Awful

Terrible customer service, Muslim delivery drivers that refuse to deliver alcohol, overall Amazon is going down the crapper.

Doesn't work

Doesn't work, ridiculous UK government bringing in stupid laws then having useless companies like this pretend to make it work. The stabbing rates aren't going down because they've made it impossible for a housebound person to order a knife.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your experience.

We understand how inconvenient it is when mandatory verification steps create a barrier to getting the items you need.

To clarify, Yoti provides the digital identity verification software used by retailers to comply with UK age-restriction laws, but we do not set the legislation or the specific acceptance rules for retail orders.

That said, you shouldn't be left without a way to complete your purchase. If the automated check is failing, we encourage you to contact the retailer directly. They often have alternative manual verification processes available for customers who face accessibility challenges or lack standard digital ID documents.

Kind regards,

The Yoti team

Ridiculous.

Their system is utterly stupid, the transaction gets bounced back because there's no funds then they send the stuff I don't want anyway. Good luck getting blood out of a stone.

Hi there,

We’re really sorry to hear how frustrating this has been, and we completely understand why receiving a box you no longer wanted after a failed payment would feel particularly confusing and upsetting.

Marro is a rolling subscription, which means boxes are automatically scheduled unless the subscription is paused, changed or cancelled before the relevant cut-off. We always send a reminder email before that cut-off, giving customers the opportunity to make any changes to their upcoming box.

If a payment initially fails, we may still send the box (as 'a box of grace') rather than leave a cat without their food. The payment then remains outstanding and is automatically retried afterwards. We appreciate that this process can feel counterintuitive if you’re expecting a failed payment to mean the order is automatically cancelled, and we’re sorry if that wasn’t clear in your experience.

Our cut-off is also final once it has passed. This is because, by that point, our kitchen team has already begun preparing the food, and the boxes are packed and processed alongside hundreds of other orders. We unfortunately can’t pull individual boxes back from this process once they’ve reached that stage. We do explain the cut-off within the reminder emails so customers have the opportunity to make changes beforehand.

That said, we absolutely don’t want you to feel like there’s no one here to help. We’d really like to look at what happened with your account specifically and make sure everything is now stopped or resolved correctly.

Please email us at meow@marro.com with your details and we’ll take a proper look, our team is working through conversations oldest to newest to make sure nobody is missed.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we’d genuinely welcome the chance to look into this properly for you.

Review of eBay

Scum.

They've started hosting scammers from China that knowingly sell you non functional products and there's no way to contact eBay.

Closed my account of 15 years with regular purchases, they're simply not worth giving custom to anymore, I look forward to hearing about them going under.

Just another establishment rag

Just another establishment rag, happy to have commenters call for the deaths of white British while they'll ban you for commenting along the lines of the opinions of their long standing writers. Of course anyone be to the paper is woke.

Do not know how to retain customers.

Refused to let me log in to a new firetv because I had a subscription pause beginning next week. Well now I've cancelled, well done Disney.
Everything they've made recently has been woke dross anyway.

Scamming filth.

They're trying to charge me £80 for 8 days of electricity when I wasn't in the property and the electricity had been cut off!

Have used them for years but they've scammed me on my last order

After a week of waiting for a response they've offered some few vouchers after scamming me. DO NOT get their lucky dip, they say it will be a "Minimum worth: £23.23" I got three and they sent me ten pounds worth for each, on the shop app it shows what they should have sent but didn't. They've come back to me after over a week and said everything was scanned in, obviously if they looked at the weight of the box sent they'd see that's rubbish. Seems they're accusing me of lying, so after years I'm not going to use them anymore but I will be reporting this fraud to the ombudsman.

Fraudulent advertising, terrible mistakes, awful customer service and insulting outcome. AVOID WHAT THIS COMPANY HAS BECOME!

Thank you for your review.

We’re really sorry to hear how disappointed and frustrated you are following this experience, and we sincerely apologise for the delay in responding to your concerns.

We completely understand why you feel upset regarding the Lucky Dip items received and the outcome of the investigation. Please be assured that we would never intentionally accuse any customer of being dishonest, and we’re sorry that our handling of this has made you feel this way.

We can see that our customer service team have now reached out to offer a reship of the items believed to be missing. To put things right and avoid any further inconvenience, we have offered to arrange a reshipment of the missing items to the same address on the soonest available delivery date.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re very sorry that on this occasion we have fallen short of the standards you expected from us after being a loyal customer for many years.

I owe £220 by the 12th of April out of no where for no real reason

Apparently changing your billing date 5 days costs £220, I've no patience with the bull, I'm not wasting my time to fix an issue EE have caused, fix it or I just won't pay anything.

Edit: they think I'll waste my time to sort out their mistake, no thanks.

Edit 2: complaint process is also utterly useless. So glad I've only got two months left.

Edit 3: illegally set up a plan without my permission, this company is disgusting.

Simple programming to correct an obvious error

You're program came added to Samsung keyboard on my new phone, it decides to mess up tags to users on social media. Anything that comes after an @ shouldn't be touched by your program, this is so incredibly obvious that I can't blame it on anything but incompetence.
