The delivery driver was polite and courteous and the fire surround surpassed our expectations when it arrived. The driver went through the fitting instructions which were much simpler than we had expected and now we are delighted with how it looks around our fireplace. Booked service for morning visit. At midmorning received a call to say engineer delayed and would be calling now in the afternoon. I explained that I was going out at 3, so if it was after 2 to cancel. Informed it would be at 1.30. As I was leaving home at 3 o'clock, the engineer arrived who knew nothing of my situation and was embarrassed. To date I have received no further communication from British Gas. The same thing happened when I took a day off to have a snart meter fitted.
