Customer service is non existent
Customer service is non existent. They blocked my card for no apparent reason and I've not managed to get any kind of response out of them for nearly a month. Clearly really poor processes in place and insufficient staff to deal with the number of issues they are experiencing.
Other reviews about the customer…
Other reviews about the customer service experience are true. I used to be able to sort everything out over chat but not the case any longer. Nobody responds to you for weeks. Totally unacceptable especially for a financial product. They might as well close down.
CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESN'T EXIST
I've been a "customer" for a few years. The SUPPORT DOES NOT EXIST. 3 months they have blocked my card on a security alert and can't get back to me despite 20 e-mails to them not 1 response. There is no phone number and paying for the top level card. Now filing a complaint to the FCA. I would not recommend in any way.
Gone down the pan !
Gone down the pan !
Been with them as a paying subscriber for years but now they are useless. No response or support from customer service. Just a waste of time.
Cancel your subscription as I think they’re about to go bust
The product (when it works) is great
The product (when it works), is great. I really like the benefit it offers. However, when it doesn’t work, it’s an awful product. The customer service is via chat and when you notify them of an issue, there are always high volume of issues. I’m currently 2 weeks without the use of my card, yet I pay for this service. I have been without my card for 2 weeks prior to that also.
It's very reliable and easy to use!

I tried to create an account using…
I tried to create an account using their app. I used my passport which was photographed and scanned by their app. Then I successfully recorded a video of myself, which the app accepted. I was then told they couldn't verify me, and to contact customer services. Their customer service replied with an arrogant and dismissive email reaffirming that they couldn't verify me and couldn't give further details. So I am making a Subject Access Request for those details. Their customer service really don't care, and are currently refusing my Subject Access Request, saying they have legal duties:
"We unfortunately cannot specify what information may have been used in our decision. This is to protect our internal security policies that are in line with our legal obligation to perform due diligence on our customers."
Customer support is a nightmare.
Customer support is a nightmare.
A few days ago, I tried to make a payment in a store for a couple thousand euro.
I bought a swimming pool, heating pump, filter, etc etc, quite a normal purchase if you ask me.
When I tried to pay the payment was rejected. When I checked it was even worse. Curve had completely blocked my credit card.
I tried to contact support through chat: no solution
I tried to contact support through email: no solution
I tried to contact complaint email: finally a reponse
Now I need to provide tons and tons of information about my finances, employer, savings, payslips, etc, simply to justify a normal purchase.
I'm really not OK with this, and it seems they are never satisfied with the answer.
I have decided to quit using curve, it's a shame, because I really liked the product.
But they clearly have no clue on how to treat a customer.
Be warned!
Have used Curve literally since they…
Have used Curve literally since they launched, and over the years have seen prices go up (fair enough) while the limits have been reduced over and over (not so good...)
Customer service have always taken a while to respond, but currently I'm in the situation like so many others where:
My card has been blocked for weeks with zero explanation as to why
Support ticket has been "passed to the department that deal with it" and basically blackholed - not even a reply when I chase
Raising a formal complaint doesn't even get the "within 3 working days" acknowledgement, so who knows if they're even monitoring that mailbox anymore
The timing with the acquisition by Lloyds Bank feels more than coincidental
If you read up on the PR, Lloyds are super excited about acquiring the underlying technology but it seems that they couldn't care less about the actual product and yearslong loyal customers
Shame, because this actually was one of those rare British fintech success stories once upon a time
You are not able to upload photo 1st time? YOUR BAD!
I had an incredibly frustrating experience trying to set up Curve. Here is why you should think twice before signing up:
Onboarding Glitch: I missed the window to upload my photo during registration, and the app completely blocked me from trying again.
Abysmal Support: It took customer service two months to reply, only to falsely claim I used the wrong email address (which is completely untrue).
No Resolution: Despite escalating the issue twice more, I have received nothing but excuses.
An absolutely shocking lack of professional service. Avoid.
As service I love it but when u need support, things change fast
As service I love it. I use it daily for years (possibly over 5). But when you need support is from Ok at best to quite bad. After years of using it, they blocked my card for no known to me reason, I tried to have my card unblocked but so far nothing. I can't contact a real person. Card blocked on Thursday or Friday, it still is Wednesday and no-person has responded. Thankfully I could use other cards, but that's not always the case
Curve is so simple to use and generally works anywhere
Curve is so simple to use and generally works almost anywhere: from the supermarket to the cafe, from the train station to the antique shop. Online I often have to key in my digital card details because the payment system hasn't caught up with the fact that google isn't the only payment system, but hey ho! I wouldn't be without it on my mobile.
Dishonouring lifetime memberships
Appalling experience. As an early adopter (and payer) for Curve Black they have withdrawn my access without my permission or notifying me, and refuse to re-instate it because "their systems don't allow it".
I am currently going through the Financial Ombudsman to fight them.
I also have several Lloyds accounts and will be closing those should the Ombudsman not go my way as I now hold Lloyds jointly responsible since they acquired Curve. Lloyds I hope you are listening and going to put a review on Lloyds trust pilot... you should be more careful what you acquire.
Curve, I know you are struggling to make money from your product but shutting down early adopters who helped your very existence in the first place is absolutely shocking behaviour. Your sarcastic support emails do nothing but add insult to injury.
I will fight you tooth and nail on principle and make lots of noise about your behaviour. In these days of social media exposure you should ask yourself is it really worth pi$$ing off the very people who supported you when you started. That looks great doesn't it? Well done.. have 1 star, and it would be zero if I could.
Useless support and account blocked
Account blocked! Setup a Curve Pay Pro account at £10 per month to make use of its benefits. After linking my credit card and attempting to pay a bill my card was declined. Support were useless:
1st chat: agent sent copied and pasted replies which were irrelevant,
2nd chat: told me to try paying again which resulted in my account being blocked.
That was 5 days ago and my account is still blocked.
On both occasions when contacting support they ended the chat without dealing with the issue. Customer support clearly don't have a clue what's going on. I shall be ending my subscription and closing my account.
Abysmal Customer Service
The Curve product itself is excellent, providing a seamless way to use my cards outside the UK. However, the customer service is abysmal. My card was blocked for no apparent reason, a month ago and despite my attempts to reach out, I have received zero response.
Kyc failed and literally no Support
Kyc failed and literally no Support. They are Not able to solve this tiny problem
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I have been with Curve since it was founded. Recently they are asking for all sorts of financial documents to verify my identity apparently. No other financial institution has ever asked for my bank statements.
Customer services have been sh1t, taking so long to reply and not ready email chains. So dissapointing from what is a pretty good tool
Like others on here I’ve experienced…
Like others on here I’ve experienced blocked cards, poor customer service and been paying for a subscription that I couldn’t use. I ended up making a complaint to the financial ombudsman which was upheld in my favour. I really like the concept so I was hoping that the acquisition by Lloyds had made a difference as I wanted to give them another try. Based on the feedback here it seems not.

Blocked, Ignored, Still Charged — Curve Is a Joke
Curve blocked my card out of nowhere and then vanished like customer support was optional. No explanation, no timeline, no actual help — just a dead account and a monthly Premium charge they’re still happily taking.
I had to file a formal complaint (FC‑10979) just to get them to acknowledge me.
Imagine paying for a service you literally can’t use while Curve shrugs in the background.
This isn’t “fintech innovation.” It’s incompetence dressed as a subscription.
Avoid. Seriously.
