Review of Audi

I am extremely disappointed with the service and after-sales support I have received from Audi regarding my 2019 Audi Q3.

I purchased this vehicle brand new from Audi Westrand and have remained a loyal customer by having it serviced exclusively by the dealership since the day I bought it.

While the vehicle was still covered under the Audi warranty, I repeatedly reported gearbox issues. Unfortunately, my concerns were not addressed, and no meaningful action was taken. Now that the gearbox has failed outside of the manufacturer's warranty, the repair quotation is an astonishing R166,000. My AA Warranty will only contribute R21,000, leaving me with an enormous financial burden for an issue I reported while the vehicle was still under warranty.

To make matters worse, when my vehicle was returned to me after being at the dealership, the front grille had been damaged. It was not damaged when I handed the vehicle over. Despite this, Audi has refused to accept responsibility for either the gearbox issue or the damage caused to my vehicle while it was in their care.

I have also approached the Motor Industry Ombudsman in the hope of receiving assistance, but unfortunately I have not received any meaningful support.

As a customer who invested in the Audi brand and remained loyal by servicing my vehicle through the dealership, I expected far better customer service, accountability, and support. Instead, I have been left feeling ignored, frustrated, and deeply disappointed.

I am sharing my experience in the hope that Audi South Africa will take this matter seriously, investigate what has happened, and provide a fair resolution. Customers should have confidence that legitimate concerns raised during a warranty period are properly investigated and that vehicles are returned in the same condition in which they were received.
