The products are excellent. Since you can "see" how much I am using, I don't understand why you send me replacements when I don't need them. Then I have to suspend my orders until I use them up. Al... See more

Expensive with unreliable supply and terrible customer service. Started ok but has been going downhill to the point where poor prints, duplicates and printer errors feel like an intentional way to steal your money. Our bill used to be about $10 now frequently reaches $100.
Missed a 1st payment in about 10 years due unexpected bill coming out, and these crying crap inundated me with messages of payment, it’s ok they scam many pages out of customers and probably owe us more than we owe them, but seeing them parasite over a £5 payment is comical. Will be looking to get rid of this company ! It’s a con!
The concept of having new cartridges available is good but I would like to have a full set ready to use all the time. I get messages from your system saying that I will soon have to fit a new colour, In my opinion I should have that cartridge NOW not sometime in the future when some computer decides it is time. I know that I don't use the printer a lot but I am paying for a service which is not first class. The return bags should be supplied automatically when one is used not just when you are asked for it.
Supplying a set of cartridges must be more efficient and cheaper to deliver than one at a time. Your computer should be able to monitor that.
Always having ink at hand when required is a big help
It's a nightmare trying to cancel plan I am going round in circles trying to cancel.
Instant ink is a seamless and very convenient way of ensuring your printer is always ready when you need it.
A minimum efforrt of checking and changing cartradges is required. I love it. The facility to return the empty cartridges for recycling is the icing on the cake. All at a very competitive price.
I would recommend it to anyone. There is also the advantage that if anything goes wrong the on line connection and help is there.

Good to know that I don’t have to search around for good deals on ink. Support on hand if needed. However I would like to have a spare cartridge (just in case!) but it has been a long time since that has happened.

confident that when my ink is running low or I'm reaching my maximum no. of pages I will have a polite reminder and refills always arrive in good time, excellent and reliable service

Awful. Charged per page of print? Why bother with this? Just buy the ink. No option to buy out the cartridge, so its just wasteful. Complete nonsense.

Service works reasonably well for us. A bit more flexibility around the plans available would be nice, but generally the replacement inks arrive in good time and it feels like good value.

Not easy to find out how many pages printed per month, wait till run out and charge us more. Not very transparent.

Everything was ok but now it’s not allowing me to add my new printer . I cant understand why as it was ok . Getting help from customer service is none existed . Just get boxes to tick !!!

You buy the printer. You buy the ink. And yet you can’t properly use the printer and ink you’ve purchased without an ongoing subscription. How is this considered acceptable?
The Instant Ink model is incredibly restrictive and frustrating. You pay a minimum monthly fee even in months when you need to print absolutely nothing. Then, when you actually need to print a lot, your subscription may not cover it. The pages you didn’t use in previous months don’t simply accumulate indefinitely either, so you’re paying for capacity that can disappear before you need it.
And the worst part is when the printer itself doesn’t work properly. If it produces a bad or unusable page, that can still count towards your monthly printing allowance. If you have to print something several times before getting one usable page, you can lose multiple pages that you’ve paid for because HP’s own printer failed to do its job. Why should I have to contact HP every time this happens to try to recover pages from my allowance? It’s a huge burden on me and a waste of my time, especially considering how often this happens.
You have bought the printer, but you have limited freedom to actually use your own property. If you cancel the subscription, you can even be left with Instant Ink cartridges you’ve already paid for that you can no longer use.
The whole system feels like a trap designed to keep you paying whether you use the printer or not. Don’t print anything? Keep paying. Need to print a lot? Pay more. Printer malfunctions? Potentially lose pages you’ve paid for. Cancel? Lose access to the ink you’ve already bought.
Imagine if other companies did this. You buy an oven, but have to pay a monthly subscription to turn it on. You buy a fridge, but need a subscription to use the shelves. You buy a pair of headphones, but have to keep paying the manufacturer to hear through them.
It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous. This is what HP Instant Ink is doing.
People should be up in arms about this model. I’m seriously considering throwing my HP printer away and buying another brand. I wouldn’t even sell or give it away because I refuse to inflict this experience on somebody else.
I will never buy another HP printer and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this company when they are looking to buy a printer.

Very expensive service. They have used the standard marketing strategy the Shine, Temu, etc, cheap prices at the start. I have been client for nearly 5 years since 2021 and it was a good price service ratio, not cheap, not expensive. After 5 years it is a total rip off. Just cancelled the subscription. Bye bye.

I absolutely hate the subscription model for ink. I have ink but can’t use it because I’ve cancelled my subscription.
Totally predatory pricing.

Absolute rip off if you're a casual user. Some months I won't print anything, but some months I might print 20-30 pages. The rollover system is next to useless as it's capped, so if you do a larger printing session they take more on your subscription. As it was costing me a fortune and I'd easily paid more than it would have been to just buy a set of cartridges, I cancelled. Now the cartridges don't work despite having paid over the odds for them. Absolute rip off. Avoid.

Not sure whats wrong with this company
But the printer deal i had was so difficult as had a monthly page allowance but the printer would not print correctly so took about 10 pages to get one correct print
Then the paper they sent would not grip and got stuck so i said no paper- just ink subscription. I paused the payments as away but they charged me - when i called i was told the charge was for the paper - but i didn't have the paper subscription!
Called twice but nothing happened
Then spoke to a ‘manager ‘ called Jen’ who said she would cancel everything ask for a refund and email all issues immediately - nothing ! The only mail i got was saying more paper is being sent !!!
They have serious issues with staff and dont seem to be able to do anything
I recorded every call and will send to consumer rights as they have been charging me for nothing for years and seem incapable of listening understanding or acting like a professional company at all
Jenn wrote again with more incorrect facts and no escalation !! Unbeivable
Shameful conduct
They respond with this cut and paste answer saying call !!! But they dont listen what kind of ans is that !
Omg they have now done nothing apart from SEND MORE PAPER 😳 can anyone read in this company !

HP Instant Ink is a fantastic concept. Costs no more than buying the cartridges from a supplier and have never been let down by the service. Replacement cartridges always arrive in a timely fashion. It's easy to suspend account if copies are mounting up (and you are allowed to roll over copies which is great) and easy to reinstate once a balance of excess copies are depleted. The staff are always very supportive and patient. I am extremely happy with my account. Thank you HP.

Poor print quality
Dried up cartridges
Automated support wastes hours.
Always end up printing wasted half printed pages. That you cannot be re credited for.
Print allotments also use your credits.
What more information do you want? You haven't asked for any?
I'm not wasting all weekend with your ai chat again. I might give the printer another chance if your problem solving didnt take all day.
Now I can't even work out how to do a printer alignment page anymore. And even doing them uses print credits.
