This is the worst delivery company I have seen in my entire life. Today they called me about a very specific package, which I mentioned I don't need, as I had already cancelled it on Amazon. Now they have cancelled all my shipments. How unprofessional they are!!

Very disappointing delivery experience.

I ordered a personalized Stanley cup as a gift, and the parcel was shipped with DPD. The delivery instructions clearly stated that if the parcel did not fit in the mailbox, it should be left in front of the apartment door.

Instead, the driver left the parcel on the ground floor in the common entrance area of the apartment building, where anyone entering the building could access it. The delivery photo itself confirms this.

When the recipient arrived home at 12:56, just 1 hour and 14 minutes after the delivery at 11:42, the parcel had already disappeared. It appears to have been stolen after being left in this unsecured location.

I contacted DPD and asked them to investigate whether the delivery instructions had actually been followed. Unfortunately, they simply replied that they considered the parcel delivered under the drop-off authorisation, without addressing the fact that the parcel was not left at the apartment door as instructed.

This was a personalized item that cannot simply be replaced, making the situation even more frustrating.

Customers should be aware that if their parcel is left in a communal area instead of the agreed delivery location, they may have little to no recourse afterwards.

DPD Germany is the worst shipping company I have ever been to!! I have lived in Germany for 7 years and have unfortunately struggled with them from day one. If you want to order something that DPD will deliver you have to be home from work. Everyone else manages to deliver packages to your door, to your neighbor's or to a parcel box. DPD does not do this. In addition, they are very rude and unhelpful. I will NEVER order anything from them from now on!!

STAND AWAY FROM DPD!!!!!

Worst company I have ever come across, from now on I am not buying any products from the companies who have tied up with DPD as a delivery partner, after waiting for long time and reaching out for my product which is still sitting in their warehouse. They tell me my address is not right and I have to send it again and from then on they will try to deliver it again. Such a bad service, maybe this is my 5th time I am facing this problem only with DPD !!

Over the past 10 years, DPD has consistently provided the worst delivery experience I’ve had with any courier company.

On multiple occasions, parcels were left in unsafe locations without my consent. Many times, the tracking falsely claimed that my address could not be found or that nobody was home, even though someone was present. As a result, I often had to collect parcels from a pickup point far away, or deliveries were delayed for no valid reason.

Unfortunately, these are not isolated incidents but a recurring pattern over many years. I understand that individual drivers can make mistakes, but the frequency of these issues suggests a broader problem with service quality and accountability.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend DPD.

If I could give dpd minus 10 stars I would. Never once have I encountered a delivery company that is this incompetent (and that's saying a lot because Hermes and DHL aren't much better, at least not here in Germany) and the amount of times I've lost packages or they arrive extremely late because they were somehow lost or rerouted along the way for no reason at all is baffling. How do they stay in business? You have to call a million times just to get a wishy-washy answer, and whether or not you'll ever actually see your package is a gamble.
Today I received an email that my package was ready to be picked up at the kiosk. I go there, he says the driver wasn't even there at all today. My package isn't there. So where is it? DPD customer service also doesn't know, says I should check back on Monday because they're all finished working by 2pm today.

Two packages containing expensive products completely vanish. Within one week, two packages go missing and are completely untraceable. DPD email resposne was to contact the vendor. Both vendors send the products - DPD were the ones to lose them and can provide no context as to the whereabouts.

The worst courrier in Germany. Lost packages, unupdated statuses, huge delays.
Unreliable services

After a year in Germany, I can say that over twenty parcels that where supposed to be handled by DPD, not a single one was successfully delivered. At best, I had to call them to understand where the parcel was, at worst the parcel was simply lost. Today's experience is the latest : a 20 Kg parcel, supposed to be delivered home. I work remotely so I can receive it. DHL was supposed to handle the second part of the order (25 kg this time). DPD informed me an hour after the estimated delivery time window that the parcel was in a pickup store 40 min away for my home. "We missed you". They didn't even try. And it's always the case. I never had so many problem with a single delivery company before.

I would give you minus stars but can not.

How this company is still in business is baffling to me. They say they bring the package I follow them all day and when they get to my door they say I was not home. I call to hear they scanned it as if they were there but the package never left the deposit. Stop using dpd break them down to crumbles until they learn and adjust or simply disappear. The disregard the management has for the way this company treats its clients is by far the worst part. Do better or step out.

Very long. It's been 5 days since the parcel should have already been delivered. It takes more than 3 weeks. Terrible service.

IKEA order delivery failure .
Same as the IKEA oder I made last year..DPD failed.

If DPD is the courier - I will never order online with IKEA again.

THE WORST Courier Service EVER! Not once have they delivered a package to our address. You always get the notification that it will be delivered between certain hours on a certain day. You wait at home for the package and the next email is to pick it up at their outlet which is always the furtherest away from where you live. They don't even try to deliver to you. DO NOT USE DPD!

Very disappointing experience with DPD Germany. I have been living at the same address for almost five years, and I have received hundreds of deliveries from different courier companies without any issues. This is the first time a package has simply "disappeared" from in front of my door. According to DPD, the parcel was delivered, but I never received it. The issue remains unresolved, and despite not receiving the package, I am still expected to pay almost €250 for items that never reached me. What frustrates me most is that I am left bearing the financial loss for a delivery that I never received. I expected a much more thorough investigation and better customer support. Based on this experience, I would be very reluctant to choose DPD again.

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung mit DPD Deutschland. Ich wohne seit fast fünf Jahren an derselben Adresse und habe in dieser Zeit Hunderte von Lieferungen von verschiedenen Paketdiensten erhalten, ohne jemals ein Problem zu haben. Dies ist das erste Mal, dass ein Paket einfach vor meiner Haustür „verschwunden“ ist. Laut DPD wurde das Paket zugestellt, ich habe es jedoch nie erhalten. Das Problem ist bis heute nicht gelöst, und obwohl ich die Sendung nie bekommen habe, soll ich nun für Waren im Wert von fast 250 € bezahlen. Besonders frustrierend ist, dass ich am Ende den finanziellen Schaden tragen soll, obwohl ich die Lieferung nie erhalten habe. Ich hätte eine deutlich gründlicheren Untersuchung und einen besseren Kundenservice erwartet. Nach dieser Erfahrung werde ich DPD künftig nach Möglichkeit vermeiden.

The worst delivery company by far. Never use this business. Ive been living for 13 years now in germany and Not a single time have they delievered on time, always with some excuse to not make the time or destination. They always write they couldnt find the adress, when they not even tried, and make up excuses even tho sending a package is not cheap. When they "try" to deliver they dont even ring the bell and its sad that in 13 years that hasnt even changed. If I could give them negative stars I would, incredibly incompetent and downright worst company for delivery.

They somehow are never able to find our house. Every other courier company is able to but not DPD.
If they do deliver, it is delivered about 3 blocks away to the wrong address and only the goodness of the neighbours means I got the package.
Again today, 1 stop away and then they cannot find my house supposedly. Not even delivered to a nearby pack station. Absolutely useless.
I wish merchants would stop using DPD.
Never seen such incompetence in my life!!

On day 2 of them saying my package will be delivered today. Almost 1700. The worst part is the "live" tracking hasn't moved all day. Avoid shipping anything with this company at all cost. It's too bad I cannot give 0 stars, because they only had one job. Deliver a package, which is apparently outside of their ability. We'll let's hope for day 3 maybe.
