Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 10,809 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. People frequently struggle to reach a human for assistance, facing endless hold times, unhelpful customer service, and frustrating communication barriers during calls. Consumers also complain about unexpected price hikes, expensive bills, and unreliable broadband service that frequently disconnects or buffers. However, some customers also noted pleasant and helpful experiences when interacting with specific staff members in person or over the phone. These reviewers warmly appreciated employees who genuinely took the time to explain packages, resolve technical problems patiently, and secure great deals. Some people felt that these exceptional colleagues provided a wonderful level of support despite wider company issues.

Hello John.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've experienced with both your broadband service and the support you've received while trying to get the issue resolved.

I can appreciate how frustrating it must be to deal with ongoing broadband dropouts over several months, particularly when you've made numerous attempts to contact us and feel that no progress has been made. Having to repeatedly call, spend significant time waiting for assistance, and then feel that your concerns remain unresolved is clearly not the experience we want our customers to have.
We'd welcome the opportunity to review your account, the history of the issue, and any previous contacts to ensure everything has been handled appropriately.

We had sky to and broadband installed…

We had sky to and broadband installed on 1st of September 5 days ago I couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi on a second tv or my laptop I contacted sky via chat what a joke, it kept going over the same thing over and over again on how to install the puck that was installed by sky engineer password for 1st hub does not work on any other devises other than original tv. They sent a new puck so disconnected the first one forgetting this network installed the new one and connected to tv only to find that even with new puck and password it reverts to first puck so can not connect laptop or second tv still just had an email from sky telling me again to follow the steps on help section, I have done this over and over again so I told them i either want a sky engineer out or I’m cancelling everything I have only had it five days and spent five days trying to get it fixed

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear that your first few days with Sky have been so frustrating.

I can appreciate how disappointing it must be to have a new service installed and then spend the following five days trying to get your devices connected. From what you've described, you've already followed the troubleshooting steps provided, received replacement equipment, and continued to experience the same issue. Understandably, being directed back to the same help articles without a resolution has only added to your frustration.

It's also disappointing to hear that the issue appears to be affecting multiple devices, including your laptop and second TV, despite the service working on the original TV. Given the troubleshooting already completed and the replacement puck that has been sent, I can understand why you feel a more in-depth investigation is now required.

We want our customers to be able to enjoy their services from day one, and it's clear that this hasn't been your experience. I'm sorry that we've not met your expectations and that you've had to spend so much time attempting to resolve the issue shortly after installation.
If you’re open to it, our team would be more than willing to look into the issues you’ve faced and work towards a solution that feels fair and supportive.

Hello Lorraine

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear that your experience as a new Sky Broadband customer has left you feeling so frustrated and disappointed.

I can appreciate how exhausting it must be to repeatedly contact us about ongoing broadband issues, only to feel that your concerns remain unresolved. Problems such as delayed messages, poor connectivity, and intermittent internet access can have a significant impact on day-to-day activities, and I understand why this has become a source of stress for you.
I'm sorry that you've been left feeling as though your concerns haven't been taken seriously. We want our customers to feel listened to and supported when things aren't working as they should, and it's clear that we haven't delivered that experience in your case.

Having recently joined Sky, this is certainly not the start we would want for you. We'd welcome the opportunity to review the issues you've reported, the troubleshooting already completed, and the support you've received so far.

Sky told me they have 2 accounts for me.

Sky locked me out of my own account 625018282404 and over weeks will not let me renew my password and user name. I don't get it. Ive spent hours on the phone where they pull various stunts. Today they tell me they: have 2 accounts for me, plus my personal details are wrong. They wonder why I am alarmed. That goes against their terms and conditions and makes my contract null and void. I have to re-new. Does that now mean I will be paying for 3? This country is so corrupt or possibly it's because my council has sold my data.

Hello Julie.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've experienced accessing your account and the amount of time you've spent trying to get this resolved.

I can appreciate how concerning it must be to be told that there may be multiple accounts or incorrect personal details associated with your records, particularly when you're already experiencing problems resetting your username or password. This would understandably raise questions and leave you feeling alarmed.

It's important that the information held on your account is accurate, and we'd like the opportunity to investigate this further.

Very untrustworthy- Poor Customer Service

Just got our first home and as a result dd/TV package. Loved the idea of Sky including the TV package but so glad we have managed to get out before it’s too late. We have been waiting a month for broadband. An engineer visited mid August and said there was already a box, no need to install one. We were scheduled to be connected yesterday (a month later) and took the day off work losing me £100.00 the be at home. Lo and behold, cannot connect as we need a grey box. The worst part, my partner rang up to reorganise to be told that the next appointment is in 3 weeks which we would need to take another day off for losing me more money. Which would leave us 2 months without internet. My partner has a neurological condition and asked to cancel the appointment as we would discuss going elsewhere. He asked 3 times to cancel the appointment (which we never consented to booking in the first place she just did of her own accord) whilst we decide what to do (not the contract) and the lady continuously ignored him and still booked the appointment in. With this in mind we have quickly run for the hills as was still within our cooling off period. However if you can’t trust them from the beginning it speaks volumes. Not even an apology. It’s a shame as it’s a great product. Will look to go with Virgin Media now sadly as found the customer service to be more trustworthy.

Hello.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your experience with your broadband installation and customer service has left you feeling so disappointed, particularly as this was your first experience with Sky in your new home.

I can completely understand your frustration. After arranging your services, waiting a month for activation, and taking time off work to be available for the appointment, it's understandably upsetting to then be told that the installation couldn't be completed because further work was required. I appreciate the inconvenience this has caused, as well as the financial impact of having to take time away from work.

I'm also sorry to hear about the confusion surrounding the installation requirements and the subsequent appointment. Clear communication is extremely important, especially when customers are making arrangements around work and personal commitments. It's disappointing to hear that you felt your concerns were not listened to when discussing the next steps and that an appointment was booked despite your partner requesting otherwise.

I appreciate how important a reliable internet connection is, particularly when there are personal circumstances that make being connected even more important. Given the delays and the experience you've described, I understand why you felt cancelling within the cooling-off period was the right decision for you.

While I'm pleased to hear you liked the products we offer, I'm sorry that the service you received at the outset did not give you the confidence you expected. Your feedback will be taken on board, as this is clearly not the experience we want new customers to have.

Hi Atiya,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear how frustrating your experience has been.

I can understand why spending around an hour trying to cancel your contract would leave you feeling disappointed. When a customer decides they want to make changes to their services, they should feel that the process is clear, straightforward, and handled efficiently.

It's clear from your review that the experience didn't meet those expectations and left you feeling that your request was more difficult to action than it should have been.

If you still require assistance with cancelling your services, our teams on the channels below can help you find the right support:

Unprincipled and uncaring. Go somewhere else.

If I could give them zero I would. My mom is elderly and has recently moved to a supported care setting. We have changed her address multiple times and the contact details. Sky refuse to acknowledge this and give the worse excuses I’ve ever heard. I’d have more respect for them if they were honest and just said we don’t understand what you’re saying and don't care anyway. 25 years she’s been with them and this is how she’s treated. The ‘customer service’ teams are not based in the UK and there is a huge language barrier. My husband placed a complaint regarding their lack of care and customer service before terminating the contract. No cares given and they blamed my mom and us for everything. If you have read all of this please do yourself a favour and look somewhere else for TV and broadband. They are truly awful, unprincipled and uncaring.

Hi Nikki,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about the experience you've had while trying to support your mum following her move into supported accommodation.

I can understand how upsetting and frustrating this must have been. When a customer moves address and their circumstances change, particularly when they are elderly and may need additional support, it's important that account details are updated correctly and that those helping to manage the account feel listened to throughout the process.

It's also disappointing to hear that, despite multiple attempts to update the address and contact information, you feel your concerns weren't properly understood or acted upon. Having to repeatedly explain the situation, only to come away feeling that responsibility was being shifted back to you and your family, would understandably leave a very negative impression.

After 25 years as a customer, I appreciate why you expected a higher level of care and support. It's clear from your review that the handling of both the account changes and the subsequent complaint has left you feeling badly let down at a time when you were simply trying to help your mum.

If you need further help regarding the contract termination, the teams on the channels below can help you find the right support:

Sky prove their poor reputation yet again

We booked a home move in plenty of time. The engineer arrived as promised but promptly told he was part time and wouldn't have time to do the job. He said his manager shouldn't have given him the job in the first place but that we would be a priority, that someone would be in touch as soon as he reported the failed job and we would likely get an engineer the following day.
Of course we heard nothing and so called Sky. The guy honestly could not have cared less and the only "solution" he could offer us was anew appointment 10 days later.
The reputation is well deserved. There is no real competition so like it or lump it really.
The engineer did turn up for the appointment and I have to say he was brilliant. Polite, helpful and cared about what he did, looking after our home and did a great job. That bit of the business is spot on but, customer service, and the title is ironic I assume, are appalling.

Hello.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about your experience during your home move.

I can completely understand your frustration. Having arranged your move in advance, only to be told on the day that the engineer had been assigned a job they didn't have time to complete, is understandably disappointing. It's even more frustrating when you're then advised that you'll be treated as a priority and contacted promptly, only to find that no update is provided and you're left having to chase us for information yourself.

I'm also sorry to hear that, when you contacted us for support, you were left feeling that your concerns weren't taken seriously and that the only option available was an appointment 10 days later. We appreciate how disruptive delays like this can be when you're moving home and simply want your services up and running.

That said, I'm pleased to hear that the engineer who attended the subsequent appointment provided such a positive experience. It's great to know they were professional, considerate of your home, and took pride in delivering a high standard of work. I'll be sure your positive comments about their service are recognised.

We never want our customers to feel let down by our communication or support, and it's clear we've fallen short on this occasion. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for providing such balanced feedback on both the areas where we need to improve and the aspects of the service that worked well.

Following on from my previous…

Following on from my previous experience (the multiple reasons why the Sky Glass service is nowhere near as good as it should be). Yesterday I arranged to return to Sky Q and after nearly an hour of conversation with customer service I was informed that Sky Glass would be discontinued and Sky Q reactivated and I should receive my Sky box within a few days. To access TV channels I was told to load Sky Go App onto my laptop and I could continue viewing. It was carried out but each time I tried to access it was denied as error 1410 or 1310 meaning I didn;t have a subscription to view. Another call this morning to sort out the situation resulted in the service guy stating I couldn't get Sky Go because its not part of my Sky Glass package. So no access to TV till my box arrives. The whole customer service system seems a shambles with people either making things up or not being trained up. Why don't these officers have a oversight mamnager who can advise or direct the problem to people better qualified to deal with it. I do not want people answering calls being impacted by the management because the entire process is not working consistently and its easier to blame the front line staff. Sky Train up all your staff and when there is an issue beyond their training have a backup person to handle the problem. It appears that its not just the Sky Glass that is failing to meet the standards it advertises.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for providing such detailed feedback.

We're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered while switching from Sky Glass back to Sky Q. We appreciate how frustrating it must have been to spend significant time speaking with our teams, only to receive conflicting information regarding Sky Go access and then find yourself without a way to watch TV services while waiting for your Sky Q box to arrive.

We understand your concerns about the consistency of the support and guidance you received. I have had nothing but issues with Sky

I have had nothing but issues with Sky!

I was paying £100 per month just to get Sky tv, broadband and movies and in top of that was also paying for sky mobile which again is jist aweful!

My signal on my mobile phone is just shocking and nothing ever works! I have recent moved my daughters phone to EE and she has perfect signal and data everywhere! We also move to EE broadband and TV and I’m paying way much less and getting more than what Sky were offering me!!!!

When my contract with Sky finishes I will 100% be leaving as I am so disappointed and not satisfied with there service! Absolutely shocking

Customer service are also really hard to get hold of and honestly it’s just a bad experience!

Sky customer gor 21 years...

Sky customer gor 21 years.... decided to upgrade to fibre .
Had day off work for the conection and noone came. No call no nothing.
So I lost a day's pay for nothing!
We did get £32 compensation.. great!
Booked again for an afternoon slot .... I called them a few days before to make sure things were definitely going to go ahead .... and was informed that they had now made it a morning slot !! Asked why I hadn't been informed and they didnt know !
Came home early from our holiday to accommodate the now morning slot .. and guess what.... no show AGAIN ! no call or text .. nothing!
I certainly wont be proceeding with this and am already looking elsewhere.
Very very poor from Sky.

Hello, Tim. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we're very sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered during your fibre upgrade.

After being a Sky customer for 21 years, we understand how disappointing it must have been to take time off work for an installation that didn't go ahead, especially when there was no communication to let you know. We also appreciate how frustrating it was to have the appointment changed from an afternoon to a morning slot without you being informed, causing you to alter your holiday plans, only for the installation to be missed again.

While compensation was provided for the first missed appointment, we recognise that this does not make up for the inconvenience, disruption, and time you have lost. The lack of updates and repeated missed appointments are not the level of service we aim to provide.

We completely understand why this experience has left you feeling let down and considering other options. We'd like the opportunity to review what happened and see whether there's anything we can do to help. You can get in touch with us by using these links:
