Absolutely useless
Do not buy I have been an Audi customer for many years and, until recently, fully intended to continue buying Audi vehicles and renewing my Audi warranty.
My 2022 Audi Q7 developed a fault with the USB-C ports. During my investigations, I discovered that Audi had issued a technical bulletin covering a known condition where USB sockets can become loose, pushed into the housing or shear off the internal PCB across multiple Audi models, including the Q7. Audi's own bulletin acknowledges this failure mode and describes the repair process.
Despite this, Audi refused my warranty claim, concluding that the damage must have been caused by "external influence" rather than a manufacturing defect. Audi's technical bulletin also states that this type of damage is considered external influence and is not covered under warranty.
My concern was never simply that Audi declined the claim. My concern was that throughout the process I do not believe Audi demonstrated how customer misuse occurred in my specific case.
Audi demonstrated that the ports were damaged.
What Audi never demonstrated was that I caused that damage.
I escalated the matter through the dealership, Audi UK's Executive Office, senior management and ultimately the Managing Director's office. Whilst I appreciated the opportunity for a further review, the outcome ultimately repeated the original conclusion and I never felt that an independent reassessment of the evidence had taken place.
At that point, I realised this was no longer about an £800 repair. It was about whether a loyal customer could have confidence that Audi would objectively review a disputed warranty claim.
For me, the answer was no.
What I find most disappointing is that Audi was prepared to lose a long-standing customer over a relatively modest warranty repair rather than provide compelling evidence to support its position or give the customer the benefit of the doubt.
Unfortunately, the process left me with the impression that protecting a predetermined position was more important than genuinely reviewing the facts.
As a result:
I will not be renewing my Audi warranty.
I will not be purchasing another Audi.
I no longer have confidence that Audi will stand behind its products when there is a disagreement over the cause of a failure.
If you are considering buying an Audi, my advice is simple:
Don't just look at the vehicle. Ask yourself how confident you are that Audi will support you when something goes wrong and there is a dispute over a warranty claim. That is when you discover what owning an Audi is really like.an Audi, it isn't worth it
Very disappointed in the Audi I brought never again would I buy from this manufacturer.
Very disappointed in the Audi I brought new in October 2025 after moving away from Land Rover . In October 2025 I picked up my all electric q6 e tron . The car after a few days was back in the garage with issues and had since been back in the garage a further 7 times . Issues include not charging , doors not opening (major safety issue if in accident) boot opening while driving or not opening at all. Dash board warning lights , phone not connecting to car . The car has been in to the dealership Tamworth and Solihull several times on occasions keeping the car 3-5 days to be returned with the same problems . Very poor built cars , poor customer service , would never purchase another Audi unreliable and feeling very unsafe driving a vehicle with so many issues .
Perfect
Amazing customer service in Harold Wood Audi
They are so helpful all the time and with the service department, they have a lady in reception who is so lovely and welcoming.
Minus stars?
It should be possible to give 'minus stars' when dealing with Audi. The company should be ashamed at the proportion of customers giving a single star. Nothing will change and there is no point complaining - the majority of people posting are only too well aware that the motor trade is bent from the executives at VW condoning fiddled fuel figures to the back street dealer selling clocked cars. Good riddance!
My experience with Audi Breakdown…
My experience with Audi Breakdown Assistance has been extremely disappointing, especially considering I own an Audi R8 and expected a level of service that matched the brand.
The courtesy vehicle process was poorly managed from start to finish. My replacement vehicle was delivered a day late. Initially, I was offered an Audi A6, which I was willing to accept, but I also said I would happily take a Q7 or any other premium vehicle. Instead, I was told that nothing suitable was available.
This is particularly frustrating because I specifically need a premium vehicle to attend an upcoming wedding and a graduation. It is unreasonable to expect an R8 owner to accept a significant downgrade when these events were made clear to Audi.
Communication was equally poor. I spent 25 minutes waiting to speak to Audi Assist, only to be told that the advisor’s system wasn’t working. When they attempted to call me back, there was nobody on the other end of the line.
To make matters worse, I then spent around two hours at Enterprise waiting for a courtesy car. As there were no suitable Audi or Volkswagen premium vehicles available, I asked whether I could have a premium vehicle from another manufacturer. John from Audi Assist was very helpful and even emailed Enterprise confirming that another premium brand could be provided. Despite this, Enterprise refused, claiming they would be fined if they supplied a different manufacturer.
The only positive part of this experience was John, who genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, his efforts were undermined by poor coordination between Audi Assist and Enterprise.
For a premium brand like Audi, particularly when supporting owners of flagship models such as the R8, this level of customer service falls well below expectations. Long waits, poor communication, delays in providing a courtesy vehicle, and inconsistent information have left me extremely disappointed. I expected a premium ownership experience, but what I received was anything but.
Absolute shocking service from Audi Oxford
Absolute shocking service from the point of sale to collection of my brand new e-tron GT.
Too many failures to list but this dealership is incompetent , untrustworthy , they Lie and never return calls at all management levels.
A price and extras are agreed in writing and then it’s clearly demonstrated that higher management want to delay things to frustrate the customer (me) to hopefully get me to cancel the order. Told the car was in stock and on its way numerous times from a group dealership - 50 miles away and it never was until I was made to drive for three hours to demand action from the dealership group manager. No apology offered and still the whole package has not been fully delivered after collection which took two months when I was told it would be two weeks at most. I was constantly lied to , and even on collection and the appalling handover that was given I was what can only be described as blackmailed by their business manager Jonathan Heathcote who told me in front of the sales executive that if I left a poor score on the Audi UK survey which I would receive in 72 hrs it will only make the delivery of the outstanding consumables and products harder for me to obtain and delays will be put in as a result. What also makes it worse is when I received the first PCP quote the business manager had increased the agreed price by £13,000.
All above especially the blackmail which was recorded and much more has been noted down as evidence for Audi UK and the ombudsman when I write up the appalling treatment I have received from this car dealership and share with them.
I bought a brand new Audi Q4 etron last…
I bought a brand new Audi Q4 etron last year and it was the worst mistake I’ve ever made !!! The salesman I bought it off must have been smoking something good cos the mileage he told me I would get I’ve never got anywhere near on a 100% charge no matter what conditions etc…
Now for the last 3/4 months I’ve got a charging fault which means I can’t charge my car at home instead I have to pay extortionate prices at public chargers!!! Audi are aware of this and say it’s a software issue and that they are awaiting a fix for but apparently it’s quite common and il just have to wait until there is a fix through a software update !!!
The customer services are absolutely awful you pay a higher price for a supposed premium brand car but in reality it’s awful and now I can’t use the charger that costs about £2.50 instead I’m paying between £35-£45 il never buy Audi again 😡
Audi Repairs
I have been a long standing regular customer of Audi Sheffield. Recently, during a MOT/service experienced a most unfortunate incident, following which the car could only be released after a few days, with a pass MOT.
Sometime, soon afterwards a noise erupted from underneath the car & on investigation multiple damaged parts were found. There was no good explanation for this damage in such a short time.
I raised the issue with Audi UK Customer Services who communicated with Audi Sheffield. Thankfully they agreed for the repairs, which was done without much delay.
I found Chris Franklin the newly appointed Head of Business to be approachable, understanding & polite. I am grateful to him for authoring repairs. The staff in Audi Sheffield are welcoming & friendly. I would specially like to mention Dominic & Jacob, who were very helpful in ensuring the repair to be done as soon as possible,& advising of any other work required.
I am pleased with the service provided & will continue to
take the car to Sheffield Audi whenever required.
I am extremely disappointed with the…
I am extremely disappointed with the service and after-sales support I have received from Audi regarding my 2019 Audi Q3.
I purchased this vehicle brand new from Audi Westrand and have remained a loyal customer by having it serviced exclusively by the dealership since the day I bought it.
While the vehicle was still covered under the Audi warranty, I repeatedly reported gearbox issues. Unfortunately, my concerns were not addressed, and no meaningful action was taken. Now that the gearbox has failed outside of the manufacturer's warranty, the repair quotation is an astonishing R166,000. My AA Warranty will only contribute R21,000, leaving me with an enormous financial burden for an issue I reported while the vehicle was still under warranty.
To make matters worse, when my vehicle was returned to me after being at the dealership, the front grille had been damaged. It was not damaged when I handed the vehicle over. Despite this, Audi has refused to accept responsibility for either the gearbox issue or the damage caused to my vehicle while it was in their care.
I have also approached the Motor Industry Ombudsman in the hope of receiving assistance, but unfortunately I have not received any meaningful support.
As a customer who invested in the Audi brand and remained loyal by servicing my vehicle through the dealership, I expected far better customer service, accountability, and support. Instead, I have been left feeling ignored, frustrated, and deeply disappointed.
I am sharing my experience in the hope that Audi South Africa will take this matter seriously, investigate what has happened, and provide a fair resolution. Customers should have confidence that legitimate concerns raised during a warranty period are properly investigated and that vehicles are returned in the same condition in which they were received.

Dont buy an Audi Approved Used car
Harold Wood Audi sold us a Approved Used Q3. We took the carto Wimbledon Audi on 8th June 2026 to fix a leaking roof under warranty. 6 faults were identified and Audi warranty paid just 1 as they said all the others were pre sale issues.
There was a leaky roof, rodent damage and unserviced parts going back to 2023. Harold Wood Audi sold us an unserviced car with faults and have not responded to almost daily calls and emails. No payment offer. No repair offer. No refund offer. It is now 6th July.
Absolutely useless Lookers Newcastle
Absolutely useless Lookers Newcastle! No reply, nothing, I think they think If they ignore people they’ll just go away. Never buy a new Audi again and I’ve bought my last three from them.
I honestly cannot recommend Five Oaks…
I honestly cannot recommend Five Oaks Audi based on my experience.
Every time my car has been in for repairs, it has come back with more problems than it went in with. Instead of fixing issues properly the first time, I've had to make repeated visits, wasting my time and leaving me with very little confidence in the workmanship.
What has been just as disappointing is the customer service. On every visit, I've been made to feel like I'm an inconvenience simply for expecting my car to be repaired correctly. Rather than feeling valued as a customer, I leave feeling frustrated and unwelcome.
To make matters worse, they seem happy to charge for the smallest items, yet the standard of service doesn't come close to justifying the cost. When you're paying premium prices, you expect premium service, and unfortunately that has not been my experience.
As a business, we currently have three Audi vehicles in our fleet. Because of the poor service we've received from Five Oaks Audi and the lack of confidence we now have in the brand, we've made the decision to sell all three and move to another manufacturer. That's a significant decision, but one we feel has been forced upon us.
This dealership has completely destroyed my confidence in Audi. I wouldn't recommend Five Oaks Audi to anyone looking for the level of service you would expect from a premium brand.
If I could score less than 1 I would
If I could score less than 1 I would, my vehicle has failed 3 times since purchased at the end of 2025. A brand new A5 saloon. The car is absolutely rubbish, low quality, low grade, completely below what I have come to expect of the Audi brand. Having gone from a 2021 reg Q5 to a 2025 A5 the difference is unbelievable. The drive, cabin quality, the feel. Genuinely the only thing positive was the sales advisor at Audi Coventry. I bought the car because of him. He is a true legend but deserves to work for a quality brand.
'Approved Used' worthless...short sighted cost cutting
I've purchased and had serviced by Audi, many approved used cars over the years, from A3, A5, TT, A7, to S3, so was excited to be collecting my dream Audi RS7 on Dec 23rd 2025 for ~£60k with 43k miles. With it being an approved Audi, I had peace of mind and didn't think twice about the standard. However, on handover I was genuinely shocked at the condition of the bodywork. Rear wheel arches were peppered in stone chips, and there were other chips and scratches, which I argued should have been covered during bodywork prep. I was told it was to be expected and there was 'insufficient margin in the car' to prepare it to any higher standard. As I'd traveled a long distance to collect, I accepted a £200 reduction in price to get the bodywork polished myself as goodwill and to 'stop me giving them a bad review'. Also instead of a set of rubber mats, I'd agreed as part of the deal, I was surprised to find only a front set of ill fitting A6 mats...presumably there wasn't enough margin. On arriving home and taking it to a body shop, I learned the cost to respray the wheel arches alone was ~£1000. The drivers door also had a bad rattle, as if the window was loose. There was also over spray on the tyre valves/caps from the alloy re-furb and the drivers door had a dent that I hadn't spotted. The ventilated seats, now it's warmer I've realised don't work properly. All in all, a very sour taste. The icing on the cake however, and what has prompted this review, was that the brake wear indicator started coming on intermittently having done only ~1500 miles/3.5 months after collecting. On the advise of Lincoln, I took it to my local dealer, Watford Audi, who showed me the pads were all at ~ 5mm friction material remaining, which raised eye brows. But the trigger for the warning was a frayed sensor wire on a OS front pad. They quoted over £1000 to have the front pads replaced and suggested I contact Lincoln for some good-will, as although a perishable item, pads should have lasted more than 1500 miles and the frayed wire was possibly a warranty issue and could have been visible on inspection. On the bright side, Watford fixed the window rattle after finding a bolt was missing inside the drivers door window assembly. Despite me sending the report from Watford, Lincoln Audi told me it 'met their standards' and couldn't help with the brakes. Apparently I 'might have taken it to a race track'!! In isolation, I perhaps would have accepted the brakes, but this was the straw that broke the camels back - really rubbish experience with Lincoln Audi. I couldn't help but remember those words from the sales manager 'not enough margin'. They asked me to escalate to Audi UK, which I did on 19th May. Sadly, Audi UK have been next to useless (I'm assuming they are inundated with other complaints) and I'm still waiting as of 30th June. Over 1.5 months since the original complaint.... I know VAG are struggling with margins, you can see that in the quality of latest interiors, but this is so short sighted and I certainly won't accept the 'Approved Audi' peace of mind again. What is it exactly that I paid a premium for? I advise you to thoroughly check the condition of any approved used purchase from Lincoln and ask for evidence that it has had a thorough preparation, as it seems once you've collected, there will be no level of good will or customer service. Perhaps it's because I'm not local. Either way, a rubbish experience.
Audi need to get a grip on charging service…
Audi need to get a grip on the service provided by their charging partner Elli. I had an issue with the "transaction" not being authorised. Telephoned the help line and despite my not being able to understand the agent he spent almost 30 mins trying to resolve the issue which then took another agent 2 seconds to fix! Tried to have a conversation about the difference in charges as I had to use my credit card to pay for the charge rather than the discounted Audi card, and they did not want to know! Can't escalate on the call, no interest in sorting out. Really very annoying. This is on top of the fact you can't open and lock the doors using the Audi app! Unbelievable!
I would strongly recommend against buying Audi
I would strongly recommend thinking very carefully before buying a vehicle from Stratstone.
In my experience, the customer service was extremely poor, and I felt that agreements made during the purchase process were not honoured. I was also disappointed to discover that the company is no longer a member of the Motor Ombudsman, which influenced my confidence in how my complaint would be handled.
Throughout my dealings with the business, I felt I was met with underhand tactics rather than a genuine effort to resolve the issues. As an individual customer, it felt impossible to challenge a large company with significant legal resources.
Overall, I found the experience frustrating, stressful, and deeply disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying a vehicle from Stratstone and would encourage others to do thorough research before making a purchase.
DO NOT EVER BUY AN AUDI!
DO NOT EVER BUY AN AUDI!! We took receipt of a brand new Audi Q6 Etron in November 2025. 24 hours after receiving it, warnings appeared on the dashboard. The vehicle went into the workshop, 2 days after it was returned to us, the same faults reappeared. Back to the workshop it went, and 8 months later, we are still yet to get it back. We have had a series of different hire cars over that period. When Audi finally realised they had incurred more than £12k of hire car fees, they replaced the hire cars with a Q6 Etron from their own fleet. Two days later, the same errors appeared on the dashboard of this replacement car. I called Audi One Mobility but the person there said there was no point in getting the AA out as they'd only reset the sensors and the errors will appear again. Better to take it to the workshop. By this time, I'm completely fed up with having to sort out replacement vehicles, getting used to driving different cars all the time. I head to the workshop but they've all gone home for the day. I'm at the end of my tether with this 8 month ordeal. I speak to the receptionist who can clearly see how upset I am, she speaks to the only on site managers who are in the sales department. They don't even bother to come out of their office to speak to me, they just send her back to speak to me. This is a truly appalling example of leadership. I appreciate as sales, they're not able to help but to make the poor receptionist come and face an upset customer, demonstrates a clear lack of leadership and empathy towards my situation. It would have been far better for them to come out, acknowledge how i'm feeling, demonstrate some empathy and commit to escalating this on Monday when the workshop team are back in the office. I left my details with the receptionist so that the workshop manager can give me a call on Monday.
Monday arrives, they wait until 5.25pm to call me. Again, leaving it to the workshop receptionist to call me back, and she'd left it until after her manager had gone home so again no way to escalate. They ask me to bring the car into the workshop which I refuse to do because I am sick and tired of inconveniencing myself over this matter. If they want the car, they need to collect it. They say if I can't bring it in, i'll have to call Audi One Mobility to ask for collection which again I refuse because I'm not inconveniencing myself again, she can make the phonecall to arrange collection. Why can't someone take ownership of the issue? I just keep getting told by the people I speak with that it's not their fault and they can't help... why can't they escalate up the hierarchy until they get to someone who does have the authority to do the right thing by the customer? There is no accountability and at no point has anyone demonstrated any empathy or put themselves in our shoes and at no point have we ever received an apology.
Truly the most appalling service
Truly the most appalling service I have ever experienced with Elli VWs charging service partner. @audi you need to investigate how they are treating your customers. I have a sync issue in Audi q6 etron and after 14 days of requesting information from me to diagnose a fault they've either blanked me, delayed a written response or refused to call me and walk through the issue. I have now arranged a warranty visit to an Audi main dealer to see whether they provide Audi themselves with a better service. As a result I would never buy a Audi EV again in my life as you need Elli's services to work flawlessly to enjoy the car. Truly appalling customer service from a critical Audi service provider.
We received a safety recall letter from…
We received a safety recall letter from Audi regarding drivers airbag. In bold red writing it says driver airbag could cause fatal injuries when deployed, we have now been waiting since 25/03/26 for a part but we are told there are no parts available and no timescale for when they will be available, but Audi customer service say the car can still be driven with no restrictions despite the warning of what could happen,no courtesy car as it is not a stop driving recall,so we are left with a car we won't drive, our insurance say they would not pay out in event of crash involving airbag, customer service should be renamed no service,no urgency, our last Audi
Very disappointing service experience
Very disappointing service experience. Communication was extremely poor with no proactive updates on the status of my car. I was repeatedly promised call-backs that never happened, leaving me having to chase for information myself. Overall, the customer experience was frustrating and well below the standard expected from Audi.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve communication and customer care going forward.
