In the past, we usually popped into town and booked in a travel agency, as we like to receive all of the paperwork there and then.

Our friends mentioned that booking with Jet2 through their App is very straightforward and allows you to print any of the relevant documents you wish to take along on holiday with you.

Not only did we unexpectedly receive £120 off our holiday at the checkout page, their App was full of information about our hotel, the local destination and excursions you can book beforehand — really helpful!

We ordered a freestanding oven which was part of a cash-back offer — their delivery service was good, the guy appeared knowledgable and simply got on with installing our oven and took away our old one as part of the recycling scheme.

After one month, the oven continues to perform really well, giving the cakes we bake an even distribution of heat that allows them to rise nicely.

I went ahead and bought the wunderflip hybrid mattress from Eve Sleep, as we liked the idea of having two different sides of firmness, in case one side was more comfortable than the other.

Within a week of sleeping on the more firmer side of this mattress, we finally slept through the night without tossing and turning, and continue to do so today!

For some reason, Nintendo eShop gift cards are rarely less dear than PlayStation, for example.

Whilst we (thankfully!) didn’t require to use our travel insurance on our recent holiday, I felt reassured knowing that we had a comprehensive insurance package, especially with the amount of activities/excursions we participated in.

Very happy with my purchase of two pairs of summery t-shirts and shorts, ready for my holiday.

I replaced these with similar items that I bought from Fat Face eight or nine years ago, which are only just beginning to look worn/faded.

Always worth paying a little bit more for better quality and long-lasting clothes, especially when they’re on sale!

I was initially wary about doing this, as I had upwards of a hundred individual LEGO sets to go through.

Three days and one painful tingling thumb later, I was able to box up 70 sets, a combination of new and used, and have four large boxes collected by the Royal Mail at home and taken away.

It took nearly ten days altogether from when the LEGO arrived at its destination and for my offer to be accepted — the unchanged amount was paid into my bank account a few hours later!
