bag. Imagine my surprise when I boarded the plane and found that there was, in fact, available overhead bin space. I was forced to check my bag when it was completely unnecessary.
What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the customer service representatives. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience or showing any empathy, they were rude, dismissive, and completely nonchalant about the multiple delays and forcing passengers to check bags unnecessarily. A little professionalism and compassion would have gone a long way.
What is most disappointing is how much Southwest has changed. The airline once built its reputation on customer service and customer satisfaction, but this updated business model feels far more focused on maximizing profits than taking care of passengers. The price differences between the Basic, Choice, and Choice Plus fares are significant, yet the additional benefits do not justify the added cost. Paying more should provide meaningful value, not just avoid unnecessary inconveniences.
Simply purchasing a Basic fare should not automatically result in being placed in Group 8 with the assumption that your carry on bag must be checked, especially when overhead bin space is still available. It feels like passengers who choose the least expensive fare are being penalized rather than treated fairly.
I understand that weather and operational issues can cause delays, and I don't expect an airline to control everything. However, communication, customer service, and treating passengers with respect are entirely within Southwest's control. Between nearly five hours of delays over the course of my trip, being unnecessarily forced to check my carry on, and the dismissive attitude from customer service, this experience left me feeling that my time, money, and loyalty were not valued.
After this trip, I will seriously reconsider whether I fly Southwest Airlines again

Worst Airline in the business

Worst Airline in the business, constantly cancelling, delaying and overselling flights. They never compensate their lack of ethics or professional integrity, nor do they care if you have to spend 4-6 hours sitting on an airport. I seriously don't know how they stay in business. I haven't flown Southwest in years and this will definitely be the last

Outstanding Support!

I had the best customer service I've ever had in my Life the other day when I called to resolve a flight change. Luckily Robert B01 answered my call! He was so invested in getting me the best change and the best deal! I thanked him repeatedly, but I decided to sing his praises here, too, hoping he'll get some kudos from his boss, too!

Dropped us 200 miles from Destination with no rental car reimbursement.

They could have gotten us on an earlier flight to our destination but waited and canceled our flight 20 minutes before boarding, then put us on another flight that dropped us 200 miles short of our destination. Eventually got $200 voucher towards future flights not cash reimbursement for the rental car we had to pay for out of pocket. DAL service rep was rude, wouldn't look at me while I was asking her questions. Flying American from now on.

Trash airline

Trash airline that never has flights leave on time. No refunds or anything offered for the inconvenience. Avoid at all costs.
Flights delayed every single time the last 3 times they were used, independent of the airport. Other planes in the terminal leaving on time.

Spend a little more money and fly on a REAL airline.

Tedious, Exhausting, Incompetent

They have become such trash in every way possible. Their website gives fake errors to change your flight price. Checking out is riddled with issues from logging you out to not loading, to not saving seat. Something constantly and everyone I know who has used it this year is having the same issues. The ne seat policy is also a mess. I fly regularly and have had 1 on time flight since February. I don't hold that against them giving all the many other factors, but they do a poor job at communicating. Have flown them almost exclusively for 15 years, but they are no longer my first choice.

Flights were delayed from one stop to…

Flights were delayed from one stop to the next. Then we were heading home, it was delayed and then canceled. We stuck at the airport with a toddler and infant for 14 days. One flight no wifi. Just whatever they got free movie on the phone.

Disappointed for several reasons.

Flight 4230
Due to inclement weather on day of our flight, many flights were cancelled and rescheduled, including ours. No big deal. We easily rescheduled for a different flight heading out same day.
Flight boarded at 5:20pm. After sitting on the runway about an hour, we started to take off. Within 10 min, Pilot announced that we had to turn back to refuel because of rerouting and needing more fuel to get through the longer duration of flight. No biggie. I am okay with that. Flight attendants begin to announce that some people will miss their connections and had to make new arrangements. At one point, guests going to TN were told that they could switch flights and get their luggage the next day, however overnight stays would be on them. Since when?! Weather was not a direct factor in our delay. The flight attendant wasn’t even friendly or empathetic towards passengers who had to immediately make a choice about their flight.

The guy sitting next to me had gotten up while the flight was refueling, which I had assumed was to use the restroom. He appeared to be a Southwest employee because his polo shirt had the SW logo and he had a SW lanyard on . He was gone almost the entire time that we were refueling. When he came back to the seat next to me, he had a can of water and pockets stuffed with airline snacks. Was he the only one hungry and thirsty after sitting on the hot plane for two hours? This inconsiderate entitlement is what really got me. But then….
when we finally got up in the air around 7ish. I waited patiently for my beverage and snacks. Pretzels were passed out. I have celiac disease, so I asked attendant if she had any gluten free snacks. She stated that they did not have any gluten free snacks. Did I mention that on my way to my vacation I was served gluten free cookies made by Siete. I was extremely impressed to be given them as I know it as a well know gluten free brand. Needless to say, I asked the attendant about the cookies. She said, “oh, the green bags…I only have a limited amount of those for the people sitting up front.” Really? I understand it is something special for the extra leg room people, however, if you have a guest with an allergy, can you not spare one pack of cookies?? Let me remind you that we had just sat on the runway for 2 hours and still had 2.5 hours to go of our flight. Come on people, one pack of cookies, really?

I would also like to mention that I am returning from a cruise vacation where service was top notch. Not a single thing went needed or wanted. Southwest Airlines really needs to take heed on what top notch service is about.
Just before this trip, my husband signed up for the SW credit card because of upcoming travels. I am disappointed Southwest and not sure that I want to build rewards with your flights. Not because I needed a snack, but because it is the outstanding service that I look for in a company.

Part 2….when flight arrived, I immediately received a text message stating that our connector to San Diego would be missed and they cancelled a flight. We went to the desk to deal with our situation. Extremely disappointed to learn that we would not be compensated for ANYTHING! Not hotel or meals. And we could not get our luggage so we didn’t have any toiletries. This has happened to us in the past with another airlines and we were given a card package with toothbrush, etc. Southwest. you are trying to cover yourself with the excuse of weather related factors, however, weather was not a direct cause of our delay. Actually, the employees with the loaded pockets of snacks who sat next to us had even told my husband that we should be able to get coverage on the hotel because weather was not a direct factor.

Disappointing to end a vacation with a negative lasting impression on the airlines we trusted and looked forward to booking more flights with.

**I would’ve given 1 star, except that the pilot did his job and got us there safely.

Southwest sucks!

I have flown Southwest airlines exclusively for 30 years. But I will not be flying with them again.

The automatic seating policy is horrible! My fa.ily was placed in the last row of a 737 plane that was 2/3rd empty, and the stewardess, would not let us move to a seat closer to the front of the plane. Additionally, she was not very nice with her response.

Inconsistent refund practices. In one airport we got a refund for a baggage we paid for that was supposed to be free because the flight was full. In a other airport customer service said it was not possible.

I would rate this airline a 0 now if I could.

The only thing I have to say is I think…

The only thing I have to say is I think the assigned seats take longer to board. Also Southwest needs to really start asking for proof of disability due to the fact people r abusing it to get on the planes first. Half the people doing it do not have to use a wheel chair outside of here. I talked to an elderly lady about it today. She has a truck, a car and drives trips etc uses it to get on the planes first most are lying
