Plusnet disadvantages loyal customers

This is what Plusnet is offering me as a renewal as a long-time customer:

Full Fibre 145 24 months

£26.99 but increase to £30.99 on 31/3/26 and increase again to £34.99 on 31/3/27

Apart from disadvantaging loyal customers by charging them excessively more than a new customer (see below), their annual increases (of which the first is only 5 months away) are unprecedented and immoral.

Why should I renew given the below offers (one being their own)?

Virgin M125 £21.99 rising to £28.99 PLUS a £135 CREDIT
Plusnet Full Fibre 145 (same as above) £22.95 rising to £32.99 PLUS £145 reward credits

Could do better

The final engineer was lovely and knew his stuff, but there’s absolutely no excuse for An 88-year-old with dementia being without broadband for 28 days. BT Openreach messed up big time on this one.

Their gold house insurance is a great product

Their gold house insurance is a great product. Real compares well with others. Very good value. I had questions and they took my call and came back to me 2 days later to answer my complex question. Very good.
Only minor issue is 50% their emails have the John Lewis logo in =high res and it takes up the whole email when viewed in Outlook on a PC. They need to resize their logos

Will take regular payments forever

Good bikes in Florence but not cheap. BE AWARE they charge you even when you have left the country. I have had to dispute a regular payment on my card that they have set up. Going by other reviews the random and regular payments is a thing. So in short avoid them as their business model includes thievery.

3 days! My hat.

They make a big deal around settling 95% of claims in 3 days. They haven’t. Other than an automated response, I have heard nothing further, despite me chasing by email. I will update this review with further experiences as and when.

Ok changing from 1 star to 4 because they have now paid out in full.
Not 5 stars because I believe they only dealt with me quickly because of this 1 star review - which is shame.

Positives and negatives

Positives: decent content, nice to be part of a community, incentive to exercise is certainly increased. I’m feeling satisfied and fitter.
Negatives: although decently constructed the bike is just a freestanding spinning machine with a screen bolted on and doesn’t justify the price. Likewise the £50 per month you pay for content seems particularly steep even though you can share it’s amongst your household. Delivery was a nightmare as they kept changing the dates and I don’t think customer service really gave a toss.
Overall if you’re wealthy and have money to spare then this provides the incentive for you to exercise. If you’re not wealthy then spend your money more wisely. I would equate owning one of these with owning a sports car. Nice if you can afford it.

Double or triple the price it should be

I bought mine 18 months ago. Having bought a number of Mattresses in the last 3 years I must say that these expensive "special" mattresses, often advertised in podcasts and on the tube, are really nothing special. They (including Simba) are actually not hard-wearing and will often start to sag before traditional or other brand name products. These mattresses are double or triple the price they should be. It is clever marketing. They are expensive so must be good. Don't get me wrong, they are fine, but not worth what they charge. Do yourself a favour and do some research and save your money.

BEWARE!

Good when ordering but the seat prices are really expensive and it is not obvious they are optional. ...later: Customer service after the pandemic is non-existent. They don't want to hear from you at all if you are seeking a refund. When you dispute the charge with your credit card company they fight back and try to keep it. Absolute dishonest thieves.
