Initially, Yarbo support was TERRIBLE! I had to email the CEO to get the proper response to my initial questions. Once I was able to get the right amount of attention, all my issues were resolved. Eve... See more

I was a kickstarter backer.
I was a kickstarter backer.
I have had nothing but success with the Yarbo. Full disclosure: only able to use the S1 unit twice this winter due to lack of snowfall; however, the Yarbo has handled both masterfully. It throws snow and scrapes the driveway as well as any man-piloted snowblower unit.
For the Yarbo company, they have been supportive and provides immediate responses (within 24 hours) to inquiries. For example, my original Yarbo unit had difficulties finding GPS. Yarbo kept in constant communication and even provided a new unit free of charge. The new unit works phenomenally.
I recommend the unit to all friends and family. Some notes: the first time setup is a bit difficult and tedious taking multiple hours and involves tasks not suitable for everyone like hammering stakes and mounting an antenna on the roof. Also, there's connection issues if you do not have a proper wifi setup (I use a Mesh system to cover my entire lot).
Overall, very happy with the purchase and feel supported by the company.

Committed to get it right.
With an engineering degree and being involved in both the manufacturing and construction industries.
We all know that everything works on paper.
I went online looking for a machine that was modular allowing me to mow my lawn in the summer and snow blow in the winter. I stumbled across the kick starter promotion for YARBO so I decided what the heck. Although it's release was delayed by almost a year it seems to be well worth the wait.
We haven't had much snow here in Southern New England. But I can say the S1 has performed quite nicely. Yes being a startup having a completely new product launch there are sure to be hurdles. I have been impressed on all levels of the responsiveness of the team at Yarbo. Their level of professionalism is unsurpassed. It's good to see and speaks volumes to their commitment to get it right.
As with anything new product and as I stated earlier "everything works on paper". These past few months has taken the lab and moved it into the real world where everyone has their own setup so the testing gets that much bigger. Yarbo has continued to take these varying conditions and used them to make the product even better. So although not everyone has had a flawless startup Yarbo's commitment to get it correct and level of assistance has been great.
I can't wait for the M1 to launch and yes as with the launch of the S1 there will be hurdles but I'm confident in the ability of Yarbo to overcome those as well.
My only regret right now is we don't have more snow.

Great product, great company
Pros: Yarbo is a great company. Their customer service is like nothing I’ve seen before. They’ll set up face-to-face meetings and even go out to your house in some cases to help you with issues. I’ve always felt supported. The product is high quality and works well in most cases (only tested the snowblower so far). The battery easily gets through my driveway on a single charge and the battery charges fairly quickly on the docking station. The fact it can use different attachments for different jobs is a huge advantage. GPS means no burying wires as borders to your work area. App looks nice and is fairly intuitive. You can adjust just about anything you want to for proper snowblowing (auger height, snow throw distance and direction, speed, etc.)
Cons: The product is getting better all the time, but is in its infancy and so it does have some hurdles it needs to overcome. It’s not yet a set it and forget it device. At a bare minimum I still feel I at least need to monitor it from indoors. It has difficulty with wet snow. Some of the choices made in its construction needs revision (nothing major..certain types of screws used, maybe adding more weight to the body, things like that). While GPS is great, the antenna and docking station locations need a consistently strong signal (which means a clear shot to the sky, possibly putting the antenna on the roof) or it’s not going to work right. Also, part of the setup requires a device being indoors while connected via wire to the antenna outdoors which means having some way of traversing the wires from inside to outside. So you need to be fairly handy to set this up.
Conclusion: Yarbo is an amazing device and despite some challenges it’s worth it. It’s only going to become a better product over time and the company seems very invested in its success and people being happy with the product. I’m very excited to try the lawn mowing attachment and other attachments to come.

Committed to getting it right
More than anything else, Yarbo is committed to getting it right. Their autonomous snowblower is basically the only product in its category (for residential, there are some large ones for cities, etc)
What they are doing is super difficult. However, I have never seen a company with such a level of customer service - they will literally come to your house for free to make sure everything is set up correctly.
It pays off as well - my Yarbo can clear my entire driveway and all I have to do is press the 'start' button.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what other modules they come up with.

A Startup Tech Company that's in it for the Long Haul
I was part of the initial Kickstarter campaign and had my doubts about forking over almost $4,000 to an unknown company with big aspirations. Their original timeline may have been doable at one point but they had to make the difficult decision to delay the delivery of everything by 1 full year. They could have delivered on time but their product would have been inferior and they would have ruined their reputation because of that.
Fast forward to the fall of 2023 and they had been providing very promising updates on design improvements and shipping preparations. My S1 unit finally arrived in November and it was exactly what they promised it would be. Their support has been second to none and they genuinely want every user to love their product.
Make no mistake: there is no other product on the market that can do what the Yarbo S1 can do. This comes with growing pains but Yarbo continues to gain user feedback and improve on their product monthly with firmware and app updates. I haven't had a significant snowfall in New England yet so I haven't been able to fully put it to use but the driveway is mapped and I am ready to go!
Keep up the good work Yarbo!

A new innovative product, one to watch!
When I saw the Yarbo system over a year back on Kickstarter I decided to "take the gamble" and back it. Kickstarter is a risk- you invest, and there are no guarantees. Some projects fail and backers lose their investment.
Yarbo did not meet their original delivery schedule- they decided it was wiser to continue to improve their design and release a superior product.
While the added year delay soured many, the end result was well worth the wait!
This is the first release of the Yarbo body with the S1 snow blower module. I was fortunate to be involved as a tester, and have found Yarbo to be extremely responsive to any issues or suggestions.
I cannot wait for the next season when the M1 lawn mower module is released- I am tired of mowing 2.5 acres of hill!
Like any new product there will be problems, what matters is how they are handled. Yarbo so far has been wonderful. I cannot wait to see what the future brings.

Yarbo truly is the real deal - AMAZING!
My experience from the Kickstarter program, and then through the very transparent communications and now into product support has been amazing. As a professional engineer, and senior technology leader myself, I can confidently say that Yarbo is the real deal. They have shown the commitment of a much more established company and at the same time they continue to show the agility of a highly adaptive and nimble engineering startup.
Hardware: VERY high-quality components throughout. The design and integration of the Snow Blower module to the main Yarbo body as a modular design is fantastic. The blower itself is a powerful 2-stage – powerhouse and throws snow as far and as efficiently as my gas-powered machine. Control of the chute direction and angle (via software or remote control) is seamless and extremely responsive. Speed of the augers is suitable for ay condition.
The Rover/Robot itself can only be described as a BEAST. It’s heavy (you want this for a blower!) yet amazingly nimble. The tank turns when returning to the charger is a thing to behold (its fast!). Construction is, across the board very clearly top-notch. It’s clear that millions have been spent to get this right. Componentry fits together like a Dyson or Apple product. Nothing looks out of place. Lights/LEDs are highly functional and well placed. The autonomous-run warning light is perfect. Kudos to the Yarbo team on this front!
Software: As I said earlier, I am a technology leader by trade. In fact, I have nearly 30 years in hardware and software test engineering. I can say, without a doubt, that Yarbo has taken the significant requirement for solid software very serious. There are two aspects to software in a machine like this: the application that runs remote device-side (iPhone, Android) and the firmware that is installed on the Yarbo itself. The team has been very diligently making GREAT updates to both. Kudos to the software team at Yarbo! It honestly excites me to see the regular updates coming to address bugs through the beta/Kickstarter testing I’ve done on this machine. The application is rich and features are intuitive to use. Control is real-time. And the features that keep on coming keep me salivating for more!
Support: Yarbo has been amazing on the support side. They REALLY stand by their product. They clearly believe in this product and every Yarbo team member I have spoken to is passionate about providing world-class support.
Summary: This machine is truly amazing! Yarbo has absolutely nailed it for all aspects of product design. I say this to anyone who asks me (and now, MANY people have stopped me to ask me about this machine on my property): YARBO IS THE REAL DEAL!

Finally got my Yarbo and so far…
Finally got my Yarbo and so far everything is just excellent! The robot itself with snow blowing is doing a better job then I did lol. As for the lawnmowing that will have to wait until next summer but this is a dream come true for those of us that live in Minnesota!
