Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 223 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently experienced significant delays, lost parcels, and items arriving damaged. Many people found the service unhelpful, often feeling they had to handle administrative tasks themselves. Reviewers also reported unexpected additional charges, frequently due to disputed parcel weights. Many customers felt the company acted as a confusing middleman, leading to a lack of accountability for problems. Some reviewers were dissatisfied with the limited compensation cover, as claims for lost or damaged parcels were often refused. Additionally, tracking information was frequently unreliable, leaving customers without shipment visibility.

Avoid like the plague - wrong delivery, no accountability, impossible to contact

Avoid them like the plague. They delivered our item to the wrong address and showed absolutely no responsibility for the mistake. They won't answer emails and there is no way to contact them directly. UPS tells us to contact the broker (Packlink), and Packlink won't deal with us directly. Truly terrible company. I wish I had seen the feedback before we started using them.

Unfair additional charge with no proof provided

I used Packlink to book a parcel shipment with the following conditions:

Service: up to 30 kg (80 x 40 x 40 cm)
Paid amount: €69.03
Declared weight: 31.9 kg

After delivery, I was charged an additional €103.16 for an alleged excess weight of 1.9 kg.

The issue is that:

No proof of weighing was provided (no scale record, photos or documentation)
The extra charge is disproportionate compared to the original shipping cost
I requested evidence and clarification but have not received a satisfactory response

I am concerned about the lack of transparency in how additional charges are calculated and communicated.

I have now escalated the case through my bank as an unauthorised and disputed charge.

I am sharing this so other users are aware of this experience.

Unjustified surcharge charged despite formal dispute

Packlink charged me an additional €104.04 for a shipment, claiming FedEx had detected a weight/size discrepancy. I formally disputed the charge and asked for concrete documentation, such as proof of the measured weight and dimensions, date/location of the measurement, and any FedEx report or scan supporting the claim.

Instead of providing evidence, they sent a generic reply asking me to provide photos of the packages after they had already been delivered and were no longer in my possession. Despite the dispute still being open and no supporting documentation being provided, Packlink charged my card anyway.

Very disappointing experience. If a company claims an extra fee, it should be able to prove it before taking the money.

Phantom price adjustments charged weeks later via automatic PayPal - stay away

Deeply dishonest service. Two weeks after a shipment that was already paid for and delivered without issues, Packlink deliberately triggered an automatic PayPal charge of €9.58 + VAT as a "price adjustment", claiming the package weighed 23.7 kg instead of the 6 kg I declared.
The problem: the package contained a Lava Me 4 carbon fiber guitar, which according to the manufacturer's official specs weighs 2.1 kg. With case and packaging, the total is 5-6 kg, fully consistent with what I declared. Claiming it weighed 23.7 kg is physically impossible - that would require nearly 18 kg of "phantom material" that simply did not exist.
Even more telling: the dimensions reported by the carrier are IDENTICAL to those I declared (103x42x22 cm vs 42x22x103 cm, the same numbers in different order). So the package was correctly identified, but the weight was inflated by 18 kg out of thin air.
What makes this worse is the timing and the method: they waited two weeks - long enough for most customers to archive the case and stop paying attention - and then quietly pulled the money via automatic PayPal charge, without prior confirmation. The dispute system exists but dumps the burden of proof entirely on the customer, who is expected to produce photos and documentation of a package they no longer have. Convenient.
This looks like a systematic mechanism: questionable weight audits + automatic delayed PayPal charges = extra revenue extracted from shippers who have already moved on. Multiplied across thousands of shipments, it becomes a meaningful income stream at the customer's expense.
I will never use Packlink again and I strongly advise anyone shipping lightweight or valuable items to choose a different provider. There are serious alternatives on the market that do not rely on this kind of practice.

I sent a very expensive item that you lost

I sent a very expensive item that you took charge of delivering but the item tracking was left with "incident" and i was never compensated or given an answer. The item was worth £1600 and we paid £100 for the delivery and insurance.

Months later it still says "incident". You would think you would have a team dedicated to resolving these issues but getting in touch with this compant is almost impossible! Now as a company i am down nearly £3000 due to the loss of the item. I will be taking this to court because the service is diabolocal!!

Unfortunately there is no zero star…

Unfortunately there is no zero star option otherwise that would have been my mark. Paid for 48 hrs delivery, package was collected 6 days (SIX) after. When delivered, it was delivered without waiting for the receiver to sign and check it and in the package there was a different item. Packlink+UPS terrible combination. Since then (3 months ago) no justification, no explanation, no refund, nothing

No number to call, No real person to speak to, Worst AI chat EVER. Without doubt the worst courier I've used by far.

Complete nightmare. Avoid Packlink for valuable shipments.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Packlink. I shipped a package worth over €800 through the platform (using Mondial Relay as the courier), and the package never reached its destination.

The issue is clear and well documented: the shipping label only printed part of my surname instead of the full name, even though I entered my information correctly. When the package arrived in Italy, the tracking clearly showed it could not be delivered due to an incorrect address.

Despite this, the way Packlink handled the situation was completely unsatisfactory. A claim was opened, but the only compensation offered was a ridiculous €20.83 for a package worth over €800. This is completely unreasonable and honestly insulting.

I repeatedly requested concrete assistance to fix the delivery details and recover the package, but all I received were generic replies and no real solution. It’s obvious the problem came from the label, and it could have been resolved easily by reshipping the parcel with the correct information.

After two months of this ordeal, the package was suddenly declared damaged, coincidentally on the exact day they announced they would stop investigating. No useful information about its location was provided.

Based on my experience (and the many similar stories I’ve seen online), I strongly recommend avoiding Packlink, especially for any high-value shipment.

No customer service whatsoever

No customer service whatsoever. All AI replies and you get nowhere, no answers, no updates, no information. The delivery companies they use are not interested in helping as packlink are the customer, you just go round in circles and can’t speak or live chat to a human, waste of time even trying to contact them

I used Packlink via eBay to send a £540…

I used Packlink via eBay to send a £540 LEGO Millennium Falcon. The parcel was collected and scanned, but tracking has gone completely silent since 21/03/2026. Packlink applied a cost adjustment on 26/03/2026 but did nothing to fix the missing delivery.

I’ve had to refund the buyer in full, leaving me £558 out of pocket. Communication has been slow, unclear, and unhelpful. This system is unreliable for high-value shipments. Sellers beware — Packlink does not take responsibility when parcels go missing.

Unresponsive customer service from Packlink (shipment still on hold)

I shipped an international parcel with Packlink on 18/02/2026.

The tracking has been stuck since 12/03/2026 and I have not received any further updates.

On 27/03/2026, I received an email from Packlink stating that the parcel dimensions were incorrect. I promptly replied to their email, but since then I have not received any further response.

I have already opened a claim through their system, but I have received no reply.

Customer service is completely unresponsive.

I am requesting an immediate update on the status of my shipment.

If I do not receive a response within 48 hours, I will proceed with a chargeback and report the issue to the relevant consumer authorities.

Awful company

Awful company. The compensation scheme is a farce. I sold my dad’s beloved expensive Marantz cd player after he died on behalf of my mum, packaged it up carefully and covered it in fragile stickers. It was sent using Evri. When it arrived at the buyer the box was bashed to bits and the unit was broken and dented. I had to give a full refund and pay to get it returned to me.
On claiming I was told as it was wrapped in bubble wrap it contravened their packing rules as they were allowed to drop it from a fixed height but they would give me £25 as it was my first claim.
The money never arrived. I emailed them 3 times to ask where it was with no response. So my mum is nearly £200 out of pocket. I even emailed the CEO Ben Askew with no reponse either.
They are just not interested. Avoid at all cost

Delivery in Spain. They didn't come and didn't call.

We ordered cargo delivery in Spain, issued an application, paid.

No one came and called at the appointed time.

We wasted time waiting for the courier. Also because of this, we will have to urgently drive 500 km from Alicante to Barcelona to pick up the cargo, because it is needed for the event.

Very dissatisfied with the service.

Awful

I sold a pair of vintage loudspeakers, and shipped them via DPD.

DPD severely damaged both - judging by the damage, the courier dropped them on hard surface.

So I wrote to Packlink, requesting compensation. Packlink replied that speakers were more than 20 years old and therefore ineligible for ANY compensation (the maximum offered is a measly £60, below the value of damaged goods).

Packlink offered no proof that speakers were that old. I explained, in writing, that the speakers were years 'younger' than that AND that, in any case, speakers were perfectly fine until Packlink's chosen courier killed them. To no avail.

I am really surprised that eBay, the global leader, chose this lot to work with.

Sent an item, was almost 3 weeks delayed. had an email to say they could not find the package. so i sent replacements. they then said they found the packages and delivered them 3 weeks later. would not refund replacements. they never ever pay. why they have not been investigated is beyond me. Why do Ebay insist on using such a bad company.?
