This is based on my recent service visit from a Miele technician. He was able to instantly diagnose and fix a complicated problem with my washing machine, which is something that only comes from years of knowledge. There really is no substitute for this.

Overall, a good experience and a very quick sale on my car, for a decent price. For those who don't know the process, once you list your car, they call you to agree a price. This was the part of the process I liked the least, as the agent was trying to get me to list it for much less than I wanted, and told me I should really consider the lower price if I wanted to sell it. I held out and said I'd only list at the price I actually wanted, and eventually he agreed, and the next day, I had several offers from dealers, all for higher than the price I listed at (dealers outbidding one another by £50). Don't get pressured into listing for a lower price than you want (assuming it's realistic), and don't take the first offer that comes in. As soon as the first offer came in, carwow called me to try and get me to accept it, but I held out, and the next day had offers of £700 more than the opening one. I appreciate they're trying to get a quick sale, but a bit less pressure would be nice.

I'd like to emphasise that the agents were always polite, and the overall experience was very positive. The car was collected promptly by the dealer I sold to, and the cash in my account before they drove away. Definitely don't overlook carwow when selling your car - it's extremely convenient, you get a fair price, and saves dealing with tyre kickers; just stand your ground and insist on them listing it for the price you want - you're always in control.

Wow - absolutely top class service. One of the few places that had any stock available at all, and followed up with a very quick delivery, undertaken directly by Appliance City themselves. The delivery driver was very friendly, helpful, and respectful, and it was great to be able to call him directly on the day (his mobile number was sent to me the day before so I could call him on the day). Will definitely order again in future.

I think it's fair to say that Hermes used to be a bit of a joke when it came to deliveries, but they seem to have really turned a corner in the past few years, and I've always been impressed with the speed and efficiency of the service, as well as the low cost. Most of their big name competitors don't come close on cost or service. Our local Hermes courier is very friendly and really goes the extra mile to help. When sending parcels, the label printing service is very useful, and the fact that they tend to be located in corner shops with late opening hours is a real bonus. The pricing for extra insurance is reasonable and very transparent, and gives extra peace of mind when selling on eBay. Start offering reasonably-priced letter postage too, and I think your big red competitor would soon go out of business. Where they've failed miserably during lockdown, Hermes has shone through.

I recently went to convert my cot bed from cot to bed and found I had misplaced the parts required to do so. I was pleasantly surprised when Tutti Bambini contacted me to say they had the parts and would send them out FOC the next day. Brilliant customer service, and great products. Revive technicians are always excellent and do repairs to a very high standard. Their admin/back office team are also very efficient, and I really can't fault any aspect of their service. Shout out to Lewis for a great repair, and Luke for great service on my past repairs.

Our Vitamix machine is just getting on for 5 years old, and in that time, we've used it most days at least twice a day. It really is the most versatile kitchen gadget out there, and we make everything from nut butter to soup to banana "nice" cream in it, and much more. The best part about it, however, is what must be the most comprehensive warranty on the market; due to the amount we use our machine, the containers have developed leaks a couple of times due to perishing rubber seals and bearings wearing out, and 5 years later, Vitamix is still giving us no-quibble replacements. Almost nothing comes with such a long warranty, and if it does, there are usually many strings attached. By contrast, Vitamix's warranty basically covers everything, including both workmanship and wear and tear, which you really can't argue with. Hands-down, the best investment I've made in the kitchen. It could only be improved if they developed a food processor attachment so I could get rid of my food processor - I'd buy that in an instant!
