Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 235 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people find the platform's user experience frustrating due to constant, disruptive advertisements that hinder content access and navigation. Reviewers frequently report the website is no longer enjoyable, citing irrelevant search results and a cluttered homepage. A significant concern is the prevalence of misleading ads and undesirable products from unofficial sites, which consumers feel the platform fails to address. Users also face account suspensions, permanent deactivations, and loss of saved content without clear reasons. However, some customers still find value for discovering ideas and inspiration, especially for crafts, recipes, and home designs. These users appreciate the visual nature of the site for collecting and organizing content, genuinely enjoying it for simple references.

App seemed determined to flood feed…

App seemed determined to flood feed with trypophobia-triggering images (clusters of disease-mimicking spots, bumps, holes, etc.) specifically curated to induce revulsion. My repeatedly and patiently deleting each and every one of them apparently teaches the algorithm nothing. So I've just uninstalled the app from all devices. According to other people's complaints about the app, I won't be missing anything besides packs of ads. You should be sick of yourselves.

I don't know what's going on but I can't open any of my pinterest boards yet I can save pins to them? None of the boards I share with my friends/wife or my own and I don't know what I've done wrong. I've done everything yet the problem is not going away

Pinterest used to be a great platform

Pinterest used to be a great platform, but its automated moderation system is ruining the user experience.

I recently saved an anime fanart pin and received a notification saying it had been removed for containing sexual content bordering on a fetish. There was absolutely nothing sexual about it. Another pin was flagged for violence simply because it depicted a character standing with a sword.

The AI moderation system seems to be making completely unreasonable decisions, and users are the ones paying the price. At this point, I'm genuinely afraid to save perfectly harmless artwork because I could end up receiving account strikes or even being permanently banned for content that doesn't violate any rules.

Pinterest seriously needs to improve its moderation system or have more cases reviewed by actual people. Otherwise, the platform will become useful only for browsing pins—not for saving or curating collections—because users will constantly have to worry about being punished for innocent content.

No one should risk losing their account simply for saving fanart or a picture of two characters sleeping on a couch in front of a TV.

What happened to the good Pinterest

What happened to the good Pinterest? It’s all garbage now. With constant bombardment of interruptions of virus scans during content viewing. I rarely watch Pinterest anymore due to the lack of entertainment!

fix your system

fix your bot system and fix your automated ban system. stop counting the people who save pins as part of the violation, stop moving the ownership of a pin from a previous owner to a new unconsenting user, stop creating a seperate copy of a pin under everyones name to keep this system going. stop doing all of this because you're too lazy to adjust your system fairly for users while complying to eu and other local laws, delete the pins and dont attack us.

A word of warning

A word of warning: never order from companies advertised on Pinterest without thoroughly checking them first.
I made this mistake, trusting that Pinterest would only promote legitimate businesses.
My experience with this company(regarding marnetic.com) was extremely disappointing.
After takung my payment, they failed to deliver the product and completely ignored my emails.
Be very careful and do your research before placing an order!

PINTREST 🤡🤡🤡 More like..... Lost Interest!

Nothing but adverts, AI and BS about having to delete pins that were pinned FROM PINTREST'S OWN SITE. Pintrest no longer seems to even bother telling you what the terribly offensive pin might be, just ridiculous descriptions, such as, adult content or self harm., errr no, I don't think so 🤥
PIntrest constantly shows you the same content too, yawn and they make sure that you are unable contact a human and refuse to provide an email address.

I used to love using the Pintrest app

I used to love using the Pintrest app, but no more it has gone to pot with so damn many ads you can't see the receipt for the ads that block everything. So I am not using the app anymore, you can take it and shove it where the sun don't shine, and if you want the receipt, just ask and I will be happy to help.

Pinterest is toxic.

I have just deleted my account permanently from Pinterest. I have been with them for years and used on a daily basis, had great pins and ideas I used as Ian housebound. The site has become toxic, especially over the last year so. This American Company is allowing YOU TUBE - also an American company to post hate videos on certain individuals in the public eye, accusations of child abuse, theft and even murder, with posters using libellous, slander. Any attempt to fact check, is met with abuse, unchecked by Pinterest. I have also deleted my You Tube account which is just as bad. Pinterest was a lovely site and now it’s just somewhere for people to vent their hate. I feel so relieved to have deleted it today.

When accessing sites on Pinterest in order to purchase items, look at reviews and information first. Many sites misrepresent themselves, and, from experience, Pinterest does not over see or stop these sights - no matter how many people are scammed or contact them for help.

DELETE PINTEREST

Pinterest shadow bans random pins and flags wrongly for AI, the website is laggy all the time, likes and views on posts are temporary to the current month for some reason and they all reset, the business interface sucks, its not even possible to delete pins anymore for some reason the button is there it just doesn't work. there is no option to log out of my account, when i click on a pin it clicks on a different one, policies suck and they restrict genuine art instead of nudity.

Every Upgrade Is a Downgrade. A Self‑Inflicted Disaster.

Pinterest has become a case study in how to ruin a platform through sheer incompetence. Every “upgrade” they release somehow makes the site worse — slower, buggier, more confusing, and more hostile to the people who actually use it. It’s astonishing to watch a company repeatedly break features that were already working and then congratulate themselves for it.

The search function is practically unusable. Results are irrelevant, repetitive, and often completely disconnected from what you typed. Boards glitch, pins disappear, and the interface feels like it’s held together with tape. The platform behaves like it’s allergic to stability.

Their moderation system is even worse. Perfectly normal content gets flagged or restricted without explanation. Entire accounts are limited for vague “violations” that Pinterest refuses to define. The appeal process is a dead end — generic, copy‑paste responses that don’t address anything you wrote and don’t fix the problem. It’s clear no human is reviewing anything.

Pinterest is run like a ship with no captain. Decisions feel random, execution is sloppy, and the user experience has collapsed under the weight of poor leadership. This platform is no longer reliable, useful, or even functional. Every change they make is a downgrade, and the people running it seem completely unaware of how much damage they’ve done.

What used to me one of my favorite apps…

What used to me one of my favorite apps is becoming the most annoying user experience on the entire world wide web! The pop ups adds make my blood boil. There are a ton of reviews with similar sentiment but Pinterest doesn't seem to listen to the feedback.

I really love Pinterest because I love…

I really love Pinterest because I love all of the beautiful pictures. What I dont like about it is that it won’t let you organise your pins. I have over 30k of them and find it hard to browse through them all. You can only order your boards A-Z, most recent or in a custom order but with hundreds of boards that becomes quite difficult. So my problem is that I can never see many of the older pins that I have saved. So I thought I’d try to reorganise my boards to mix some old with some new but no. I can’t move more than 50 pins at a time to another board before hitting a “spam block” even if I have all my boards set to private? So then I thought I’d try to organise my boards into different sections - spam block. What’s the point of even pinning things that I’ll never get to see again? The newest stuff I’ve pinned I’ve seen so many times it’s become boring. Even if they let me filter Z-A or oldest to newest might help a little.

Constant Scams and Deception from Pinterest recommend websites

Be very careful when deciding to order something from a store that is recommended on Pinterest! I have been scammed for the last time with their sites! Must of the stuff comes from stores in China and even many stores that say that they are either in Canada with addresses in these countries are not! They are located in China and even though they say they will make returns with out any problems they are lying. If you choose to return you must pay for shipping to China or offer you 15% of you total purchase! They are mostly SCAM SITES. NEVER AGAIN…Lies and deception practices! It’s getting worse every day! My latest scam was with Mark & Houston, Delaware address. Phone number, promises returns no problems . Well guess what, no one answers the phone and the number isn’t in Delaware but in Wyoming! Buyer BEWARE! Clothing items don’t even resemble the products you think you are purchasing. Another site is Toronto Fits! Nothing to do with Canada just to drag you in! They should all be arrested!
