Actually really happy with the product

Actually really happy with the product. When we’re travelling I usually have data on my Irish Sim/ phone that works throughout Europe. Recently got a France eSim for my husband while we’re in France for a couple of months. was 6 euro approx for 10GB over the course of a month. Easy purchase, super easy installation/activation, been working well. So well we bought another one for the second month. Recommend this site/company.

Super happy with Too Good To Go

Super happy with Too Good To Go - We actually signed up in Sydney, Australia but got distracted and didn’t actually try out a surprise bag. We are travelling in France right now and were heading to Strasbourg for Easter… read a blog that mentioned it and thought, hang on… we’ve already signed up for that. That was two weeks ago, we got a surprise bag in Strasbourg that kept us in Asian food for a couple of dinners and now we’re back in Paris and killing our waistlines with stunning food! So far Vietnamese, sushi, pizza, pastries, bread, cakes and heavens knows what else. We’re loving it - helping our budget, trying new things, exploring nearby neighbourhoods. Had a couple of bags we probably wouldn’t return to the shop - but the price was still fair. Also had some outstanding experiences too and we wouldn’t hesitate to revisit those stores.

Review of Wise

When it works, it works… When!

Strange company. I used Transferwise years and years ago. I set up / updated to Wise because a travel company in Africa wants to be paid by that method and I was happy to do so. Did the verification process a couple of weeks ago which is incidentally a nightmare as you need to take specs off for a selfie and then the screen gives you written instructions… hilarious fun. Worked perfectly well a few days ago when I transferred funds from my A$ bank account (a joint account) using payID - yay - so simple. Paid an invoice to my travel agent in Africa. Transferred more AUD today - should have been instant (god knows it left my account instantly) - then it was held up at Wise end because the Wise account and the sending account didn’t have same names as I had a new name - yeah right - 21 years ago when I changed my name upon marriage. So had to use the online chat to get it sorted out - send marriage cert, then another online photo of passport and another selfie (still not laughing) and FINALLY almost two hours later the funds are in my account. The support was good - but I am still bamboozled as to why two different days saw two completely different outcomes on a simple transfer.

Hi Vivienne,

Thanks for taking the time to share your recent experience. We are glad to hear that our support team was able to resolve the issue and get your money moving, though we certainly understand the frustration caused by the tedious nature of the verification process.

Regarding the verification steps, we completely understand that it can be a bit of a challenge to remove your glasses for a selfie and then be expected to read on-screen instructions. While our verification guidelines request a clear view of the face without hats or sunglasses, we never intend for this to be a barrier. If any customer is struggling with these steps due to a physical disability or technical issues, we strongly encourage reaching out to our support team so we can provide direct assistance: https://wi.se/help

It can also feel confusing when one transfer is seamless and the next is flagged. As a regulated financial institution, we are required to ensure that the names on the sending bank account and the Wise account match perfectly to keep our services secure. Even though your name change was many years ago, these checks are necessary to verify the identity of everyone using our platform. While the initial verification can feel troublesome, these checks are typically a one-time hurdle. Once cleared, you can return to using your account as usual with the speed and simplicity you experienced earlier in the week. More on ID verification here: https://wi.se/verifyyourid

We truly appreciate your patience in providing your marriage certificate and updated photos to help us meet these requirements. We hope the rest of your transfers go smoothly. We're here to help any way we can.

Excellent customer service - Highly Recommend.

I’ve been buying from Inish for around 10 years - sometimes delivering to home in Sydney or wherever I happen to be in Europe (sometimes even in Ireland) - great service, always. My recent parcel went astray and the customer service was excellent and the situation was resolved. Highly recommend this company.

Review of Air Greenland

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

2* but could have been 5* plus!!!

On a positive note we left Nuuk airport only an hour or so late - which is apparently pretty good for Air Greenland. We flew Nuuk to Copenhagen in Air Greenland’s Premium class. What a shame. This airline has (with the exception of Turkish Airlines), the best intra-Europe business class we’ve ever flown. Ever. The hard product is superb. It is 100% fit for purpose, the catering was excellent BUT in some misguided attempt at ‘equality’ - they have dumbed it down. So. No priority check-in lane, no lounge at Nuuk airport - just in with the hordes. No fast-track at security (given they only had one machine functioning not sure how they’d do that). Then, no priority boarding - again, it was only by virtue of thinking ‘that sounds positive’ when they started announcements in Greenlandic and heading straight to the gate area that we made it on the plane ahead of the 300 odd other passengers - it would have been easy enough to welcome the 40 odd Premium passengers to board first - so please don’t blame this on the airport. We paid a lot extra to avoid scrums and were disappointed. We boarded in the middle of the plane and got to turn left instead of right - again, could have had a separate airstair for Premium. Once onboard, the seating is 2-3-2 - head for the 2s if you are a couple and if you can select Row 1 - grab it - significantly more leg room and no-one to recline their seat into you. The seats were very comfy, the recline (6 inches) was great, the food was great - BUT there was (literally) one (so no actual) choice - beef. It was superb. Again with the equality issue - the ‘drinks menu’ is basically the inflight magazine - one page is all inclusive drinks for all passengers, the following page is ‘drinks anyone can buy, but are inclusive for premium passengers’ - just cheapened the whole experience - why not print both pages separately and have it (without all the prices) in the ‘Premium’ class seat pocket. The inflight amenity bag was useful - mask, airplugs, headphones, socks (included for premium and at a cost for the rest) - nothing flash but functional. I used my Airfly and Airpods and it worked perfectly with the IFE. Wifi is also free for Premium passengers and provided good connectivity for the whole flight. The movie selection was fabulous. BUT then we arrive into Copenhagen airport and the wheels metaphorically fall off again. There was a delay with the airstairs (please - it’s a 5 hour flight - spring for a jetbridge why don’t you) - and no priority debarkation for Premium (you could get a separate airstair if you must use them, at the front of the plane and a separate bus as Turkish Airlines have) Once again we’re all equal (which is incorrect as we paid a lot more for the ‘privilege’ of flying Premium.) So it was open-slather getting off the plane and into the airport on a packed bus. Then - one of our bags came out first and the other was almost last… which meant a delay getting to the hotel included in our expedition cruise - and another queue. So if Air Greenland is listening. STOP messing about with “Premium” and call your product what it is ‘BUSINESS’ and then fix it. Priority check-in, priority bag tags, priority boarding, priority debarkation. You have a stunning, well designed, hard product in brand new planes, but you’ve dressed it down so far and come up with non-standard nomenclature for it. It’s like the USA calling domestic business class ‘First’. Were it not for those glaring deficiencies, this would have been 5 stars, if not 5 stars Plus. The highlight of Greenland for us was Ilulissat - undoubtedly, but can’t imagine going to Greenland again until Air Greenland takes these comments onboard.

Third time of use - All good!

OK. So we’ve bought iPhones on eBay before - couple of 5S models back in the day that lasted for years, a nice little 12 mini (still going strong) and a XS max that got a shattered back glass within a week of purchase (tight jeans?) - so eBay is definitely cheap - and most of the time you are lucky. Then there was the 13 Pro Max we bought last year, one ‘careful’ lady owner. Amazing price at the time, $850. Then within 2 weeks, wouldn’t charge or only intermittently. She said it must be our cables. It wasn’t. Apple Genius said the security screws were rusted shut and it couldn’t be repaired (only replaced) - likely water/condensation damage which the owner denied - so eBay came to the party, but it was a fight. This time we’re heading overseas and the phone must, must, must be 100% so got around to buying a 13 Pro Max from OzMobiles - perfect. Bought ‘exceptional’ and the battery was at 100% (refurbed) - hubby is now forgetting to put it on charge because it never needs it. Swift delivery, helpful chat/message, well packed - yada yada - we even bought the accidental breakage cover (though the jeans fit better now). These are the guys to go to when you just don’t want the pfaff.

Excellent service and system

Excellent service and system. I needed some medication that can’t be bought in my home country without nuisance and great expense (Australia). I’m travelling in Dublin now and found Mediplus online - ordered, paid, took a week for a well packaged parcel to arrive from Spain to Ireland. Payment went through no problem. Very happy. I contacted Michael just to double check how long it might take to get here - very reassuring customer service. Tracking from the Correos postal system in Spain worked perfectly. Would not hesitate to shop with them again. A+ service!

Review of Fortune's Pharmacy

Great - Great - Great!

Great. Great. Great. For the three items I needed - Macushield 90 (2 boxes), Stugeron travel sickness (10 boxes) and Hylo-Tear eyedrops for dry eyes (1 box)… they were the most keenly priced on the internet (let’s not even consider walking into a pharmacy for fleecing-in-person). I saved around €17 all up. So Great Prices! I needed a lot (think 70 days of cruising), a lot of Stugeron and Fortunes emailed me a short but thorough medical questionaire which was easy to fill out and submit immediately. The order was 100% processed and delivered within a week. So Great Service! The order itself was the equivalent of walking out of a posh department store with a lovely shopping bag. It arrived in a branded, teal blue box, had a handwritten note and was beautifully packed. So Great Attention to Detail and Presentation! Won’t hesitate to use them again - definitely for the couple of things I remembered… after I submitted the order. Altogether best online pharmacy I’ve used in Ireland - which is maybe 4 and one of them used to be my ‘go to’ Not anymore.

Great Service Altogether

I recently signed up as a new customer and did a large order of Vitamin B3 - we’ve been taking it for years… but apparently the no flush version is standard in Australia - whoops. So anyway - excellent website, order processed beautifully, arrived within 2 days and the box was wonderfully presented - loved the tissue paper and pretty sticker - all nice touches. On day 1 I had a horrendous all over severe sunburn like ‘flush’ reaction to the Solgar Vitamin B3 (FLUSH VERSION!) - had to go to bed for 3 hours burning and shivering simultaneously - Molloys returns system is brilliant - obviously 8 bottles of nasty business was no good to us so we returned the 7 unused bottles and had a refund within a couple of days for the unused products. Altogether very efficient and friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again. Thanks specifically to Emma who answered my emails.

Great transfer from CDG to 19th

Great transfer from CDG to 19th. Easy to book, good communications. We landed at 2E and at the L gates - so took seemingly forever to walk to the navette, get to the next terminal, immigration quick, but went to wrong carousel, had to backtrack, running like Bolt all over CDG - finally made it to the meeting point and our wonderful driver had messaged us, sent a pic of the vehicle and was patiently waiting 50 minutes after our flight landed. Excellent driver, skilful, efficient, friendly. and a spotlessly clean, beautiful vehicle - KiwiTaxi - another great transfer

Happy with house or 75% - Bring it on!

I’ve entered 3 house competitions so far - two in Ireland and one in UK. Despite living in Australia we will enter any house raffle that goes on this site. Easy to enter - a small stake (2-5 quid) and much better odds than any house or other lotto we can enter. And 75% of the ticket revenue straight to our Paypal if (when!) we win. Great fun and something to look forward to. Love it.

Hope to be back visiting Ireland before I need to order again. Thanks as always

We ordered some charging cables and the online process was quick and easy, shipping updates were fast and accurate and the packs arrived from Melbourne to Sydney within 3-4 days. Cables are fine, do their job, good price. Happy all around - might use them to buy a refurb phone if/when it’s necessary.

Review of CouriersPlease

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Delivered? Sort of.

Well we got a text saying it was onboard for delivery. A few hours later our apartment buzzer rang. I answered and buzzed the door open. It’s roughly 20 metres from my door to the front door of the apartment building. It took me 30 seconds to get there to, you know, sign for my package... or something? My parcel was dumped inside the front door, at the bottom of 2 steps, pretty much designed for residents to trip right over. Could have gone on a sideboard, frequently used by couriers. Could have waited 30 seconds to get my signature - but nope. Can’t say it was delivered per se. Dumped at the correct building and abandoned is more like it. Were it not for Covid... and everybody doing it tough... would have been 2 stars.

FRAUDULENT SCAM ARTISTS

FRAUDULENT SCAM ARTISTS. We booked a transfer on 7 March and needed to cancel it on 16 March when the borders nearby were closed. We emailed as instructed. We were emailed on 17 March to say they would process the refund in 5-7 days and would would receive the refund in my credit card account within 30 days. I chased. They replied on 1 April and assured me I would receive a refund and I could use their email as confirmation (or toilet paper as it turns out). Today I chased again and they started spouting about their terms and conditions and I would get the amount credited to my account with them and (whoop di doo) an extra 10% - as if they’ll even be in business after the pandemic. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID - treat this company like a sufferer of coronavirus who is out in public coughing on people. We’ve raised disputes with AMEX and Paypal - it is unethical in the extreme to change contracts unilaterally and on the fly.

Review of 12Go

Awesome - Definitely happy to use over and over again (India)

Awesome. Have a couple of trips booked (could be more) - no worries at all. Travelled from the northern Delhi station - H.Nizamuddin to Sawai Madophur to start our adventure in Rajasthan. The train service - it is what it is, but the service from 12Go was perfection. Tickets sent immediately after booking - excellent info in the print out - and do, do, do print it out - you will want to refer to it, you don’t want to be pfaffing about at the station on no battery trying to figure out where your carriage and berth is. We reviewed the railway trip as well: here goes below, but no hesitation using 12Go Asia - really great service from go to whoa.

It is what it is. If you are expecting a European sleeper train - stop now. We wanted first class but only one seat was available when we booked months in advance. We took two berths in 2nd class AirCon sleeper (like 2nd best on train). The carriage number was on the ticket as was the berth number. The curtained compartments look a bit grubby - but the seats were clean vinyl and we got on at the origin station and there were stacks of clean sheets, a pillow and blanket per berth. The porters are an aggressive irritation, more so in SWM, even though we were met by our hotel rep, off our carriage, they followed and nagged until we left the station. Cannot emphasise enough - look at your ticket and find your carriage number - they are clearly marked. You have to look into the compartments (through the curtains) to see the berth number. Get to yours and hold your ground. You do not have to let anyone share! Spread out! Do not expect much assistance - there isn’t any per se. We saw the guard once when he checked our tickets and passports. Best advice, if you’re female and need help - ask a nicely dressed, younger Indian woman for a hand - we met one at the station end in Delhi and she googled the train and told us our carriage was close to the front and 6 behind the engine - so we went the right end of the platform and didn’t feel rushed to get on. Also - bring your own food - like d’oh. In Delhi we were literally pestered, almost to death, by half a dozen different sandwich and food touts desperate to flog us dodgy, glad wrapped offerings of dubious heritage. Just another irritation - but the train trip was smooth, we were unmolested, we were only 10-15 minutes late into SWM - so 100% on time by local standards.

Flight Booking worked PERFECTLY! - Big Savings!

We found this website via a couple of blog posts and needed to book an internal flight in Vietnam. We tried to book the flight directly on Vietnam Airlines site - but it glitched and wouldn’t let us continue at the point of entering and confirming email addresses. For just a few thousand Dong more (maybe US$1-2) we booked with no problems on Traveloka. The site took a few minutes to process the payment on my Australian Visa card, then issued the ticket along with a PNR. Then I read the reviews on here and PANICKED!!! I couldn’t access the PNR on vietnamairlines.com but did a ‘livechat’ with Traveloka and the consultant sent me a link which then accessed the PNR with no problem. The issue was I’d been using PNR/Surname/my email - but the email associated with the PNR was actually the travel agent email. Once I did this, no problem at all and I could see the booking along with the e-ticket numbers. We are really happy with this experience - we couldn’t use the airline’s own website and to book the exact same flight on Expedia in Australian dollars was going to cost more than twice as much - came to A$315 on Traveloka vs. A$670 on Expedia.com.au. It seems from reviews here on Trustpilot that many negative experiences (though not all) are as a result of changing dates/names/urgent circumstances or even not knowing your visa requirements. If you have a straight forward booking and are confident with online bookings then there seems to be no problem - we will definitely use them again for flights where it is a significant saving over booking direct or with another Online Travel Agent. (However... our 71 year old mother still uses a travel agent in her local shopping centre - as that’s what works for her and she has a person to assist her, in person, if things don’t go according to plan).

This is my ‘go to’ shop as I travel…

This is my ‘go to’ shop as I travel more or less permanently. Whenever I need particular products - eyedrops, vitamins, supplements etc - they get them to me. So far - a village post office in Italy, the local town post office in southern Spain and this time, actually to a track off a lane of a rural road off a slightly bigger rural road off a big road - utter magic. They used couriers this time and it was delivered exactly when expected. Cannot praise the website, processing, delivery and products highly enough.
