I want to share my experience with DT Boxes to help others avoid the same frustration.
I spent over £700 with DT Boxes, £650 for the crate and then I went and ordered door bumpers and bumper mat.
I used the crate without issue for 10 months, but after swapping cars, we discovered the crate was too wide, too tall, and did not match the measurements I ordered.
When I contacted DT Boxes, my messages were initially ignored. After reaching out via WhatsApp and sending a video showing the crate as a DT6 with the wrong measurements, their first excuse was that the DT6 size had changed. Even so, my order clearly shows a 940mm wide crate, as shown on my receipt.
They then promised to replace it “next week.” That week came… and went. Then they promised “next week” again. And again. It seems “next week” is their favourite word for delay. There has been no apology, no accountability, and no recognition of the inconvenience caused. After repeated follow-ups, I finally set a firm deadline of 31st October, which they are now failing to meet.
As of today, DT Boxes have informed me they will collect the faulty crate tomorrow, but the replacement will not arrive until… you guessed it — next week, outside the deadline. They even asked if I had a pallet, which I did not, but could have easily arranged if they brought the replacement on a pallet — same day, problem solved. Yet, they refused.
After repeated delays, broken promises, no apology, and complete lack of accountability, I am now pursuing a Small Claims Court claim to get my refund.
Take this as a caution: If you order from DT Boxes, be prepared for endless “next week” excuses, delays, and poor communication. Don’t expect them to honour their commitments without persistent follow-up — and even then, there’s no guarantee.
