The most horrible airline ever

The most horrible airline ever. I had a ecredit from the previous refunds. They apply all kinds of hidden rules to make it unable to use. Whatever price the ticket is, they deduct $800 from the credit, even if the ticket is cheaper than $800. The credit comes from two people’s tickets, and it can only be applied to one person. The most evil service is ever

I have been on the phone waiting for someone to pickup for almost 3 hours.
Do they care about their customers?
I am still waiting and no one has picked up.
They should hire more people if they cared.
It is the absolute worst experience.

I booked my trip directly through Delta…

I booked my trip directly through Delta Air Lines, and as a Delta Reserve cardholder, I’m entitled to two free checked bags. Despite this, Delta’s partner airline still charged me baggage fees at check‑in. Delta advertises that Reserve card benefits apply when booking through Delta, yet the partner airline refused to honor them and insisted I pay out of pocket.

What made this even more frustrating was the lack of support. Delta directed me to the partner airline, and the partner airline claimed it was Delta’s responsibility. I was stuck in the middle with no clear resolution and no acknowledgment of the benefits I’m supposed to receive.

If Delta is going to rely heavily on partner carriers, they need to ensure those partners actually honor Delta’s published benefits. Otherwise, customers end up paying for perks that aren’t delivered. This experience left me feeling misled and unsupported, and it’s unacceptable for a major airline.

I’m really upset after a day of repeated rebooking and being at the airports for almost 8 hours combined just to have my luggage with my meds and house keys lost. I should have been home originally by 5:45 on 7/19/2026 but didn’t get home until 12:15 am 7/20/2026 with no meds or keys. I’m disabled and diabetic. I had no way to go get food at the airports for fear of falling because I can’t walk long distances. I want some kind of compensation or refund for the horrible experience yesterday 7/19/2026

Got boarded no attendant to gate check…

Got boarded no attendant to gate check our stroller. where’s the staff to help?

Hopped on the 1st plane, just to be delayed for over an hour. We had a connecting fight/layover in Detroit that we couldn’t miss, so rushing out the plane to get to another one with limited time, as it said doors closes 15 minutes to departure made us have a sense of urgency just to find out our stroller was left behind. Few others on flight had missed their connecting flights as wells. Poor planning for connecting flights.

We realized once we got to our connecting flight’s gate to be told we need to get on board the plane and was told to call customer service to help locate it later. Here are my issues,

1. No staff to be found at gate.
2. Maintenance issues boarding our first flight causing a significant amount of frustration/anxiety trying to plan our way to the connecting flights gate.
3. Not enough between one flight to the other, and told if we don’t get to the gate on times, we’ll be booked on the next available one (vague and unclear.)
4. Overbooked flight, requested to be seated with wife and 1 year old child. Was seared together then asked to move.
5. Puts their staff in a bad position, where they want to do the right thing but then it’s clear that customer service is not really a priority.
6. Plane lavatory stunk like a porta-potty. Seat table had dried coffee stains. Unsanitary.
7. Staff is nice but looks unhappy. Just going through the motions.
8. Spent >8hr of wait time trying to get a customer service rep via chat to get clarification on the lost stroller to be redirected to the automated chat service.

Disappointing performance compared to the others.

I was at the Duluth Air show on July 11th, 2026. While I did see several Delta Airlines planes, all of them just went straight down the runway and flew away. Not a single barrel roll or loopty loop. I am being generous with 4 stars in the hopes you will improve your performances next year.

Don’t Fly Delta

Our flight from NY to Vegas was cancelled. We were rebooked to United, Delta said they would still send the bags. They didn’t. They refuse to help. Won’t even pick up the phone to call United to help. Lazy, rude, useless people.

Stuck on the runway diverted to…

Stuck on the runway diverted to Augusta. Once again Delta stretched their pilots to thin and they are out of flying hours. Passengers being told they can sleep in Augusta airport or maybe Atlanta if another pilot team shows up around 1:00 am, maybe. Delta continues to drop the ball while their half ass CEO makes bank.

We had a wonderful 11 day tout of…

We had a wonderful 11 day tout of France that ended horribly with the WORST service I’ve ever encountered in my 61 years. That’s saying something as I have traveled to 23 countries, most multiple times. I lived in Japan and Hawaii having to travel back and forth to the US frequently.
We had a 9:50 minute flight from Paris to Salt Lake City that was great. Once we arrived state side it all were sideways. Actually before we landed my wife received multiple text indicting there were going to be delays. After the fourth we knew Delta has zero interest in their customer service. In the end there were at least 7 time changes and our gate was LITERALLY changed to the total opposite side of the terminal just minutes after my wife received a food voucher. We ordered a pizza as that was all the voucher cover but as DELTA jerked us around and moved the departure gate to the complete opposite side of the terminal we never received our meal. Then when we did hustle across the entire terminal the flight was once again delayed. The 1:50 minute flight was delayed 6.5 hours. We boarded one plane completely at about the four hour mark only to sit on the plane for 45 minutes and then the pilot told us the plane was not fixed and we had to debark. 2.5 hours later when we boarded the final plane this pilot admitted over the intercom his dinner was interrupted when DELTA called him and asked if he could pilot the flight. That is evidence DELTA not only knew our plane had mechanical issues but the didn’t even have a pilot to fly our plane. To me that shows management is so incompetent the cannot handle what I am sure is a regular occurrence and that the customers are cattle. As Americans are sheep I am sure no one else will complain so the piss poor service will continue. DELTA will continue their abysmal service and collect their revenue while abusing their customers. If you have not figured it out yet, we will NEVER fly with DELTA or any of its affiliated line again. Every person on that fly should
Led at a minimum have received a refund or another ticket for a future flight. It’s VERY clear DELTA had NO REGARD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS TIME. I’ve reached out to my political representatives fully aware they fly chartered planes, do not witness this mistreatment by the airlines and therefore have zero intention of holding airlines to account. Our experience is mild in comparison to what I’ve heard and seen in the media. What has become clear is the American public are sheep and ENABLE the poor airline performance by meekly and passively accepting the unacceptable.

Dear Delta Air Lines,

Dear Delta Air Lines,

I'm writing this publicly because my 88-year-old mother's experience deserves to be heard, and I hope Delta will make this right.

On June 9, 2026, my mother, (88 years old), flew from Atlanta to Phoenix on Delta Flight 796. Because of her age, she requested assistance getting to the gate. Delta employees in Atlanta had no problem issuing my sister an escort pass so she could walk with our mother, help organize her belongings, make sure she was comfortable, and prepare her for the flight.

Fast forward to July 8, when it was time for her to return home on Delta Flight 348 from Phoenix to Atlanta.

I arrived at the Delta ticket area around 8:15–8:30 a.m., nearly two hours before her 10:14 a.m. departure, expecting to receive the same accommodation.

Instead, I was met by Felix, a Phoenix Delta manager, who immediately told me Delta had not issued escort passes "for several years" and that my sister had simply "gotten lucky" in Atlanta.

I then waited approximately 20 minutes in line before reaching Delta employee Glenn.

Glenn listened to my and my mother’s explanation, understood why I needed the pass, and actually began printing it.

Then everything changed.

While Glenn was processing the escort pass, Felix called him on his personal phone and instructed him not to issue it. Glenn had to stop printing the pass and told me that if I went back and spoke with Felix again, he might reconsider.

I and my mother respectfully approached Felix a second time.

I explained that this wasn't about convenience.

This was about my 88-year-old mother. My mother also pleaded with Felix.

Why I needed to accompany her to the gate to help organize her belongings, make sure she had time to use the restroom before boarding, ensure she was comfortable with the wheelchair attendant, and help prepare her for a long flight home.

Felix refused both of our requests.

He simply said he wasn't issuing any escort passes that day.

Because of the time lost trying to resolve this issue, my mother was rushed to the gate by a wheelchair attendant with only about 10 minutes before boarding.

She didn't have enough time to prepare herself before getting on the aircraft.

During the flight, my mother suffered an embarrassing onboard accident.

Anyone with an elderly parent can understand how humiliating and emotionally painful something like that can be.

As her son, it broke my heart.

No 88-year-old woman should have to feel rushed, embarrassed, or humiliated while traveling.

What made this even more upsetting was what happened after she landed in Atlanta.

My sister learned there was an internal note on our reservation instructing employees not to issue escort passes to our family because we had allegedly been rude.

That statement is simply false.

At no point did I yell, threaten anyone, or become disrespectful. I did exactly what any son would do—I respectfully advocated for his elderly mother.

Ironically, despite seeing that note, the Delta employees in Atlanta treated my mother with kindness, dignity, and compassion. They understood what Phoenix apparently did not.

This isn't just about an escort pass.

It's about consistency.

It's about respect.

It's about compassion for elderly passengers.

Most importantly, it's about treating our parents and grandparents with the dignity they deserve.

I'm asking Delta Air Lines to:

Investigate what happened in Phoenix.
Correct the inaccurate note placed on our reservation.
Review how elderly passengers are accommodated.
Ensure no other family has to watch an aging parent go through what my mother experienced.

Delta, I hope you'll do the right thing.

Because someday, every one of us will either be the elderly passenger—or the son or daughter trying to care for one.

Please share this post so Delta sees it.

I had a international flight and since…

I had a international flight and since i’ve traveled with Delta before and had nothing but good customer service. I decided to book my next trip with my dog, everything went great in my first flight until i had my connecting flight from Atlanta to MCI at the check in the lady was very kind to let me know i could board first due to my dog so i could put the doggy carrier on a bin and then accommodate my dog on the bottom of my seat. So i wouldn't keep people back, THE GUY AT THE GATE ( they changed it twice) was incredibly rude, when i told him what the check in counter told me, not only was he rude he even gave a look a very discriminator one and just said and thats not my problem : talk to a flight attendant when there obviously was none in sight. NEVER AGAIN using this airline and it’s shocking that you hire and protect people who dod this. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and i will be contacting a lawyer since i got the name. DO BETTER

I had the most amazing flight from Valdosta Ga to Seattle Washington lastnight. The stewardess were so friendly, helpful and comforting. And the pilots were awesome. I have a huge fear of flying and a huge anxiety issue. But they really made my experience so stress free. It’s really calming when the pilots explain what’s going on with weather, turbulence, and noises. I will only fly Delta from here on out.
