Disappointing Pet Care Experience, but Customer Support Made It Right. I booked Meowtel for seven visits while my husband and I were away, trusting that our cat would receive consistent, attentive care. Unfortunately, my experience with the sitter was extremely disappointing.

Several visits appeared significantly shorter than the 20 minutes booked, communication was inconsistent, and I received only one photo throughout the reservation. On our final day, the sitter reported completing two visits, but our door access and camera records supported only one.

When we returned home, we found an unscooped litter box, dirty food dishes, and water that appeared not to have been refreshed. Our cat was frightened and hiding in the basement. What upset me most was knowing that a living animal, completely dependent on someone else's care, may not have received the attention we paid for.

When I questioned the sitter about the discrepancies, her response was defensive and unprofessional. She eventually blocked communication while one scheduled visit remained. To make matters worse, she subsequently posted comments about me that I believe were misleading and unfair.

To Meowtel's credit, customer support took my concerns seriously. After reviewing my documentation, they issued a full refund to my original payment method and assured me they would address the situation with the sitter. I appreciated their response and willingness to resolve the financial aspect of my complaint.

However, this experience raises serious concerns about sitter screening, accountability, verification of completed visits, and how customer disputes are handled publicly. A refund cannot undo the anxiety of being away from home and questioning whether your pet is being properly cared for.

I appreciate Meowtel's customer service, but I would be extremely hesitant to trust the platform again without stronger safeguards. Pet owners deserve peace of mind, transparency, and confidence that the care they book is the care their animals actually receive.

We had a great experience since the vetting was already done; I was able to get a kind and considerate vet tech to be my Cat sitter. They did a wonderful job, and we will be choosing her again.

For just about a year now I’ve been entrusting my fur baby Whiskers to Meowtel. The sitters have been kind, caring, professional. Rebecca is very proactive with pictures and videos of her visits. My cat and I both truly appreciate her and her quality time she gives to Whiskers when I’m traveling.

My Rocky is a Senior cat with diabetes , and Robin was so gentle with him. She came twice a day to give him his insulin shot. She was very punctual & dependable. She’s very personable, sweet, kind & a caring person. I would hire her again!

Meowtel's site is extremely user friendly and contains everything one needs to access for booking a pet sitter. Sections for communicating with the sitter, photos & descriptions of sitters covering the potential client's area, anecdotal info, contact info, easy-to-use-booking, and more. My sitter, Patricia, was a 12+ out of 10. My cats bonded with her quickly, even my shy one who doesn't bond with any stranger. She did everything requested of her & more. I am so glad I found Meowtel and will use them again the next time I need to book. I'd use the same sitter, of course. She was wonderful.

Anytime we need to leave for a long trip, this app makes it so easy to find a great sitter that we trust. The sitters on this app are professional and loving. We've had bad experiences finding people on our own, and this takes out the guesswork.

Renee has been an outstanding pet sitter since day one. It is easy to reserve her services through the Meowtel app, and easy to communicate with her as well. We have hired her multiple times over the last year; she always follows our instructions to the letter, and spends quality time with our cat. Our cat likes Renee, which is not always the case for our cat when it comes to new people.

I’ve hired a few sitters for my cats through Meowtel and have received excellent service. My cats have been well taken care of and are happy. I have received excellent documentation of each visit. I appreciate that the sitters are insured and vetted also.

Jess was fantastic. We met with her before our reservation to meet Gilbert and Baker. She sent us updates and pictures each day. I would reccomend Meowtel to anyone needing a sitter. This is our second time with them.

I used Meowtel when I was going out of town for an extended period of time and while I was nervous about hiring someone online, the sitter we chose was great. She was so sweet and my cats really liked her. I got photo updates every day and when a relative or friend of mine stopped in they noted everything was taken care of and the apartment was left clean. I will definitely use them again, and I really appreciated the additional layers of security they have in hiring compared to some other sites.

Easy website to use. Recommended pet sitter was exceptional.
