If it is just a single channel you should contact zap2it and tell them.

If your app ignores timezones, you can use two tv_grab_na_dd config
files and use a different --tz-offset on the 2nd one.  Other than that,
there is no "off-the-shelf" tool to do what you ask.  You would have to
write one.

It could not fetch that page, so gave up.  The output file is not
complete so it will fail to later put it through tv_sort.

I assume you are able to view that page in your web browser.

Can you send the config file (~/.xmltv/tv_grab_de_tvtoday.conf) that
you are using?  Also, please keep this on the mailing list.

I've set it up so Genra shows up before showType in Category.

I'm not sure this entirely fits. It's not really a genre, more of a 
descriptor. If you do put it in, could you make it secondary to the

First, please make sure you're using the new tv_grab_na_dd instead of
tv_grab_na.  You will need to sign up for an account with zap2it's
Data Direct service.

When you sign up you may find a way to choose the channels you
want.  If not, contact the xmltv-users mailing list or the zap2it
folk.

Sorry if this doesn't come out formatted right (or look right in thread =
view), I joined the list specifically to address this topic. I use =
multiple lineups because I live in a house that has both basic cable and =
satellite. A couple of the channels are duplicated (ESPN, DISC), but =
channel numbers are not because satellite starts with channel 101 (or =
something like that). As I'm currently using it tv_grab_na_dd works =
perfectly for me.

I can see situations where something different needs to be implemented. =
For example, now that downloading seems to be tons faster, I might =
decide I want listings for another cable provider for the weekends when =
I visit family out of town. I use freeguide which allows seperate =
lineups to be explicitly specified. I'm not sure how it would work out =
with duplicated channel numbers it that case.

These values will be improved in the new DD DTD which comes out
tomorrow.

Hi

I was looking at the .dd file and the .xml files.

I see some key fields not making it to the xml file:

runtime
advisories
showType
Series   (Series ID)
Program id   (Program ID)

And...

The dd file seems to be missing the yearOfProduction for a program  (Like
episode xxx of yyy was made in 2001)

IMDB has that info and I used it to fill it in in a few places.

Anyone know where/why these are missing?

The id's are super cool.  If they made it to the xml, then we could do away
with the progID and SERIESID fields and use these to determine
reruns/suggestions/season passes.

If it gets coded, I'll add them to parsexmlguide_vb

I think we have had questions like this before from users in the US
who wanted to grab for more than one provider.

To start with, please use tv_grab_na_dd instead of tv_grab_na.  Then
there may be some way to configure the channels on your zap2it Data
Direct account to get what you want.  If not, you might want to talk
to zap2it - or perhaps create two accounts in different regions.
But I'm cc'ing this to the mailing list in case you have more
questions or someone else has a better idea.

what command line did you use?  Are you looking at STDOUT, the output
from "-dd-file" or "--output".

I bet you're looking at the output of "--dd-file", which is the
XTDSchemaDefinition.pdf format.

Regarding channel IDs, in the new grabber I'm trying to be honest and
use the channelID provided by TMS in generating the RFC compliant name.
 If you have an application that depends on the channel ID used by
tv_grab_na, specify the "--old-chan-id" switch.

I would expect the output of tv_grab_na_dd to always be in xmltv
format.  Are you sure you're not looking at a file saved by the
--dd-data option, which saves the raw zap2it data to a separate file?

Yes, this is the normal way of writing an ampersand in XML.

VDR is the problem... & is a correct representation of & for XML files.

With tv_grab_fi, I've found out that if a program name contains "&"/ampersign 
symbol, xmltv grabs it as:

<title lang="fi">Then &amp; Now</title>

And VDR then displayes the EPG info as "Then &amp; Now" instead of "Then & 
Now".
