Apple iMac 4
Firstly, Apple Support is second to none. Readily available, they ensure they fix the problem. Been with them on my phone for years and thank God I had it with the iMac.
I recently switched from a Windows PC for the first time because Windows summarily decided to delete all my documents and photos on One Drive. The time had come to part ways.
I've always preferred the iPhone so I thought I'd be happy with a Mac. The shop that sold it said if you can use an iPhone you can use a Mac. That is not true.
I'm used to visibility of objects of access, a quote from my Masters Degree in Computer Science. Can you clearly see what you want to do? Then expected results, does the button you press do what you thought it would.
The Mac fails that. What is a Go menu? If you know Mac it's obvious, but as a newbie it isn't. Downloading programmes was a nightmare, the first three I downloaded did so in three different ways, they didn't download to the same place in the same way.
To download a photo from Canva I have to drag it from downloads to the desktop then into my documents. When you open the downloaded photograph there is no save option. I've looked at every menu. I've worked it own now, go to Finder, Downloads, find photograph, drag to desktop, open documents, drag it to the folder. It's an okay process but not an intuitive one.
So saying, it's a great machine, I really love it, and I can actually add a Zoom Background, problem is I've forgotten how I did it and can't change it. There is no menu option that I can find that says change background. I'll hunt it down, it will be there, when I have time.
That's the main problem, time. You need time to get to know a Mac. You have been warned!
