Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 3,900 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complain about packages arriving late, going missing entirely, or delivery drivers leaving parcels in insecure locations instead of handing them over properly. Furthermore, consumers find customer support completely unhelpful, often describing frustrating automated chat systems and representatives that consistently fail to resolve missing orders and damaged product problems. Some reviewers were happy with the fast delivery and efficient service they received, noting that standard purchases arrived quickly, products were good, and the overall shopping process remained remarkably smooth without experiencing any major complications. They appreciated the reliable handling of their items and the straightforward assistance provided during previous purchases.

Using drive without permission

Amazon van drivers are using our private driveway to turn without permission. We cannot afford the damage this is causing to our driveway. Tell your bh12 poole drivers this will not do.

Unsympathetic lack of wrapping

I ordered a dance mat for my granddaughters birthday.
The present arrived with the delivery sticker stuck on the gift.
I'm well pissed off, it really spoils the look of the present.
For a company as rich as them, you'd think they would wrap the gift in a cheap wrap.

Amazon refuses to cover costs of return of damaged items

I purchased several items that turned out to be either damaged or not as described. Customer service instructed me to return the items at my own expense, promising a reimbursement afterward. I sent all items back, and Amazon has received them. I provided Amazon with receipts and shipping labels showing tracking codes, costs of shipment and shipping dates. However, Amazon is now refusing to refund my shipping costs without providing a logical reason. This was my first and final order with them.

Why, oh why do we get suckered back in...

Why, oh why do we get suckered back in...

Order 1 said next day delivery.
Never showed up

Order 2 said next day delivery
never showed up

The next day
Order 1 delivered to front of neighbours drive [left on public path] with a photo next to the gate post showing the wrong address. When I looked item was not there...
Complained, damned AI, agreed to get a refund.

Order 2 stated attempted delivery. Hmm... very odd as I was home all day and delivery 1 was left at the wrong property.
Agreed to refund and promised item would be sent following day.

Day 3
Order 2 does not arrive. Complain again, promised day delivery.

Day 4. Order 2 does not arrive. Fed up I cancel the order and place a new one. [order 3]

Day 5 Order 3 arrives. However, Order 1 has not been refunded. Amazon promises refund and I am told it has been done whilst I am talking to Customer Services.

Day 6. Refund was given as a voucher on the site and not back to my account as agreed. I had placed an order [order 4] for a smaller amount of an item as I did not want to pay out too much. When trying to cancel the order even though it hadn't been dispatched I was declined.
Order 5. Placed using the voucher, item says next day delivery. When I look at the order the next day it now says Saturday, even though the item still says on the listing next day delivery. Three day delivery even though it states next day.

Sooooo fed up. I don't care if I have to wait three weeks for something or have to drive 30 miles for it I am never using this god damn money grabbing useless waste of a company again!

I am joining the pile of bad reviews as…

I am joining the pile of bad reviews as I believe Amazon does not care at all about its customers . Refunds are organised of course but no genuine apologies from the higher management , no compensation for time spent waiting for deliveries which never happened . It is a petty but I have to say , us customers of an extremely well off organisation are not even appreciated. So well done for your complete lack of customer service / customer care .

I am working at BHX3

I am working at BHX3, one of Amazons warehouses and got across these reviews - the same rate every where. There extremely corrupt management, driven by ego, bad behaviour and mental instability. You will face at work favouritism and intimidation rather than professionalism and leadership. Passive aggressive management violate company's rules themselves and manipulate intentional hostilities at the work places by harassing employees who are not part of their smear campaigns.
HR and administration are stilling employees fees by practicing salary deductions and reductions in weekly payments and holiday hours with no explanation. They will find explanation of the reduction after they deducted your pay and you get back to them with the complaints, or they just ignore your concerns.
This never been happened before, they practising today the most lower standards you would ever expect from professional body, this obviously effect the outcome of Amazons business in general including customer service qualities in general. Fish rotten from head and this is the biggest example of it.
It's become dangerous and unsafe place to work, you don't know what next abuse you could face next next day you come to work.
Workplace should be built on respect and accountability. Unfortunately, this management culture demonstrates the complete opposite.

Failed Next-Day Delivery and…

Failed Next-Day Delivery and Frustrating Customer Service

I ordered a bucket for next-day delivery on 4 November because I urgently needed it. Amazon confirmed it was out for delivery, but it never arrived. Delivery was then pushed to 9 November.

Neither the app nor the customer service adviser could cancel my order. To be fair, the adviser apologised and arranged for me to refuse delivery if it arrived. I appreciated his help.

However, why should I have to wait several more days because Amazon failed to deliver as promised?

Amazon even crossed out my seller feedback, acknowledging responsibility for the delivery issue.

I now want my order cancelled and a full refund ASAP so I can buy elsewhere.

It’s not about £7.99. It’s about accountability, fairness and customer service.

I am APPALLED with amazons delivery…

I am APPALLED with amazons delivery service. I ordered my package over 2 weeks ago, in the promise it would come on the 31st of October. (because I can’t afford prime). I THEN didn’t get any updates on my package, of where it was, and when I will get it. It then did not arrive on the day i was promised. So i waited a week, still not here. I have tried contacting customer service team but I cannot find a real human to talk to apart from a shitty ai who didn’t help. I was then forced to refund my order, but i didn’t want to refund, i wanted the present for my son’s 18th. He was devastated that he didn’t get his gifts, as his emotions are high due to his down-syndrome. Thanks for ruining my lovely son’s 18th Amazon. I had to instead give him crap from Tesco, unlike the pants I had promised him. Delivery team and customer service team = awful.

Amazon has gone from being one of the…

Amazon has gone from being one of the best companies for customer service to, quite frankly, one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

Over recent months, I have experienced a catalogue of problems, including parcels being significantly delayed, not delivered at all, delivered damaged or containing completely incorrect items. Unfortunately, what has been even more disappointing than the delivery failures is the absolutely appalling standard of customer service when trying to resolve them.

Refunds are unnecessarily delayed, customers are given contradictory information, and it seems impossible to get a straightforward and honest answer from customer service.

My most recent experience sums up the situation perfectly. A parcel that was supposed to be delivered never arrived. I was initially told a replacement had been dispatched, only to be told during a subsequent conversation that no replacement had ever been sent. I was then advised that I could receive a refund, told to wait a couple of days, and subsequently informed that I couldn’t even request the refund for another five days.

So here I am, waiting for a refund for an item that was never delivered, for which no replacement was ever attempted, having been repeatedly given conflicting and misleading information by Amazon’s own customer service representatives.

Quite frankly, the whole experience has been disgraceful. What was once a company I would have recommended without hesitation has become a company I increasingly dread having to contact.

Amazon seems to have completely lost sight of the importance of customer service. Convenience and reliability were once its biggest selling points, but neither seems to feature in my recent experiences.

Holding on to customers’ money, failing to deliver orders and then making customers jump through hoops to resolve problems of Amazon’s own making is simply unacceptable.

A genuinely disappointing decline in what was once an excellent company.

Rubbish service again.

Rubbish service again.
Amazon fed up with your promises that drivers are being given feedback on their appalling customer service.
Drivers need to start taking accountability. Not hard to bring parcel to front door rather than dumping where they want.
Can you do some training as clearly most need to know what a front door looks like.

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service. Amazon is completely unreliable and clearly does not care about its customers.

I specifically ordered this item because it was advertised for next-day delivery. It was supposed to arrive yesterday, but nothing turned up. To make matters worse, Amazon falsely claims that my package has been delivered, even though I have received absolutely nothing!

The whole reason I ordered from Amazon was to get my item the next day, NOT to wait until Friday. If I wanted to wait that long, I would have simply gone to a shop and bought it myself!

What is the point of advertising next-day delivery if you cannot even deliver the package as promised? And how can you mark something as delivered when the customer hasn't received it?

Absolutely disgraceful, incompetent and unacceptable service. Amazon seems perfectly happy to take customers' money but couldn't care less about actually delivering what people have paid for.

A complete waste of my time. Extremely disappointing, and I am sick of this level of customer service.

Amazon lockers can't be trusted.

Turns out the Amazon locker my order was being sent to doesn't work any more, had two goes at delivering to it, no way of having the order delivered anywhere else, only possible option a refund, but that's going to only happen once they have the parcel back, so about 10 days, so no parcel, and hanging on to the money for a week and a half.

Pretty shambolic company tbh, I've had very good service from Temu, think ill stick to them going forward.

Missing parcels daily

Missing parcels daily, what does arrive is thrown over a 7ft gate onto concrete or dumped in a different location lost, yeah right lost lol do you think we are that naive lol. But Do amazon actually care ? No they don’t as long as they get a handsome wage. I contact amazon director uk using the email found on google and what a response!!! they aren’t interested one bit telling me as good as not to bother them as they have better things to do that be expected to deal with humans. (Earning good money no doubt watch and laughing at us everyday customer) oh well there are other places to shop that actually don’t treat you like you own them a living when you are actually keeping them in that handsome wage!!

I was just wondering why Amazon is so…

I was just wondering why Amazon is so bad now. It is no longer door to door service, its leaving parcels on the ground floor when we live two floors up. Are the drivers so lazy now or are they unfit? We will use a better service now as so fed up with delivery.

A long-standing Amazon customer who is…

A long-standing Amazon customer who is seriously reconsidering Prime membership

I’ve been an Amazon customer for many years and have spent an absolute fortune on this platform over the years. For a long time, I was genuinely happy with Amazon’s service. There were occasional minor delivery hiccups, such as drivers leaving parcels in safe places without even bothering to knock, couple of lost parcels, but nothing particularly serious. Overall, the service was reliable, convenient and worth paying for.

Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed my opinion.

For some time now, customers in my local area have been experiencing problems with Next Day Delivery. At some point, the option simply disappeared. Most items now show delivery estimates of three days or longer. Whether this is down to local delivery operations, driver availability or warehouse stock is unclear. I’ve repeatedly asked Amazon to investigate because I would like a straightforward explanation as to what has changed and whether this is temporary or permanent.

However, what has shocked me most is the absolutely diabolical customer service.

I’ve contacted customer support numerous times, repeatedly explaining the same issue because agents keep transferring me, disconnecting conversations or passing me to someone new. Every time, I have to start from scratch. It genuinely feels as though nobody bothers to read previous conversations or take ownership of an ongoing issue.

Having experienced this repeatedly, I can’t help but question the quality of Amazon’s outsourced customer service operations. The standard of support has deteriorated dramatically. Agents seem to follow scripts rather than genuinely investigate problems, conversations lack continuity, and there is very little accountability. Even supervisors have been unable to provide meaningful assistance.

I’ve requested a formal complaint to be raised on several occasions, but getting clear confirmation, a complaint reference number or even reassurance that the matter has actually been escalated has been practically impossible. I’m repeatedly told that something has been logged, yet I seem to end up going around in circles with absolutely no meaningful progress.

For a company as large as Amazon, this is simply unacceptable. I don’t expect perfection, and I understand that occasional problems happen. What I do expect is competent customer support, continuity between conversations, accountability and a proper complaints process.

I’ve always considered Amazon Prime worthwhile because of the convenience and next-day delivery. But if I’m paying a monthly or annual subscription and most deliveries now take a minimum of three days, what exactly am I paying for?

It’s genuinely disappointing because I used to be such a happy and loyal customer. After years of spending money with Amazon without much reason to complain, I’m now seriously questioning whether it’s worth keeping my Prime membership at all.

Amazon really needs to take a serious look at what is happening with its customer service and local delivery operations. The decline in service has been astonishing.

Amazon scam

Given Amazon voucher as a birthday present. When I open it, redemption code had been tampered with and I was not able to redeem the card.

Have now contacted Amazon 5 times. Each time they have said they will reimburse money. No signs of the money.

This is a well known scam with Amazon vouchers. Scammers are stealing the codes, then waiting for the card to be loaded and they then steal the money.

DO NOT BUY AMAZON GIFT CARDS. There is a chance they may have been tampered with and you have a hope in hell of getting your money off Amazon. They are just stalling me until they hoe I give up. Bunch of thieves.

Rude Customer Service call handler

Notified yesterday that delivery had been completed however not to me! Picture of house which I searched for and unable to locate although Amazon C/S stated was in my area. He was actually helpful. Today however another item unable to be delivered despite very clear delivery instruction and phone number. Called C/S and guy was less than helpful. Did not want to listen and actually laughing with colleagues. I was fuming. So bloody rude! Just saying yeah yeah ok we will deliver again. Unsurprising their overall reviews are poor. Will be updating review if parcels not delivered tomorrow. Will def be cancelling Prime!
