Have been unable to get the device to calibrate. Have followed all of the AI support bots recommendations several times. I have suggested that the unit is faulty but have not been offered a replacement. I then requested a refund to be told that you have to request that within 14 days of delivery. Currently waiting on some sort of human intervention but hopes are not high.
Update 21-7-2026 - once actual humans got involved the issue was quickly dealt with and a full refund provided. The device just didn't work for me.

This improves the interaction with my physician
I bought the Hilo without having high blood pressure but because I wanted to support my mother who suffers from it and was afraid to use "this digital thing". Four weeks later I can comfortably say that she loves it and even at my latest check-up visit I had a great conversation with my physician about my cardiovascular health and how great this new technology is (this never happens otherwise)!
I'm very happy with this product and can only recommend it.

I’m using Hilo to help monitor blood pressure while my GP and I adjust my medication. Because I’m also on a 3000–4000 KJ daily deficit for essential weight loss after Afib, I rely on continuous readings to understand dizziness, blood pressure swings, and how my body reacts day‑to‑day.
When Hilo is recording properly, it’s incredibly helpful. The insights give me and my GP a clearer picture of what’s happening around episodes of dizziness or instability. But I’ve had quite a few dropouts — missed readings, gaps in the timeline, or periods where the device doesn’t sync. Those gaps make it hard to understand what was happening at the exact moments I needed the data most.
I’m still hopeful because the potential is huge. I just want to share my experience so others in similar situations know that while Hilo can be very useful, continuity of data is really important if you’re relying on it during medication changes or weight‑loss‑related BP fluctuations.

First purchased 2024 and all working fine. Unfortunately my bracelet fell off my wrist 18 days ango and customer support very slow to respond to request to replace it. I have sent 8 emails over the course of 18 days and still have not had a satisfactory response. There is no phone number to call. Very disappointed with the service.

I needed Hilo to manage night time hypertension and it has been very helpful in providing evidence for adjusting BP control strategies and changes to medications to optimise BP control.

attention!
i have compared the readings of the HILO band and cuff the measurements are NOT reliable. they are appoximately 20 points above readings in TWO other tensiometers.
while responses from support are prompt, they seem to be standard, boilerpoint. further research in the facebook forum indicate t-hat i am not th-e only one wth tphis problem
Ihabe now received a most misleading response. The problem has NOT been solved. Answer to my query was a prepared answer that only proposed that my initial installation was incorrect. This I tried, responded and got a completely ridiculous answer.
My conclusion: do not count on “technical support” from Hilo. Use oler, much more reliable tensiometer!

Original purchased in 2023. Stopped charging after 5 months, but had the unit replaced under warranty. Carried on with readings for a further 9months or so, before it refused to charge again. I would say the app is good.
When you realise (having bought it) that it’s readings are consistently out by about 10% vs a GP-calibrated monitor, it’s okay for daily averages until it breaks (again), but if you want accuracy and value, don’t bother here!

I bought the device (my Doctor didn't recommend it and said only needed it checked every 6 months) I had a few issues with the accuracy compared to cuff measurement with the NHS approved device at the surgery, I e-mailed 5 times, yes 5 times and no response...buying a Hilo device is a spectacular waste of money!

I have worn the band for several weeks, I have calibrated it regularly. It consistently gives much higher readings than arm worn cuff. This is using a machine from my surgery. I have also had several readings at surgery by medical staff. Their experience of device is that generally it is inaccurate. I have received reply from company and complied with the instructions. It still reads consistently higher than using an arm cuff device. I appreciate that many people are finding it works for them but not for me sadly.

It was so easy to set-up, and seeing my blood pressure over time is really helpful (and reassuring).

I started to suffer from high blood pressure a year ago and I have been waiting for an innovation such as the Hilo band. Unfortunately , I doubt the accuracy of the Hilo band. I have become very good at knowing how my body feels at certain levels, so when I saw consistent readings of 150/100 (way too high) I tested against a tradition cuff device. Sure enough my bp was 130/85 on average of four readings, same arm. Then I had to go hospital due to chest pain. I had the experience of being attached to a constant hospital device on one arm and Hilo on the other. Hospital average was 120/80 or less and Hilo showed 145/90 (and I asked hospital to check if I have vascular issue causing different level between arms - they checked the other arm with their machine and hospital measurements were consistent at 120/80). So, bottom line , I don’t really trust the device. Also, there have been so many times where I sync the band and don’t see any measurements (they have a list of reasons why you dont get readings, like the temperature of your hands…).
Also,I wish it had a an alarm to beep at certain levels - that would be helpful in theory at night time. Also, the band is not durable - so much fiddling - not easy to put on and off like my whoop band .

I have had the Hilo wristband and cuff for 5 months. I have been on blood pressure medication for the past 20 years. I have a very rare heart condition (AL Amyloidosis with Cardiac Involvement). So, accurate blood pressure readings are critical to my ongoing medical care.
Last night for example at 4am, my Hilo BP was 87/48 which is dangerously low. Based on the three month’s very low BP figures, my cardiac consultant has steadily reduced my BP medication which comprised Amlodipine (5mg) & Losartin (100mg). I now take only Losartin (25mg} medication
Just a few minutes ago, my Hilo BP registered 113/66. A conventional cuff reading showed BP of 133/72 at the identical time
The management of my BP as a result of the Hilo readings is potentially life threatening and I no longer intend to use the wristband. The current BP Medication is woefully inadequate and could do untold damage to my heart, given my acute diagnosis.
I've been using the Hilo band for over a year now and I find it extremely useful. It's the first time that I am dealing with blood pressure medication, and it has helped me figure out the right dosage for the medication that works for me and also helped me figure out actions during the day that I need to watch out as my blood pressure spikes or gets impacted by things I go through. Definitively recommend, though I would mention that a secondary measurement device is a good idea to have a complete view over your blood pressure. Customer support was a pleasure to interact with as well.
The wristband is unobstrusive and the app is very easy to use. Needs frequent recalibration with the cuff
Great product providing useful data. I just hope it’s accurate as compared to standard bp measurement methods.
I have had my device for 8 months. The device is fine, when it works. The artificial assistant advice was useless, and although it is extremely hard to speak with a real person, the support provided by Ivan was excellent. Thank you
My husband and I absolutely love our Hilo bracelet bands! It’s been invaluable having our blood pressure data consistently being tracked. As my husband has heart failure and had 2 major heart surgeries just before finding these, we’ve been very reassured having real time data at the palm of our hands (in the app on our phone!). Our doctors have appreciated the ease of sharing the data with them as well!
Delivery was approximately five days

Overall, I found it personally to show higher blood pressure readings so it doesn’t provide a true and accurate representation when compared to traditional methods or at theGP
Fairly easy to set up. Cuff gives similar readings to my Withings monitor so seems accurate.
Band seems expensive compared to others on the market but does include BP arm cuff and one year subscription to app. On going subscription seems expensive especially as app and therefore band will not function without it.
I opted in the end for Hilo as it seems to allow you to calibrate the band using the cuff.
