Second worst computer I've owned second…

Second worst computer I've owned second only to Dell. I've owned 2 Surface computers, each of which lasted me 5-6 years. They went back and forth with me to school, a moved across states and everything in between. The first stopped charging, and the second when the screen finally cracked after being knocked to the floor by my dog. I went to replace my last Surface around September 2025, only to find they most were sold out and on back order indefintiely (yeah, back to school time). This should tell you what a great computer Surfaces are when they are sold out. I settled for getting a Lenovo - Yoga 7i 2-in-1 - Copilot+ PC - 16" 2K Touchscreen Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 7 256V 2024 - 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD. What a huge mistake! I ended up returned the first one within a week due to issues with the design flaw in the keyboard that made it impossible to see the key during the daylight. The "extra" lighting in Best Buy hid that fact. I've had my Lenovo for a year as of 2 days ago....6 months ago I started having a problem with the camera, I was unable to be seen when on Zoom classes - it would be black or half my view would be obscurred. I finally figured out the screen was loose and had shifted to cover the camera. When I pushed on the screen it popped back into place and the camera was good. The lid is VERY stiff and it is difficult to open, which I believe is the problem as you pratically have to wrench it open which has loosened the screen. Now, today it slid off the coffee table, with the lid closed and the whole screen is cracked. I regret 100% buying this computer!

Their products are so faulty!

What a piece of junk! Got a Lenovo computer less than 2 months ago and I've had issue after issue. Wouldn't restart because of a AC issue, keys randomly stop working, my internet connection crash's even though it works on other devices. Do NOT get Lenovo product, it is such a waste of your money. I will never ever be returning to Lenovo, and will be spreading the word to anyone who is hoping to buy a computer. Stay away, this company is trash

Won't give me a Windows OEM license key, which I paid for.

I bought a laptop in 2021. I installed Linux on it in 2026. It doesn't do what I need. I want the Windows OEM key I paid for, but the chat bot keeps saying I am out of warranty (irrelevant, as I've paid for my key), and keeps trying to sell me out-of-warranty services.

The forum is useless. Lenovo's support staff are useless.

Avoid this company. Their support is atrocious, their update policy (like Motorola, which they own) is beyond a joke, and let's not forget the time they installed Superfish on millions of laptops years ago.

I am deeply disappointed with my…

I am deeply disappointed with my experience with this merchant. On the website, they promised a delivery date of August 19th. After purchasing, that date was pushed back to October 10th.
When I demanded an explanation for a
6-week delay, they said they had low supply and changed the date again to a September 30th shipment then I hit a email saying it was going to be delivered September 3rd, and then it is suddenly tracked for September 8th.

A business should not be allowed to lure customers in with false delivery dates on their website only to completely move the goalposts afterward. This constant shifting caused a massive system glitch with my financing partner, Klarna, resulting in unexpected cancellations and reinstatements. While I am ultimately keeping the item out of necessity, the complete lack of reliability and scheduling transparency is unacceptable. I expect to be compensated for this terrible service. Also their customer service is horrible I contacted them for a week straight and kept being dismissed!

Lenovo Warranty Refused After Just 6 Months

One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I bought my laptop from their website. After just six months of use, the pivot/hinge mechanism became stuck, and when I attempted to rotate the screen, the mechanism broke and damaged the display. I contacted Lenovo customer service to request a warranty repair. However, without physically inspecting the laptop and based solely on the photos I provided, they decided that the issue was not covered by the warranty, because if the screen doesn't work, it's customer's fault! I was then told that I would have to pay to send the laptop in for an assessment and, if applicable, pay for the repair as well. I’d never pay to repair a damage caused by a hardware defect, I’d throw it away instead. I expected much better customer service and support from a brand which wants to to be seen as a quality brand.
I’ll never buy Lenovo again. Next time, I’ll choose a brand I can trust!

I ordered a replacement part and it was apparently shipped. But the tracking does not work and the order still says processing even though my email said it was shipped. I have called, emailed and tried chat and no one gets back to me or tells me what is going on with my order.
No information , no response . Never again will I deal or purchase from this company

Cursor jumped back

I had an annoying problem with my new Lenovo laptop a month after I bought it. I called tech support, we tried shaking my laptop, blowing compressed air under the keys, but still my cursor would jump back a few words or a line. Finally, they asked me to ship it to their repair center in Houston--all prepaid by Lenovo with my warranty. They reinstalled the operating system, and now it works perfectly again. Hooray!

I bought a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x OLED…

I bought a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x OLED Copilot + PC. The laptop was fine, it had a few glitches and crashes but I could live with it. My main issue with the laptop per se was the battery that didn't last more than 1.5 years, just enough to be outside of the warranty period. The battery life alone wouldn't be enough to put Lenovo on my 'never again' blacklist though, what did it for me was the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

In short, after I sent my laptop for repair on March 13, I only got it back on May 19 with a worse problem than when I sent as it wouldn't even turn on. During these 67 days of waiting, I had multiple frustrating contacts with Lenovo's customer service team. I was promised 3 times they would get back to me with an estimated time of return but they never followed-up, I was asked to pay for the repair twice, I found out that all the long waiting time could have been avoided because Lenovo was waiting for a part that was discontinued (they went for a compatible alternative in the end), and to make matters worse, they thought that offering me 3 months extra of warranty on my laptop was a fair compensation for the inconvenience (funny that they keep my laptop for nearly 2.5 months and think that 3 months of extra warranty compensates for anything).

Anyway, my laptop wasn't turning on and after more frustrating back and forth discussions, on June 11 Lenovo organized an onsite visit to fix my laptop. Basically I had to reorganize my whole day because they don't give an estimated time slot for the visit, you have to wait for them between 8am and 5pm. Of course I wasn't happy with that because I had to cancel plans and all, but having my laptop working again was a priority to me after gone 90 days without it. Now guess what? No one ever showed up! Close to 5pm I got a call from Lenovo saying that they needed to cancel the appointment because they didn't have the repair part available (after I waited for them the whole day).

In the end I decided to stop trying to deal with Lenovo and ask for help to the shop I purchased my laptop from. Happily this shop reimbursed me the full amount and I was able to buy a new laptop from another brand.

I should have checked Lenovo in trustpilot before buying my laptop because their score of 1.3 stars is full of complaints about the horrible customer service you can expect should something go wrong with your product.

Very disappointing experience

I bought this Lenovo laptop about 7 months ago, and it has had restart and freezing issues from the beginning. About a month ago, I sent it in for repair. Lenovo replaced the motherboard, reinstalled Windows, and updated the drivers, but the problem remained.
As soon as I got it back, the screen went black and froze twice. After spending hours reinstalling all my work programs, the same problem continued. It still freezes during normal use and when I use programs like Power BI and SQL Server.
What is even more frustrating is Lenovo’s customer service. Their only solution is to send it back for repair again. I already did that once, and it didn’t fix anything. I feel like they are more focused on closing the case than actually helping the customer.
I bought a brand-new laptop because I needed a reliable computer for work. Instead, I’ve lost work time, data, money, and a lot of energy dealing with this issue.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not buy this laptop again, and I would not recommend Lenovo either. I expected much better customer service and support from a company like Lenovo.

FRAUD COMAPNY WANT FULL REFUND

I purchased Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5 Gen 10 Ryzen 7 735HS 16GB 512GB laptop for rupees 63,526 with 3 years onsite premium care ADP warranty. Within 5 months, multiple issues arose with the laptop.

I sent 1,000 emails to all Lenovo officials, and even within one month, I reported the issues but was denied a refund. I want my full refund immediately. My laptop serial number is PW0LLC7E. I request that my full hard-earned money be refunded immediately, fully, without any deduction.

In every visit, more defects were found by the visiting engineer. Worst service.

I want a full refund immediately.

Slow speed hanging freezing red light issues all still facing

User's recommendation: FRAUD COMPANY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER BUY LENOVO I AM ALREADY REGRETTING.

THEY DENIED MY REFUND ONLY SAID JUST REPAIR I WANT FULL REFUND ONLY NOW NO MORE REPLACEMENT OR REPAIRS ONLY WANT FULL REFUND IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT ANY DEDUCTIONS

I sent my Legion Go S in for Warranty…

I sent my Legion Go S in for Warranty repair. I got it back the first time only partially fixed, and had to send it down again two days later. Supposedly the second time they found a "bio hazard" so now they will neither repair or replace my device. This is totally unacceptable to me this is more of a ploy to not fix it and to force me to buy a new one.
Of course for a company like Lenovo they are more concerned with the bottom line and shareholders. Who cares about the consumer when the profit margin is there. I WILL NEVER purchase another Lenovo product again.
This company is not worth my time or money!! No matter how insignificant this may be. I AM however telling my family and friends never buy Lenovo ever again.

Fleet evaluation: ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 AMD camera failed on day 3

**Fleet evaluation: ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 AMD camera failed on day 3**

I’m evaluating a **Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 AMD (21WXCTO1WW, 32GB/1TB)** as a possible production laptop platform. (350 Unit Deploy)

I’m a systems integrator and have deployed **10,000+ systems over roughly 20 years**, mostly Intel-based Lenovo business systems. Lenovo’s ThinkPad reliability has historically been excellent for us.

This AMD evaluation unit looked great initially: good performance, upgraded brighter display, clean Device Manager, diagnostics and benchmarks all good.

Then on **day 3**, before I had even used the camera, the integrated webcam disappeared.

Device Manager showed:

**Unknown USB Device — Device Descriptor Request Failed, Code 43**

Windows Camera could not detect a camera.

Troubleshooting:

* Camera enabled in BIOS
* Disable Integrated Camera in BIOS → Code 43 device disappears
* Re-enable camera → Code 43 returns
* Restored Lenovo’s original factory image from Acronis backup → same failure
* Full cold power reset → same failure

At that point this was clearly not my Windows install or a missing driver. The failure followed the integrated camera hardware path.

For us, that matters. We support legal environments where **Zoom and remote court appearances are mandatory**, so a dead camera is a production-impacting failure.

I returned the system for a full refund and ordered one more identical AMD unit for testing.

To be clear, I am **not blaming AMD for the camera failure**. Lenovo built and QC’d the finished system.

But after 15+ years of excellent ThinkPad experience (Intel Version), having one of my first serious AMD ThinkPad evaluation units suffer a hardware failure in 3 days is a major strike against considering this platform for a **100+ endpoint rollout**.

The replacement gets another chance.

But right now, Lenovo’s AMD platform has a lot of trust to earn.

Premium Name, Budget Execution: Brand-New ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 Fails Out of the Box

I purchased a brand-new Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 expecting the legendary structural engineering and rock-solid reliability that the ThinkPad brand has built its reputation on for decades. As a researcher, I need a dependable machine for daily computational prototyping and writing. Instead, this laptop has delivered nothing but frustration from week one.

The Issue: Complete Mechanical and Hardware Failure. Within just days of unboxing the laptop, the lid open/close mechanism began heavily malfunctioning. The hardware fails to register when the lid opens, leaving me staring at a completely black, unresponsive screen even after attempting full system diagnostics, Lenovo Vantage updates, and standard driver troubleshooting. A laptop's fundamental job is to wake up and work when you open it. This machine fails at step one.

Service and Depot Nightmare: What makes this experience unacceptable is the service failure. Lenovo dispatched an on-site technician for a repair, but the intervention completely failed to resolve the issue. The laptop has now been sent away to a repair depot for further service. When you spend a significant amount of hard-earned money on a brand-new premium brand, you expect a pristine tool, not a compromised machine that spends its first month of ownership in a repair facility. Past experiences have taught me that when a laptop suffers from fundamental structural or motherboard-level defects right out of the box, the issues rarely stop.

Verdict: A Devastating Loss of Brand Trust.
The ThinkPad line used to represent elite business-grade durability. Seeing a next-generation model fail immediately due to a faulty lid mechanism and inadequate quality control is incredibly disappointing. My confidence and trust in Lenovo as a reliable laptop manufacturer have completely bottomed out.

If you are a professional, academic, or researcher who absolutely cannot afford system downtime, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Avoid the ThinkPad E-series and look toward brands that prioritize strict quality assurance over cutting corners.

Blatantly false delivery advertising on website…

Blatantly false advertising on website for order fulfillment and delivery. Product advertised as "get it by [9d from order]". Product not even shipped by that date, and I discovered order fulfillment comes from China. Contacting customer service when order did not arrive on quoted dated resulted in promise to expedite. A week later, still not even shipped. Customer support will not commit to how long it will take, and when pressed, quoted "1-4 weeks". This means it may not arrive until almost 5 weeks after the promised date. Appallingly bad business practice and service. Would never buy anything from them again.

If you're dealing with a return

If you're dealing with a return, I would strongly recommend submitting a credit card dispute rather than continuing to waste your time dealing with this company. The level of customer service and the way they handle returns and refunds are completely unacceptable.

I will never purchase from this company again. What should be a simple return can quickly turn into a frustrating nightmare. Even something as basic as cancelling an item seems to be beyond their ability to handle properly. Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.
