Felt like a scam
Took an insurance for my train ticket. My flight was delayed so I missed my train. Turns out insurance doesn't cover it. Go figure! You're also never connected to a real person to discuss so you have to fill in arbitrary forms and hope for the best when you claim. It's a scam, I wouldn't do it again.

If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would.
This is genuinely the first time in my life that I have felt the need to write a negative review, but XCover absolutely deserves to be called out.
I purchased insurance specifically to protect myself in case something unexpected prevented me from attending an event. Unfortunately, I became seriously ill, to the point where attending was physically impossible. I did everything I was supposed to do, submitted my claim, and provided the necessary information.
And what did I get in return? A rejection based on a technicality about dates.
Apparently, according to XCover, my illness occurred outside the coverage period, despite the fact that I had already been sick before it ended. It is absolutely ridiculous.
What exactly is the point of paying for insurance if, when you genuinely need it, the company looks for reasons not to pay?
I was extremely sick, dealing with an already miserable situation, and instead of receiving the protection I had paid for, I was met with excuses and a rejected claim.
The entire experience feels like a scam. They are happy to take your money, but when it comes to actually providing the protection you purchased, good luck.
I rarely complain publicly, but this experience has been so disgraceful that I genuinely want to warn others.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON XCOVER. Read every single detail before purchasing, because when you actually need their help, you might discover just how worthless that protection can be.
Absolutely shameful. Never again.
