Downhill service
As a user for many years, the service is going down hill and the customer service is awful. My card and account got blocked for an unknown reason and I sent them multiple emails which were unanswered for 2.5months! It took them 2.5 months to reactivate my account. Absolutely awful service.
About the product itself, it was a good concept but they now charge for all the perks which differentiated them. Fee free withdrawals, goback in time, no exchange rates, etc.
I would no longer recommend them.
Gone massively downhill
Used to be such a fantastic product. Unfortunately that’s not the case anymore. If you need to contact Customer Services then things really go downhill
Excellent system
Excellent system. Works well with our Askari key fobs.
Most pathetic chat service and team in…
Most pathetic chat service and team in tech I have ever noticed!
My card has been blocked or turned off for more that 2 weeks, I raised this issue a number of times and all they did is redirect. Seems like they are unable to handle issues and they just continue to pass work until it's in a large pile of tech debt.
It's a huge disappointment that curve card has become into this. I was one of the first ever customer, it seems this might be the downfall for Curve card. :(
Sad to see a great implementation degrade so bad due to it's customer service and handling process.
Terrible company to avoid
Terrible company to avoid. Failed to notify me of significantly material changes to the terms and conditions of the card. When challenged, they reactively close the account.
I have emailed them several times as I have transactions that needed to be disputed, but they have ignored all emails.
They also advised me they would investigate my original complaint months ago, but failed to provide an update.
Four months suspended with no meaningful explanation or resolution
I have been a Curve customer for some time and have now had my Curve card suspended for approximately four months. It is still suspended today.
I have repeatedly contacted Curve to find out what is happening and to get the issue resolved. Despite this, I have received essentially the same response each time: an apology, confirmation that the matter has been "escalated" to a specialist team, and then no meaningful update or resolution.
Curve itself has admitted that the situation is "not normal" and is "outside of the SLA by quite the margin". It also told me that its first-line support team has no control over the situation and can only continue raising the issue and leaving notes on my account.
I have asked whether I could speak to the escalation team or simply have another card issued so I could continue using my account. I was told that I cannot speak to the team and that another card cannot be issued while my account is blocked.
There is a further issue with refunds. Because of how Curve works as an intermediary between the merchant and the underlying payment card, some merchant refunds can end up in Curve Cash rather than going directly back to the underlying card. I currently have money sitting in Curve Cash that I cannot access because my account is blocked. Curve has explicitly confirmed that these refunds cannot be moved while the block remains.
I also use Curve for foreign transactions. As a result of the suspension, I have had to use alternative cards and have incurred foreign exchange fees that I would otherwise have avoided.
What I find particularly unacceptable is the handling of the problem. I have repeatedly chased Curve over several months, but the response has essentially been "we've escalated it" without any substantive progress. Conversations have also been closed despite the underlying issue remaining unresolved.
I have now reported the matter to the Financial Ombudsman.
I understand that financial businesses may sometimes need to restrict an account. My complaint is about the fact that the restriction has remained unresolved for approximately four months, with no meaningful explanation, no effective escalation route, no alternative card, and no practical mechanism for resolving the associated issues.
Curve may have a good product when it works, but based on my experience, I would not currently trust it as a primary payment card, particularly when travelling.
If I could give no stars for this…
If I could give no stars for this company I would.
They have been taking out money from my bank account for 10 months unauthorised.
I have never used this company and advise you to reconsider if you have dealings with this company.
Lloyd's as owners of Curve should be ashamed of themselves
Same as others, unblocking process takes weeks with no apparent customer service team in place. So much for being on the paid Pro plan. Lloyd's should be ashamed of themselves - it says little for them as a bank.
Great App better than Google
I really enjoy using Curve. How it informs you how much you've spent and you need your finger print each time before use, I highly recommended Curve 👌🏼💯
Don’t use them
They’re terrible don’t use them customer support is a joke
Even a 2.3 score is far too generous for this absolute failure of a service
Seeing Curve sitting at a 2.3 "Poor" rating on Trustpilot makes complete sense, though honestly, even that score is far too flattering for the level of incompetence they demonstrate.
Their customer support explicitly instructed me in writing to delete my previous account profile and start completely fresh with a new application. I followed their guidance to the letter, only to have my new registration immediately blocked by their automated KYC system on day one.
When I asked for a basic human review, I was ignored for days. I was forced to file a formal complaint (Ref: FC-11119), only to receive a boilerplate rejection letter stating they "stand by their automated decision" without providing a shred of explanation or taking responsibility for their own support team's flawed instructions.
To top it all off, when I demanded full erasure of my personal data under GDPR, they refused, hiding behind 10-year AML retention rules for an account that was never even active or used for a single transaction.
Formal complaints have now been submitted directly to the supervisory authorities (State Data Protection Inspectorate - VDAI and the Bank of Lithuania). Misleading support, rigid bots, zero accountability, and complete disregard for users. Stay far away.
Curve is a good idea – but the service surrounding the product is inadequate.
Curve is a good idea – but the service surrounding the product is inadequate.
My Curve card was suspended without Curve informing me at any point that this had happened. I find that very difficult to understand.
I fully appreciate that Curve monitors card usage and takes action if its systems identify something that could indicate misuse. In fact, I find that reassuring. But when Curve has established communication channels both by email and directly through the app, it seems completely unreasonable to suspend a payment card without informing the customer at the same time.
I only discovered the problem myself when the card stopped working.
When I contacted Curve, the initial response was simply that they were experiencing high volumes and that it might take longer than expected to deal with the matter. In the meantime, my card does not work and scheduled automatic payments have been declined.
I pay for Curve’s highest-tier Premium product and I therefore expect to be taken seriously when such a fundamental part of the service is suddenly suspended.
I have asked Curve for a clear and specific explanation as to why my card was suspended. As far as I can see, I have used the card entirely within Curve’s terms and guidelines in every respect.
I have also asked them to explain why I was not informed of the suspension when it happened.
The question now is whether Curve will actually provide a proper and substantive response.
In my view, Curve is a good product and a good concept. But a payment service also depends on trust, communication and reliable customer support. In this case, the service has simply not been good enough.
⚠️ Think twice
I would give less if possible ⚠️ Think twice before signing up for Curve Pay.
I applied for Curve Pay and completed their identity verification, including submitting my ID and selfie/video verification. After providing all of this highly sensitive personal information, Curve rejected my application.
When I asked why I couldn’t be verified, Curve refused to explain what information had led to the decision and told me the decision was final.
I then requested that my personal data be deleted. Curve told me they intend to retain the data collected during their due-diligence process for up to 10 years, until 31 August 2036.
What concerns me most is that I provided sensitive identity information, including ID and selfie verification, without ultimately being allowed to open an account, and I am now being told that some of this information may remain on their systems for a decade.
I cannot say that Curve is “stealing” personal data, because I don’t have evidence of that. But based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that people understand exactly what personal information Curve collects, who it is shared with, why it is retained, and for how long before signing up.
For me, the combination of an unexplained rejection and the retention of sensitive personal information for 10 years is a major privacy concern.
Do your research before handing over your ID and biometric/selfie information to Curve.
I used to love curve
I used to love curve. I've always paid for the top tier card and have always been very happy.
Sadly over time, price started creeping up, amex never happened, benefits started shrinking and customer service (which is supposed to be special for premium customers( started getting worse and worse. Now, even with AI has become an absolute joke.
I decided to write a review now as last week I contacted customer service who erroneously assumed I was asking for a replacement card, cancel my card and issued another. After a week, I still haven't received it and even my virtual card has been blocked. Customer service is now unresponsive and the chat box ai hasn't been trained properly. Terrible service. Unlikely to continue to pay for a poor service. I will look elsewhere for better services.
Using Curve/Google Pay on Mobile
Has an older person being able to pay for goods and services needs to be hassle free, quick, and without drama.
I find using Curve/Google Pay app on my mobile so easy and at point of sale if its a slightly larger amount going contactless may mean supermarkets rejecting the transaction and having to manually put your card in the reader. With Curve/Google Pay theres no issue with this the transaction is fluid quick and easy and the receipt and recorded transaction is always logged.
I'm happy and impressed with this and will pay this way from now on.
Great piece of kit and so easy to use
Great piece of kit and so easy to use
Bad experience and no willingness for good costumer support
Good day,
sadly very poor service and no chance of solving Problems. I wanted to connect with the CurveApp for the Pagopace-Ring but something ( I don't know what and nobody was able to tell me) went wrong. If someone wants to connect with it, please bring patience, calm energy and the ability to get disappointed.
Cheers
Jost
got blocked twice without any reason
got blocked twice without any reason. no feedback. just random messages filled with spammy default "rest assured..." nonsense.
first time i waited 2 months to get it sorted out. now again 1 month has almost passed with ZERO information on what actually is going on.
time to ditch.
1 month
1 month. Card suspended. No solution. I pay for a service I cannot use.
My Curve card has been suspended since 25 July 2026 — over a month — without any explanation. I have sent multiple emails, opened multiple chats (Jayneah, Iona, Kris, Alvin, Jeremiah, Sophie), and received nothing but copy-paste apologies and promises that "the team is working on it."
Your own agent admitted in chat that the relevant team "does not operate a live chat service" — meaning your front-line agents knew they couldn't help me, yet kept closing chats and promising email responses that never came.
I cannot use my card. I cannot replace it (app error: "Something's Gone Wrong"). I have £56.42 trapped on the card I cannot access. I lost cashback rewards for over a month, including during international travel. I pay 99.90 EUR annually for this.
A formal complaint has been submitted. If not resolved within 7 days, I will escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Great card!
Great card with many features that makes spending abroad a breeze! Highly recommend
