Boathouse gutters cleared, some of which are on the front of our boathouse on The Union Canal.

Difficult choice - to go high and get a nice outlook or stay low by the shore for nice walks. Opted to go high for the view. Now all we need is good weather. I wasn't sure about access but it is right beside the main road.

Renewal notice from previous insurer came in. Premium had increased from £482 to £1210. Paint had been scuffed eight months earlier by a careless driver when the car was unattended in a car park. No dent, just paint. Driver didn't admit responsibility. AA quoted £500 to renew with similar cover.

The garage is a five minute walk from home. I dropped the car off half an hour early at 9:30 and it was ready before 11:00. Friendly professional service.

Order placed for grandchildren's Christmas presents on Saturday 16th November. Chose economy delivery. Delivery supposed to be 4 - 6 days. Order processed Monday 18th. Waiting pickup on 20th. Collected 25th. 26th, in transit to the hub. 27th. Apparently got lost in the hub - it made no progress in the next three weeks. Probably courier's fault, not Dealmonday.
Cancelled the order. Received an apology and a prompt refund.

Renewal documents arrived well in advance of renewal date. New documents arrived on renewal date and direct debit taken. All automatic, no hassle.

We parked with FastPark on 21st December, a very busy day with 400 cars expected. There was welcome assistance at the photo booth and at reception. Two minutes from drop-off to the terminal. On return, the car was parked close to the terminal and we had no trouble getting our key back.

Bought as a present for my grand-daughter, age nearly 8. She is enjoying learning the basics of Draughts, then we will move on to Chess and Cribbage when she is a wee bit older. It's great to spend time with her doing that instead of watching TV. Great value for money.

All went very smoothly from booking the surveyor's appointment to receipt of the report. A copy was sent by email in advance of the printed copy by post.

November is a good time to buy outdoor games equipment at a discounted price. The six-player croquet set will make a good Christmas present for my son and his family, even if they have to wait a few months before they can use it.

For me, two things stand out about Ovo. Firstly, their invoices are very clear and easy to understand. Secondly, they pay up to 5% interest on credit balances up to £1000.
