Ice cold food. An hour late on delivery time. Thought I would try again after five years, and it is still as terrible as it was the first time. Never again

While most orders are on time and correct, there is a serious upcharge on items. Ordered take out yesterday for $52. If I had ordered directly thru the restaurant, even with delivery fee, it would hace $8 cheaper. I only used GrubHub because it's included in my Prime subscription. Won't do that again.

I am yet to have a food order delivered on time, there is always a delay and since I live n an apartment complex, the GPS on the app always sends the drivers to a neighboring building and never the correct one resulting in calls from the drivers because they can’t seem to figure out how to find an apartment even though I have put step by step directions in the delivery notes. Then it is a fight to get a refund n a misdelivered order. Horrible customer service and delivery service. Don’t waste your time.

I wish that I had read the reviews before I ordered with them.i totally understand why they have a 1.8 star rating. We placed our order for Taco Bell at 5:44 pm and we received it at 7:10pm. We waited over any hour And 20 minutes for our food, for fast food.So we complained not only for the wait but for the fact that all the food was cold. We were not able too talk to a human being they use AI. So they offered us $5 , then $7 and finally $10. We have no plans on ever using them ever again. We wanted to have a refund but that wasn’t possible since they want us to use them again. Fat chance at that. so we have to caulk it up to a $28 lesson

I ordered $50 worth of food the delivery driver picked up my order drove a 18 mi past where I was located to deliver food for another company and then had to drive 18 miles back to me by the time I got here 30 minutes late my food was ice cold and inedible I had to throw it all away cuz it was too gross to even eat I complained to GrubHub and the only thing they would do is give me a $10 credit for their driver ruining $50 worth of food I would suggest nobody use GrubHub anymore they need to be put out of business

If you are in the uptown Charlotte area hospitals DO NOT order from grubhub! They will not bring it to your room. They sit it down in an open area at the front entrance KNOWING patients can't leave their levels to go get it! And tell me how a $5 coffee goes up to almost $16. Ill tell you. Hidden non communicated fees and tips held I didn't approve!!!! I had a big tip sitting here waiting for you that youll have to settle fir your measly 2.50 tip for! I will Never order from grubhub again!

I should have read reviews first. When my order window for Subway was moved back an hour, I tried to cancel. It would arrive too late for my lunch break. Customer service said no because the merchant was already making my food. For an hour later delivery?! Soggy bread aside, I am not trying to get sick off of food allowed to idle for 60 minutes. They offered me a $5 credit! Don't let Amazon convince you it's a more affordable option. It's awful.

Somehow this company steals $9.99 from people when they don't sign up for a Plus membership. There is NO WAY I signed up for it. I asked for a refund and I was on chat 2 mornings in row and I got the same promise for refund when it is obvious they are stealing from me.
They probably do this to alot of people when sales are low, I find it very unethical, They said they sent me a email confirmation that was NEVER received.

I ordered a hamburger for my mom who is handicapped and the driver didn’t even bring the food to her door, she left it outside the front gate which was open and her food sat outside for hours

This is the most terrible service I’ve ever had from a delivery company

This is the second time the driver left my sandwich outside my office when the directions clearly stated to leave with reception in lobby. It had mayonnaise and was outside for an hour in 90º heat. When I called to complain, all I wanted was reimbursment for the $16.00 sandwich, they offered me a $5 credit? Really, $5 for not getting a lunch that day or test my luck with food poisoning? This happened once before with no resolution and multiple times I've complained about drivers leaving my food at wrong locations no matter how many times I've listed where to leave my food.Don't use them...I'm begging you!

order sometime before 11.30amthough by 12.15 pm they said on their way and my computor showed he was not far. Suddenly he changed the time of arrival twice and headed all the way up to e 90th st canarsie that was no where near me. then after some more time computor said it was delivered which was not.. This is not the first time this happened

They just be talkin people money mf don’t even get they food the worst app I ever had I don’t recommend go to DoorDash or Uber eats they’re better

I placed an order that took over an hour had to fight to be given a credit to re order just to have to wait another two hours at that point i was almost three hours in and they wanted to give me a $7 credit a refused to just refund my money. I ordered food starting at 9:30pl and my food reached to me by midnight and it wast from a restaurant it was a fast food chain . The constant disrespect with the $5,$7 credit needs to stop and just give people back the money they spent . Waiting three hours for cold food and no type of REAL resolution is crazy . Times are hard i don’t have time for you to think about refunding my money when no food was delivered at an appropriate time and customer service supervisor instead of hearing my frustrations took it PERSONAL and ended my chat

A disgrace whats happened to Grubhub and I'm finally moving on. Paying $30 for a sandwich because of all these newer and higher fees on top of already higher priced menu items to begin with. They should be ashamed.

I've ordered from Grubhub several times through Amazon Prime because it's cheaper. But, I'm done. Food is delivered late and cold. One time I placed an order and about an hour later they text me that they didn't have a driver, by then it was to late to order from a different delivery company.

I’d give 0 stars but it’s not an option. Ordered $60 worth of pizza from a local pizza place at 1215pm, order kept getting backed up more and more until 2pm. At 215pm I had to cancel the order because the driver hadn't even picked up the food yet.

Then went rounds with the AI customer service on giving me $5,$7, and $10 credit…. How about it took you over two hours and the driver hasn’t even picked up the food…. Just give me my money back ffs.

Will never use GrubHub again.

I have ordered with Grubhub four times because I recently found out it's an Amazon Prime "perk." We've used food delivery services very rarely in the past. Every time I have ordered with Grubhub, there is an issue and it is NOT with the restaurant. One driver said he picked up too many orders and brought ours TWO HOURS after the delivery window. We had already eaten and cancelled.
THREE other times, Grubhub simply cancelled the order for no reason, and the refund took a long time. Finally today, after confirming our order, the restaurant called me directly - they were the ones who notified me that the order was cancelled since we are regulars, not Grubhub.
I fully understand this service is a luxury, but don't charge fees and taxes for services that you can't provide. NEVER using Grubhub again, even if it is "free." It's too much of a hassle.

Horrible experiences. One after the other. They let drivers accept orders when they are 40 minutes away from the restaurant. Food was ready and it took him 30 mins after that to get there. Delivery took an hour and a half. Food was cold. They offered me a $5 coupon.

My food sat at the restaurant as GrubHub continued to lie and say that the order was being made by the restaurant until I called the restaurant and verified that had been completed 45 minutes earlier. I had to fight for 20 minutes with English as a second language support while they continue to try to offer me five dollars and $10 as my raw fish sat on the counter for an hour and they wanted me to continue to wait for it to be delivered with absolutely no one assigned for the delivery. No common sense, no courtesy and getting anything escalated was fought repeatedly until finally I reached someone who simply canceled the order. Meanwhile, an hour and a half later and I still have no dinner

I placed an order with grubhub on 08/26/2026. They charged me three times on one account and one time on the other account. I have reached out to grubhub multiple times to be told a response from a generic template we only charged you one time reach out to your bank. It is two separate banks with the same charge that is grubhub problem. I have place a dispute with both banks, filed a complaint with the BBB. Often times I let their lack of customer service pass. Ie you never received a order for over $100.00 it was lost in space or the driver has enjoyed oh we can't issue you a refund or here is a $2.00 credit for your next order, the food is beyond horrible or you didn't receive the complete order oh we can't refund but here a $1.00 for your next order. This time grubhub has went to far to charge me four times for the exact order. Don't order from grubhub they will rob and steal for change. Just cook at home or try another service.
