In General it works but often issues with damage Packages and Adress Issues. Well the last point ist not the Problem of DPD but they are not flexible to change something.

Very unreliable

I have had a lot of awful experiences with DPD : lost or heavily damaged package, long delay (several weeks),...
Today I've had a delivery made —without any explanation— more than 50 km away from the selected pickup location. In the exact word of DPD : "Your parcel was successfully delivered to the selected Pickup point on 04/09/2026 and is ready for pick up".
If you want your package to be delivered to the right address, undamaged, and on time, there are often better options. Otherwise, good luck!

Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with DPD, absolutely terrible delivery service.

I sent a package that took 18 days to be delivered. Well… “delivered” is a generous way of putting it.

On the supposed delivery day, we were at home specifically waiting for this package. According to DPD, the driver came to our address, but we saw absolutely nobody. He didn’t ring the doorbell, knock on the door, or leave any notice. Nothing.

Apparently, he also tried calling our phone number, but because we didn’t answer, he simply left. If a customer is waiting at home for a package, the bare minimum would be to ring the doorbell or knock on the door before leaving.

About one hour after the supposed delivery attempt, we contacted DPD’s customer service to explain the situation and told them that we were waiting for the package and urgently needed it. The woman on the phone listened to us and said she would contact/inform the driver.

The next day: still no news.

The day after that, I had to call again myself to get an update. And then we were told that the package had already been sent back to the sender’s country.

So after 18 days of waiting, a driver who apparently couldn’t even be bothered to properly attempt the delivery, no doorbell, no knock, no notice, no proper follow-up from customer service, and no real attempt to resolve the situation… the package was simply sent back.

To top it all off, the package that was supposed to be delivered to me has been stuck at their sorting center for 6 days because, and I quote, “the address is incorrect.” Yet, with the shipping label right in front of me, the address is CORRECT. Did they call me? Or did they respond to my 3 emails to customer support? NO!

This is completely unacceptable.

They lost my 23,1kg parcel

They lost my 23,1kg parcel. I was shipping the parcel from Poland to Belgium. I got the parcel number from DPD and track-trace. Once it left Poland it disappeared. Dpd Belgium customer service when called their system could not recognise even the number of my parcel. It supposed to be delivered to the pick up point it never got there and in the app the last notification says: you were not home. How on Earth can you loose over 20 kg parcel? How on Earth your system doesn't recognise your own number given to the parcel? The only thing they say: sorry, we cannot help you. This is the worse courier company ever. Never ship your parcels with DPD if you don't want them to never be found.

Trustpilot review: Three years of unacceptable DPD service

I have had enough of DPD.

I have lived in this neighbourhood for almost 3 years, and in all that time I can count on one hand the number of DPD parcels that have actually been delivered to my door. In reality, almost every DPD parcel ends up at the parcel shop, even when I am sitting at home waiting for it.

And the most infuriating part is the message I repeatedly receive: “Sorry, we missed you. You weren't at home.”

No. I was home.

I have literally watched the DPD van on the live tracking, seen it pass my street, and then received the message shortly afterwards claiming that I wasn't home. My doorbell is only a few metres from where I am sitting. Other delivery companies have absolutely no problem finding my door, ringing my bell and delivering my parcels. DPD somehow seems incapable of doing this in this neighbourhood.

And this isn't an isolated incident. This has been happening repeatedly for almost 3 years.

Then comes the second part of the DPD experience: the parcel shop.

Customers are expected to search for their own parcels in a huge, chaotic pile containing parcels from different delivery companies. There is little or no practical assistance. People are understandably in a hurry, so parcels get moved around while people search. Finding your own parcel can become an absolute nightmare.

I have personally spent 2 hours searching for a DPD parcel and still had to leave without it.

Two hours!

And this has happened repeatedly over the years.

I have also complained to DPD through their website numerous times. What happens? nothing. My complaints are simply ignored. On one occasion I was told, essentially, that their tracking showed the driver had passed my address, so therefore their version of events was apparently correct.

Passing my address is not the same thing as delivering my parcel.

And I am certainly not the only customer experiencing this. From the beginning, other people in this neighbourhood have told me exactly the same thing: they are home, DPD claims they missed them, and their parcel ends up at that parcel shop. Even the parcel-shop employee has explained to me that DPD drivers regularly bring large numbers of parcels there rather than delivering them around the neighbourhood.

Whether this is because of poor management, poor working practices, unrealistic delivery schedules or simply drivers taking the easiest option is ultimately DPD's responsibility. It is not the customer's problem to solve.

What makes this even more frustrating is that this is clearly not a problem with my address. I lived in my previous neighbourhood for twelve years and never had this problem with DPD. And every other delivery company manages to deliver to my current address without any difficulty.

So after almost 3 years of this, I have reached a very simple conclusion:

If I see that a company only ships with DPD, I don't order.

I contact the company and ask whether they can use another delivery service. If they cannot, I simply don't buy the product. I am no longer willing to take the risk of paying for something and then having to spend hours hunting for my own parcel at a chaotic parcel shop, possibly having it returned, resent and delayed again.

And this is where I feel particularly sorry for the companies that use DPD.

A company can have an excellent product, excellent customer service and genuinely care about its customers, and DPD can completely undermine that relationship by failing at the very last step: actually delivering the customer's order.

That is incredibly damaging to the companies that have trusted DPD with representing them.

DPD, meanwhile, appears completely uninterested in addressing the problem. Complaints disappear into a black hole, customers are not taken seriously, and the same thing continues year after year.

No improvement. No accountability. No meaningful response.

At some point this stops being an occasional delivery problem and becomes a serious failure of the service itself.

To companies considering using DPD: please think very carefully about what happens after you hand your customer's order over to them.

Because when DPD fails to deliver, it isn't only DPD that looks bad.

Your company looks bad too.

Without even a single attempt to…

Without even a single attempt to deliver, the parcel is directly delivered to the collection point.
This is not the first time DPD do like this. If I had known that the carrier will be DPD, I wouldn't have ordered the product.

I’ve had a very poor experience with this delivery service. They often fail to deliver at the promised time and then claim that they rang the doorbell, even though they clearly didn’t make the effort to do so. It honestly feels like it’s simply easier for them to take all the parcels straight to a pickup point instead of actually attempting delivery.

Hello DPD Support,

1 star — Extremely disappointing experience with DPD Belgium

I am extremely disappointed with DPD. I specifically selected a DPD Pickup point in Antwerp, but my parcel was refused and is now being returned to the sender.

The parcel weighs around 14 kg, and I could not find any information indicating that this Pickup point had a weight restriction. If the Pickup point could not accept a parcel of this weight, why was I allowed to select it in the first place?

What makes this even worse is that DPD apparently marked the shipment as “refused by recipient”, even though I never refused the parcel and was never given the opportunity to collect it.

I have tried to contact DPD support around 20 times, but nobody answers. Their customer service line is paid, yet after all these calls I still cannot get anyone to explain what happened.

I would have been completely willing to collect the parcel from another Pickup point in Antwerp or arrange another delivery. Instead, my parcel is being returned to the sender because of a situation I did not cause.

Extremely poor communication and customer service. Very disappointing experience.

At DPD they play football

At DPD they play football with your packet, the world cup, and give you the "i don't give a shit" look, if you say about it.
They deliver strait to a pick up point, and say you was not at home, while you were. Terrible people.

Package stolen because of them

My package was nowhere to be found when it should be delivered. Then, when I complain because I can't find the package, they have the audicity to tell me they have adequately informed me about the delivery by sending me a picture of the package in the public entrance hall of my appartment building. They did not ring the bell, even though I was home. They left the package in clear view to be stolen. They closed my complaint after just sending me a picture of the package as 'proof of delivery'. Their costumer service is absolute dogshit.

I would prefer giving a 0 for dpd

I would prefer giving a 0 for dpd.

Ordered two important packages and got confirmation it would be delivered today. My girlfriend took a day off and stayed at home to receive these large packages.

I followed the live tracker and saw that the driver did some deliveries at the opposite side of our city. Ten minutes later I received a mail titled 'Unfortunately we missed you' while we were literally waiting for this delivery.

I immediately called the customer service and had to wait 35 minutes!!! before someone answered my call. The man was absolutely not helpful and clearly couldn't do a thing. What a waste of time.

And now they delivered it to a pickup parcel shop, expecting me to stop working earlier and get it myself. All because their driver didn't do his/her job???

To all companies working with delivery services, please avoid dpd at all costs!!! Not trustworthy at all.

DPD is the worst company one can choose…

DPD is the worst company one can choose to deliver parcels. On the last 2 occasions, not only did they not ring the bell and pretend I was absent, not only did they not notify me that they attempted the delivery, they simply drop it off at a random obscure location hundreds of meters from my place, and tag it as delivered. From now on, if I order something and see DPD is chosen for delivery, I'll just cancell the order altogether.

Delivery lies

Words fail me what a useless bunch I asked DPD for proof they delivered my package they then sent me proof of my package being delivered into a drop box of a property which I know to be 36C where I live at 38C and have no drop box. DPD you really are appalling and don’t tell the truth. DPD Belgium you are not capable of doing anything.

DPD Belgium is amongst the lousiest delivery…

DPD is amongst the lousiest delivery agencies in Belgium. Never any attempt to contact the people for delivery, immediate re-channeling to the "relay" location of their choice, no second visit/attempt, no way to contact them to advise where to deliver in case of absence. Really to avoid at all cost

Does not deliver

Does not take time to deliver to your door even though you pay for that service. goes directly to a parcel shop (not the one closest that would be too convenient) and gives you a max of 5 days to pick it up.

The worst delivery service possible

The worst delivery service possible.
They consistently don't even attempt to call the door, so they claim "to have missed me" and deliver the parcel the next day only, and to a random pickup point.
I gave up on contacting them to resolve this issue (they never even reply...) and started leaving instructions to leave the parcels in a safe place (lobby). Despite the confirmation in the App that they will do so, even this instruction is ignored. So I assume the delivery guy is simply too lazy to go to the delivery addresses one by one.

Package left at a parcel shop far from my house

Once again, there was not even any attempt to deliver the package at my house. It was directly taken to a parcel shop… problem, the driver decided to drop it at a parcel shop which is 10km away from my house when there are close options ! One is 2km away, the other 6km away, and both were open. An abysmal lack of service as always, this is the very worst delivery courrier service that exists. Once again I will have to waste time and in this case drive further because dpd is not capable of delivering packages as they should.

Terrible service everywhere in the world

They state in the tracking information that they cannot notify me when the parcel has been dispatched because my details are incorrect, yet I receive a notification informing me of this. If my details are wrong, how am I receiving the notification?
Wouldn’t it be more accurate to say that you are unable to organise shipments and are shifting the blame onto the customer to avoid taking responsibility?
