Review of Elavate
6 weeks after first contacting the Elavate 'TEAM' about difficulties with my first-ever order of three packets of unflavoured collagen and an additional promotional order of three packets of unflavoured collagen, I still have not managed to get anybody at Elavate to go beyond a pile of empty promises. Instead of three unflavoured packets, I got 1 unflavoured, 1 chocolate flavoured, 1 vanilla flavoured. (Oh, I'm forgetting. I also got a bottle of multi-vitamin gummies, a whisk, a cute-as-a-dimple tin to store my collagen in, three samples, a number of beautifully-produced pamphlets. The only problem with all of this largesse is that I did not ask for it. I only wanted the unflavioured collagen.) All of this arrived in a sturdy, quality branded box. I paid a total of nearly £150 for the pleasure. The additional order of 3 extra packets of unflavoured collagen (cost: £67+) was not in the box. Despite original assurances that it was on its way, it has never arrived. As for the two packets of flavoured collagen that I got, 'Katie' attributed the mix-up to the long Easter weekend (No comment!) and assured me she had couriered replacements to me that would arrive on 6th April. That same courier would collect the packets I did not want. I stayed in all day waiting, despite it being almost the first fine day of the year! No courier turned up. When I wrote to ask why the courier had not turned up and when I could expect him/her, more profuse apologies but no direct response to my questions. Instead, she sent me a digital label which I could use to return the unwanted packets and - thank heavens - the post office would handle the rest. Another email pointing out that this clarified how I should part with the flavoured packets I did not want but did nothing to tell me when the lost courier would turn up with the (pretty expensive) replacements - not to mention the additional order that just never arrived. Around 18th April, Katie had the audacity to send me a photograph of the original delivery saying 'Great news! You've received your additional order.' I responded immediately pointing out the delivery date and my husband's legs at the doorway receiving the just one box, packed with goodies - not two! I decided that I did not want Katie to deal with my case anymore and wrote another email narrating the litany and requesting senior management take up my case and resolve it. Another full-voiced apology from the senior manager who would ensure that my case was satisfactorily resolved forthwith. Lo and behold: another email from Katie - informng me that as head of sales, she has been instructed to deal with my case. Remarkably, the email went on to say that she wanted to resolve my issue without delay and to do that she wanted me to share with her the details of the original order! I was speechless especially because every step in the time-consuming case was clearly documented in the continuing email string. Was she unable to see her own emails to me and my replies? She herself had written to me around 10th April to say that the second package had somehow gone missing so she'd need to set up a replacement. To do that, she jst needed me to confirm the details of the order...That's when I realised how long I had been corresponding with an AI generator - which, of course, has no memory! The various entities in the 'company' are still taking about a week to respond to each of my numerous emails and the reply is always the same: Oh, goodness! We're soooo sorry! We'll do everything to put this right. So that we don't waste any more time, just tell us what exactly the additional order was and when you placed it. We'll arrange a dispatch that will be with you within 48 hours. Sound like wonderful service? It's not. When you get the same response from the bot, the next week from Alex (who seems to be the woman who sent the very professional video on the huge benefits awaiting me), then from Katie (who seems to be in sales), then from Alex (who responded when I demanded that my case be referred to the senior managment level) only to be referred back to KATIE (who miraculously had NO recall of the previous four or five emails I had sent her!) and finally from Alex (who is a 'he' and is the owner of the company), you start to realise a few things. 'They' think that I will just go away quietly; or 'they' are actually one man and an AI account that generates responses. Six weeks after this treatment, I feel that this is a deliberate attempt not to address my concerns in other words to perpetrate a swindle. In other words, this is not a reputable company. This is a breach of the most basic contract that exists between company and consumer: money paid in full will be compensated with the receipt of goods to the value agreed between the parts. Do not be taken in the way I have been!

WoB are usually very fast to respond. On despatch, books are always double-wrapped for greater protection.
However, one of the books I received in the last consignment was heavily marked up in pen by a Portuguese-speaking adult who had translated large portions of the text in untidy handwriting. In my opinion, this should not have been made available for resale and I certainly did not hive it to my grand-daughter! After all, one of the reasons for physical books is for children to realise that they are not doodle pads!

Review of Octopus Energy
A man with a very nice, calm voice answered and immediately put me at ease. I was not going to have to wage a battle. No putting me on hold with that irritating musak gnawing away at me! The entire process took less than five minutes, including reassurances and offers of follow-up. Excellent, efficient, considerate service. Thank you very much.
Review of National Express
Arrived at departure bang on time. Left bang on time. Had a nice word to say to everybody. Arrived at the destination 5 minutes before expected. He drive so carefully and smoothly that I could have balanced a glass of water on my lap the whole way. All this for less than a third of the price and none of the discomfort, abruptness and cancellations of the railways!

Review of LloydsPharmacy
I ordered masks around 20th November because I was going away on 5th December. When there was no sign of them arriving, I emailed. I got an empty reply about large volumes of orders leading to delays..(Why wasn't I advised of this at the point of sale?) I tried to call. Just one of the times, I was on the line for 1 hour 40 minutes only to be kindly cut off without getting to speak to anyone.
I ended up leaving without the masks. They were despatched 4 days later....that is nearly 20 days after I placed the order. How do I rate the service I received? - Bad to atrociously bad.

Review of The Independent Pharmacy
Professional, concerned enough to check answers to pre-sale survey of symptoms. Despatch was rapid. The medication came quickly in an unmarked but very sturdy package. Independent Pharma maintained communication at every step of the process. I would have no qualms recommending them to others. Excellent service. Thank you.

Great service. Got a text message reminding me before the day...I'd forgotten! On the day, got a call telling me it would be that day and that someone from the team would get in touch closer to the time. 30 minutes before, the guys called and introduced themselves. Two friendly people arrived with a great big drier, made a joke about the weight, then had to carry it into the house because if all the clutter. Brought it in, laughing. Great service. Friendly, helpful, courteous people. Thanks to them all.

Review of SerenataFlowers.com
Somebody from Serenata wrote offering me a 10% discount if i followed through on the purchase of flowers for my mother's birthday (17th May). However, I was unable to enter it anywhere on the billing page. I wrote an email to Serenata asking them to solve this problem but I never heard back from anyone. In the end, I had to go ahead and place the purchase for fear that I owuldn't manage to get an order in intime. This was disappointing servce.
Otherwise, my mothe was thrilled with the flowers and the personalised touches to the delivery.
