Hi, I've been annoyed a lot by the difficulty to choose the correct data source when you edit a graph. This happens when and if you have a duplicated data source. This patch makes the data source selection a lot easier in these cases. If you find it nearly impossible to find the correct data source in the sometimes huge dropdown lists this idea is for you... maybe? Let me know if it is! It will give you: * An ID column in the "Data Sources" list. * ID prefixes in Graph Management: "Graph Item Fields" -- ___ |K | Ongame e-solutions AB - www.ongame.com | /\| Mikael Fridh / Technical Operations |_\/| tel: +46 18 606 538 / fax: +46 18 694 411 |

Yes, they appear to be broken graphic icons. When I right click the image, and click the " View Image " option at firefox or IExplore, it gives me the following feedback "The Image "http://10.1.1.100/cacti/graph_image.php?local_graph_id=3D54&rra_id=3D0&vie= w_type=3Dtree&graph_start=3D1143556297&graph_end=3D1143642697" contain erros and cannot be viewed." Hi Richard=0D Thanks a lot for you help , I have posted this question in the forum cacti:scripts and templates with subject "no datas in the graph" but no answer... Below the answers We would need some more info: - what OID is queried ? 1.3.6.1.4.1.18328.1.1.915.0 - would does an snmpwalk against this OID return? ./snmpwalk -c public -v 1 193.43.236.193:8161 1.3.6.1.4.1.18328.1.1.915.0 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.18328.1.1.915.0 =3D Counter32: 33402 - is this a GAUGE or a COUNTER? GAUGE ( I have tested COUNTER too but without succes) - what is the MAXIMUM defined for the failing data source? 1000000 ( I have tested other value but without succes) - please perform an "rrdtool fetch <rrd file> AVERAGE" and post the last 10 lines of the outcome to see, whether data is stored and perhaps "only" graphing fails. rrdtool fetch /var/www/cacti/rra/mms_gateway_1_snmp_oid_886.rrd AVERAGE 1143533100: nan 1143533400: nan 1143533700: nan 1143534000: nan 1143534300: nan 1143534600: nan 1143534900: nan 1143535200: nan 1143535500: nan 1143535800: nan 1143536100: nan 1143536400: nan 1143536700: nan 1143537000: nan 1143537300: nan 1143537600: nan 1143537900: nan Posting to the forum may give you faster results, as there's a lot more traffic Message: 3 Date: Sat, 25 Mar 2006 15:02:35 +0100 From: Reinhard Scheck <Rei...@te...> To: cac...@li... Posting to the forum may give you faster results, as there's a lot more traffic Reinhard |

A new documentation site is being created. But it will last some time to be complete. You may find more info at http://forums.cacti.net. There's much more traffic compared to the mailing list. And you'll find some howto's there. If you have a precise question, I'll try to help find me at the forums as user "lvm" Reinhard moh...@be... wrote: > > > > > Dera colleagues , > > I have found a basics documentation for cacti (on cacti site) , I need > more detail concerning cacti , can you let me know where I can find this > type of document. > > Thanks > > Mohamed > > > > **** DISCLAIMER **** > http://www.belgacom.be/maildisclaimer > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language > that extends applications into web and mobile media. I have taken an old patch that allows cacti to use apache's mod_securid and I tweaked it to work with mod_auth_kerb. One modification I had to make to the cacti source that wasn't in the original patch was to allow '@' and '.' characters in usernames. I'd like to request this as a feature. Could cacti officially support email addresses as userids in cacti? As a sidenote, if anyone is interrested in this patch (against 0.8.6h) send me a line. Thanks for the great tool!
