À fuir : un robot jetable au bout de 2 ans ! / Disposable robot after 2 years!

My Luba 2 AWD (bought for ~2500€) just passed its 2-year warranty mark and started dying randomly at 23% battery. Support initially estimated a 288€ battery replacement. However, the real shock came with the official diagnostic: an 815€ repair quote! Why? Because on top of the battery, the service center claims the Main Board, the Drive Board, and both Cutting Motors all need to be replaced. A 2500€ robot that requires its entire brain and motors to be replaced after only 2 years proves a disastrous lack of reliability and extremely poor component quality. I refused to pay a third of the robot's price just to keep it alive for another 2 years and told them to recycle it. Save your money and buy a reliable brand with local physical stores.

Now the worst on the market!

Now one of the worst vendors / product on the market due to resent updates. Robot driver out of area, stop mowing random and Mammotion States it works as intended. Just look at all the FaceBook groups - do not buy!

Excellent support

Excellent support. While this is the 3rd time I need support from their customer service to address some issues on my Yuka, they really stand behind their product and resolve the issue I have every time .

I have had the Luba AWD for almost 1…

I have had the Luba AWD for almost 1 year. I liked it at first, but it quickly became apparent that the designers did not consider how much the wheels and turning tear up a lawn. I have tried to get help from customer service (which is not in the US and manned by people who probably never mowed, don't have a lawn and probably don't have a car). These things matter as it drives like a tank. Just like a tank, it destroys the lawns. It's in 3 point turn mode but it still turns on the spot and then moves. That's still destructive. It often does 180 degree turns on the spot. Also, I have it mow an area that is 1/4 the size it is supposed to be set up for and it still requires 3 charges to mow that area. It often freezes and I have to go to it to manually get it going again, thus mowing takes forever. It often does not properly align to recharge, requiring multiple attempts and sometimes I have to manually go out there and line it up. If the front wheels would turn left and right, it would greatly reduce it's destructive nature. I have tried to get past the overseas support, but they won't let me contact anyone else. They keep me on a chat for 30 min or more with 0 results. I'm going to see if I can still return it to the company I purchased it from and buy a different brand. This company shows NO desire to help.

Great products, terrible after-sales service

I have been a loyal Mammotion customer and supporter for years. I even participated in beta testing for LUBA and SPINO S and have recommended Mammotion to others. Unfortunately, my recent warranty experience has completely changed my opinion of the company.

My mower cost **€2,949**, was only about **15 months old** and has a **3-year warranty**. It developed a fault and was sent to Mammotion for repair.

Mammotion themselves stated that repairs normally take **10–15 working days**. That period passed, and weeks later I still did not have my mower back.

What followed was an endless stream of polite emails containing apologies and phrases such as *"we understand your frustration"*, *"we have escalated your case"* and *"we will urge the relevant department"*.

But nobody could answer the only question that mattered:

**When will my mower actually be repaired and returned?**

Mammotion then informed me that they had **no replacement mower available either**.

Instead of simply repairing or replacing my defective mower under warranty, I started receiving increasingly strange "solutions".

First, Mammotion proposed a **depreciated refund of approximately €1,721** for a mower I had purchased for €2,949 and which was still well within its warranty period.

I refused.

Then they proposed trading in/recycling my defective mower while I purchased another Mammotion mower with a discount.

The offers changed from **10% to 20% and eventually 30% discount on a new LUBA 3**.

So after my €2,949 mower failed under warranty, Mammotion's proposed solution was essentially that I should **spend even more money with Mammotion**.

That is not my idea of warranty service.

At one point they even offered me **24 replacement blades worth €55** as compensation for the delay. A nice gesture perhaps, except that I still didn't have a working lawnmower to put them on.

The most frustrating part is that Mammotion's customer service sounds excellent in individual emails. Everyone is extremely polite, apologetic and understanding. But after weeks of communication, I learned that there is a huge difference between **sounding helpful and actually solving a customer's problem**.

My case was supposedly escalated, reviewed and discussed with different departments repeatedly. Yet nobody seemed capable of providing a concrete repair date.

Products can fail. I don't blame a manufacturer simply because something breaks.

**The real test of a company is what happens afterwards.**

A robotic mower costing almost €3,000 is a premium product. At that price, I expect adequate spare parts, sufficient repair capacity and a proper replacement solution if a warranty repair cannot be completed within a reasonable period.

Instead, I lost a substantial part of the mowing season while Mammotion kept sending apologies and changing financial proposals.

This is especially disappointing because I genuinely supported this company and its products. I participated in beta testing, provided feedback and recommended Mammotion to others.

After this experience, I cannot do that anymore.

**Mammotion makes innovative products, but based on my experience their after-sales service is nowhere near the level you should expect from a company selling €2,000–€3,000+ machines.**

Before buying a Mammotion mower, don't only ask how good the mower is.

**Ask what happens when it breaks.**

Unfortunately, that is where my experience with Mammotion went very badly wrong.

Worst customer service

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My lawn mower broke down in March, and it took the company two months just to respond and tell me to ship it to their address. They have now had it for almost two and a half months, and it still has not been repaired. All I receive are repetitive emails saying the repair queue is long and that they will fix it as soon as possible.

Their only alternative was to return the lawn mower without repairing it—which is completely useless to me. After months of delays, poor communication, and no resolution, I would not recommend this company or any of its products to anyone.

Mammontion customer service joke!

To start with, this is about customer service not the machine. I purchased the Luba 3, garage, stand and extra blades for my son as a gift who has a heart condition and no longer able to mow. I purchased items for 3086.00 after tax. Well a week later it drops to 2460 for all same items. Contacted mammotion, they will not do anything. They offered an extra 2 months of warranty. HAHA. A full year extended warranty is 299. I said just add that on and we call it even. They declined. Says I can return it for refund. So i am supposed to take a gift back, just to send it in for refund which takes a couple weeks. Total bullcrap company. Well I have a week left to return and after speaking to my son, think we will send back and just go with the Mova 3000. He likes this machine better (looks) but after reading up on both, the only real difference is customer service. Mova has way better reviews.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever! They have no idea what they're doing! There Dev and tech teams sucks! Constantly putting out buggy updates. They should all be fired.

Seems they do no hardware or software testing before pushing out new firmware. This has been going on for years with no end in sight.

They have proven that they don't learn from their mistakes and they don't put the customer first. They call themselves the number one company in this space, complete lie built on smoke and mirrors.

Paid €294 for repair, stuck for over a month, and support is downgrading my gear

I am writing this review to warn anyone considering Mammotion products about their abysmal post-warranty customer service and repair process.

My Yuka died out of nowhere (Error 1105 / driver board failure) exactly 2 years and 1 day after activation—right as the Kickstarter warranty expired. I sent it to the EU repair center and was billed €294 out of pocket, which I paid immediately.

What followed has been a complete nightmare:

Extreme Delays: It took over 3 weeks just to receive a 3-word diagnostic report ("Driver Board Defect"). In total, I have been left without a working mower for over a month during peak August season.

Broken Agreements: Because the repair was taking so long, Mammotion support formally offered me a replacement unit (Yuka 2000), explicitly promising in writing that it would have "at least the same functionality and model as your original device". I accepted and signed the agreement right away.

Bait-and-Switch on Hardware: My original paid setup includes two batteries, which are required for properly operating the Sweeper Kit. Support has now sent an email stating they will only send a unit with a single battery—directly going back on their written agreement and downgrading the gear I originally purchased and paid to service.

Evasive Support: For days, customer support has been stalling with generic template responses about "checking warehouse stock", refusing to provide a clear shipping date or tracking number.

Paying nearly €300 for a repair only to be stalled for a month and then handed a downgraded product is completely unacceptable business conduct.

Unless this case (RMA: DR202607110171) is resolved immediately with the full dual-battery configuration dispatched as agreed, I am escalating this matter directly to the European Consumer Centre (ECC Net) and consumer protection authorities.

Acknowledge your written agreements and ship the correct unit.

Just get another brand

Just get another brand

Product worked okay for a while, then suddenly was not able to charge. The support interaction has been one long list of disappointments and delay tactics. We are approaching the two month mark. At this point I’ve lost most of this mowing season and Mammotion is suggesting to replace my robot with another model that would be a downgrade in all categories.

worked ok in the beginning

worked ok in the beginning, but now its sometimes not mowing the entire lawn. when i set stripes in the app it doesnt respond to it. after an update the three point turn vanished, on of the reasons i bought this mower.
Support is lousy, i always have to wait to speak to anyone, you have to wait so long i havent managed to speak to anyone. I only have it for a few months now.
Battery seems to have issues as well, in the beginning when it was full it went on standby, now the battery just drains, even when the robot is not in use. I could just have bought a 300 dollar mower instead of this thing, when there is a leaf on the lawn the ai avoids it, even when its set to the least sensitive setting

My Yuka mini is unusable after firmware upgrade

My Yuka mini has always been erratic in its performance and needed regular restarts to complete a mow of the lawn, but a recent update makes the mower completely unusable. Will not run for more than a few minutes before some safety emergency stop cuts in. This is my third robotic lawnmower and the worst by a distance. Will never but a Mammotion product again.

LUBA 2 AWD: Excellent mowing performance – but disappointing support when something goes wrong

LUBA 2 AWD: Excellent mowing performance – but disappointing support when something goes wrong

I have owned my Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD for approximately one year. When it works, the mowing result is excellent – genuinely one of the best robotic mowers I have used or seen.

Unfortunately, my current experience demonstrates why mowing quality is only one part of owning a premium robotic mower.

My LUBA has suffered a complete failure and no longer reaches a stable operating state. With the security key inserted, it enters an endless startup sequence, Bluetooth disappears and the mower becomes unreachable. Without the security key and on the charging station, Bluetooth can become available again and I can access my maps and settings, but the mower still never reaches a stable operating or charging state.

I have now spent considerable time troubleshooting this with Mammotion:

• diagnostic logs uploaded
• numerous photos and videos provided
• multiple power cycles and reset procedures
• original and spare security keys tested
• Vision Module disconnected/reconnected
• extensive troubleshooting with Mammotion Live Support
• complete video documentation of the reproducible failure

The frustrating part is not that Mammotion wants to diagnose the problem. That is perfectly reasonable.

The problem is the support process.

I have generally responded within 1–3 hours and performed requested troubleshooting immediately. Mammotion's responses have typically taken approximately 24 hours. Several times I have then been asked for information, observations or videos that I had already provided.

Instead of progressively moving toward a diagnosis and solution, it feels as though each response starts another troubleshooting cycle.

Despite all the information, logs and video evidence provided, I still have no concrete resolution or realistic timeline. I was told that an advance replacement is "currently" not possible, but no reason or practical alternative was provided.

This raises a broader question about Total Cost of Ownership.

A LUBA represents an investment of approximately €3,000. A robotic mower is also a seasonal product – in my region it is effectively used for only about six months each year. Several weeks of downtime can therefore represent a substantial percentage of an entire year's useful operation.

There is also considerable time invested in mapping a property, creating zones, defining no-go areas and optimizing everything.

Then comes the long-term question.

Mammotion provides a limited standard warranty with only a relatively short optional paid warranty extension. Once that protection ends, customers inevitably have to consider the economics of major repairs: replacement parts, troubleshooting, packaging, shipping, repair time and ultimately whether repairing an older mower still makes financial sense.

At approximately €3,000, this matters.

The real comparison is not simply LUBA versus another robotic mower. It is also against a high-quality conventional mower that may provide many years of service, or paying a professional gardener. If reliability issues or extended downtime become significant, the original business case changes considerably.

I genuinely like the LUBA and its mowing performance. That is why this experience is particularly disappointing.

A premium product is defined not only by excellent hardware, but by the complete ownership experience: software stability, reliability, repairability and responsive after-sales support.

Based on the mowing performance alone, my rating would be much higher. Based on my complete ownership and current support experience, I can currently only give 2 stars.

I will update this review – including the rating – depending on how Mammotion ultimately resolves the case.

Had Mammotion mini 500 for 12months.

Had Mammotion mini 500 for 12months.
It does NOT do what makers claim - in fact it is dangerous, obstacle avoidance simply does not work. Can take 2hrs + to cut my lawn or it can take up to 13hrs ! Not trusting wi fi perimeters I place 75mm x 75mm timber ( fencing posts )around lawn edges, the mower has actually climbed over this edging ! every time it is used it tries to push timbers out of way.
Very disappointed overall, the only good thing,it does eventually cut most of the lawn- which saves work, but have had to buy small cordless mower to cut edges etc.
As I say, it does NOT do what it says on the box.
I,m sure there are better makes of robot mowers available that live up to manufacturers claims- unfortunately the Mammotion Mini does not.

Spino E1 Broke after 5 uses bad warranty service

Broke after 5 uses, dead in the water, very bad slow exchange warranty process.
The fact that no replacement is sent, you need to return with the same box, I wasted 2 weeks demonstrating the issues, uploading photos, data, etc, still no shipping label received, plus shipping time, them checking it, then waiting for them to ship it, wasting at least month of a very short time summer window.
I understand things break, but the hassle to get the warranty applied made me cancel my downpayment for the new spinio with the robotic arm, and I was considering a lawn mower, no more after this experience. I don't expect them allowing this review in their site, I'll make sure to leave it in other sites, upset and frustrated.
