Never Buy Another

As God is my witness, I will never buy another HP printer as long as I live! They work fine for a few days, then go wrong and the online moronic virtual asistant robot just takes you round in circles with standard responses. The only solution is to shell out more hard-earned cash buyng replacement print cartridges. I hope the company goes bust - they deserve it.

I bought 2 laptop Victus 2 year back

I bought 2 HP Victus laptops, 2 year back. Both Laptops got same issue i.e. display is not there in both laptops just in difference of 1-2 week time, which is also just after completion of two year (Warranty period), whereas i took extended warranty for 1 laptop, when i got it checked with HP technician, they informed me that this is damaged due to liquid spillage, so it will not be repaired under warranty. however I was 100% sure that there is no liquid spill on laptop, then HP team started to give excuses that it might be damaged due to room temprature or moisture. i dont understand, how this coincidence happened that both laptops faced same issue on almost same time, wheras both laptops were on different area. then HP team approched me for chargeable repair with reasonable quotation, which i was surprised to see for INR 58K, whereas i bought this laptop for INR 50k. Such a shameless act by HP team. i know that The mother board is cost pretty high, hence they denied to cover my laptop in extended warranty. i recommend not to buy HP product any more. My Case no. registered with HP 5164117675

Commercial grade Omen laptop

Commercial grade Omen laptop - directly from HP with carepack. Did not work from the start. Had a window to return it for repair when HP stated it would take 3-5 business days. That was August 2026. HP now saying November 2026 to get the laptop back. I already had to buy a new laptop. No one will call me back. HP is going down - very sad.

HP Instant Ink Turned a Frustrated Customer Into a Former Customer

Title: HP Instant Ink Turned a Frustrated Customer Into a Former Customer

I have owned a lot of technology over the years, and my HP DeskJet 4100 has easily been the most frustrating printer I have ever had the misfortune of owning.

The printer has repeatedly gone offline for no apparent reason. I have spent HOURS troubleshooting it and dealing with HP technical support just to accomplish the incredibly complicated task of… printing something.

Then there is HP Instant Ink.

I originally subscribed because it sounded convenient and reasonably priced. My monthly charge was approximately $19.99. It eventually became $21.99 per month, and I decided I was finished paying a monthly subscription just to use my printer.

So I cancelled.

That was when I discovered something every potential Instant Ink customer should understand BEFORE subscribing: the Instant Ink cartridges supplied through the program can be disabled when your subscription ends. There can still be ink physically sitting in those cartridges, but that does not mean you can continue using them after the subscription terminates.

I understand that HP discloses this in its terms. That doesn't make the customer experience any less infuriating.

The final bit of irony came when I attempted to contact HP through my account to complain. Instead of reaching customer support, I received an “Access Denied” page.

At that point, I made a very simple decision.

I did not resubscribe.
I did not buy $90+ worth of replacement HP cartridges.
I did not buy another HP printer.

I bought a Canon MegaTank.

HP has therefore managed to turn a customer who was paying them every month into a customer who will no longer give them money at all.

I have now contacted HP Canada directly and asked them to review my experience and the charges on my account. I'll update this review if their response gives me a reason to do so.

My advice to anyone considering an HP printer is simple: before you buy, research the price of replacement ink, read the Instant Ink cancellation terms carefully, and understand exactly what happens to your subscription cartridges if you cancel.

I wish I had.

The cost of this experience wasn't just the subscription or the printer. It was the hours of my time and frustration spent trying to make a printer reliably do the one job a printer is supposed to do.

HP finally solved that problem for me.

I bought a different printer.

Anti-Consumer Practices

Anti-Consumer Practices – Automatically Bricks Third-Party Ink Cartridges

am completely finished with HP and will never buy another product from this brand again. Their aggressive, anti-consumer practices have turned what should be my own hardware into a hostage situation.HP pushes mandatory 'Dynamic Security' firmware updates under the guise of security, but the actual purpose is to automatically block and brick perfectly fine third-party ink cartridges. They deliberately force you to buy their heavily marked-up, overpriced official ink or trap you in an ink subscription model. It is greed, plain and simple. I bought the printer, so I should choose what ink goes into it. Because of these anti-consumer tactics, HP has permanently lost my business.

*yes I asked AI for help w this review. But every word is true from my experience.

Buyer beware

Been using the same branded ink cartridges, forever in my HP printer. And then all of a sudden, due to a process change inside of HP those are not supported any longer. This is the printer that I fully paid for and then at the time the terms and condition said that I could use a non-HP branded ink cartridge. So I’m assuming HP got tired of not being able to screw everyone with an HP printer and change the policy unilaterally. The printer is in the garbage where it belongs with the rest of the garbage.

Very disappointing experience with HP…

Very disappointing experience with HP UK.
I ordered two monitors directly from the HP webshop. One arrived with a visibly misaligned panel/casing, which I reported to HP on the day of delivery and supported with photographs.
Despite this being a direct purchase from HP, support initially told me to contact the “reseller”. After I pointed out that there was no reseller involved, HP acknowledged that this advice was incorrect and then directed me to another HP sales-support link — which was broken.
So far, instead of simply arranging the return and replacement of a clearly defective product, I have been passed from one route to another without resolution.
For a brand-new product purchased directly from HP, I would have expected a straightforward replacement process, especially where the defect was reported immediately on delivery.
The hardware may be good when it arrives correctly, but the after-sales experience in this case has been extremely poor.

HP has the worst Customer Service ever

HP has the worst Customer Service ever. They refused to work with their customers. They can be very difficult. They want to send you through all these hoops and etc just for new printer and the printers are cheap anyway.

WHY CAN'T HP CORRECT THEIR RECORDS?

In April 2025 I purchased [not directly from hp] an HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e (A3 printer) with the option to have a free 3 year warranty, which I took advantage of - but it is not registered as such on my account.
Since June 2025 I have been trying to get hp to correct their records. Numerous cases have been opened - and most closed within 24 hours. No-one will take responsibility, even though I have an e-mail (from HP Global Promotion Services
bonuswarranty [email address]
 TechProtect GmbH for
HP Global Promotion Services)
confirming the 3 year warranty period and have provided this when I have FREQUENTLY written to hp on the subject.
Their customer service is pathetic: they just do not seem to care.
Since July they have now just stopped responding to my emails.
I am at my wits end!

The printer I purchased stopped …

The printer I purchased stopped working/interfacing with my computer within the first month. HP replaced this item with a refurbished item and passed it off as a new product. This unit didn't work from day 1. When I addressed this with HP and asked for a different model or refund, they refused. HP Smart Tank 5101 is a bad buy.

Very disappointing for a CHF 3,400…

Very disappointing for a CHF 3,400 professional machine

We purchased the **HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M776z** for our office as a significant upgrade from our 15-year-old Sharp machine. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing.

Before purchasing, we were able to speak quickly with an HP sales representative. One of our main questions was speed, and we were specifically reassured about the machine’s performance, with figures even provided to demonstrate how fast it would be.

What was not mentioned, however, was the amount of **heating, preparation and processing time the machine requires between jobs**.

Yes, once the printer actually starts printing, the pages come out quickly. Scanning itself can also be fast. But this is only part of the story. In normal office use, the time the machine takes to register a command, prepare itself and actually begin the job is far too long. The operating system/interface also feels surprisingly slow and unresponsive for a modern professional machine.

In practice, our **15-year-old Sharp was noticeably quicker and more efficient to use throughout the working day**.

For a machine costing approximately **CHF 3,400**, and one specifically sold to us as a serious professional upgrade, this is extremely frustrating. Printing speed figures alone do not reflect the actual user experience when so much time is lost waiting for the machine before and between jobs.

We expected a substantial improvement in productivity. Instead, we feel we have gone backwards.

Overall, we are extremely disappointed with the **HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M776z** and, based on our experience, **would not recommend it to professionals looking for a fast and responsive office printer**.

I am extremely disappointed with HP

I am extremely disappointed with HP. I received an all-in-one printer that arrived broken, and after more that 2 months , I am still waiting for a replacement, the defective printer is still sitting in my home, unusable, and yet I continue to be charged every month.

This has been a very frustrating and stressful experience, Customer service has not resolved the issue in a timely manner, and I feel completely letdown by this company. I would not recommend HP based on my experience.

Would be 0! Bought an expensive (£1000) laptop from them in 2021 - 2 year Guarantee. Battery life appalling from being brand new plus crackling when charger put into the laptop. John Lewis referred me to hp. Contacted them many times. Gave me completely useless processes to run through. Refused to take it in for checks or repair. I suppose on the plus side I still use it and it was compatible for the new Windows. Can only use it if it is plugged into mains. Still crackles a lot. Had an hp printer years ago and promised myself I would never by another hp printer - should have learnt my lesson! Nothing else hp for me!

Do NOT do the All-In-One printer…

Do NOT do the All-In-One printer plan!!! It's a scam!!! Conveniently my printer contact was up in June and the printer stopped working, BUT they kept charging me for pages in the print plan. I just called and canceled and asked for a refund of the 2 months and they said oh, we understand how that's frustrating but too bad. We have your money and we're not giving it back.even if you couldn't print anything for months. SCAM!!! Too bad...I love my HP computer but I will NEVER get an HP printer again.

I am extremely disappointed with HP envy printer 564628

I am extremely disappointed with HP after my experience with my HP ENVY 5646.
The printer is almost new and has been very lightly used. It works perfectly on my Dell laptop running Windows 10: I simply connect the USB cable and everything works immediately — printing and scanning, without any complicated installation or troubleshooting.
However, on my Windows 11 Pro 25H2 laptop, the same printer has become a completely different experience. Despite installing and reinstalling HP software and drivers, checking USB connections, Windows services, printer settings and scanner drivers, printing still fails and scanning is not properly available.
What is particularly frustrating is that Windows 11 actually detects the printer and scanner hardware, yet the printer still cannot operate correctly. The same physical printer works perfectly on Windows 10.
I have spent hours trying to solve a problem that should not exist with a perfectly functional printer.
I find it unacceptable that customers can be pushed toward replacing perfectly good hardware because of driver and software compatibility problems. If a printer still works perfectly, why should a customer have to replace it simply because they upgraded their operating system?

This is also disappointing from an environmental and sustainability perspective. Throwing away or replacing working electronic equipment because the manufacturer no longer provides a reliable software solution is unnecessary waste.
I have used HP products before, but after this experience I will seriously reconsider buying another HP printer — and potentially other HP products — in the future.
HP should provide proper long-term driver and operating-system support for its products instead of making customers feel that they need to buy new hardware every few years.
