Deceptive and Shady

The platform for selling the prodcuts is misleading as well as the descriptions. I wanted to sign up for to premium while already signed up to the internet security product but was not shown any indication that I was duplicating my existing services.

I was only made aware of this when i viewed my dashboard on my browser and after my first plan had renewed. Customer support was extremely unhelpful circling back to the fact that I can add multiple devices to the plan. There was no ounce of effort to try and maintain me as a customer. I didn't even want to cancel, I just wanted a refund on the duplicated service!
On top of that it causes my banking app to shut down because of their shady background.
Now that I'm trying to get my passwords from them I can't even get it in CSV form from my desktop app.

What an utter disgrace! I waould have been happy to renew with the service as I had already done but it just goes to show that they're interested in deceiving and cheating longstanding customers.

⭐ 1-Star Review

⭐ 1-Star Review – Extremely Poor Customer Support

I purchased a Kaspersky licence, but it is not showing up in my account. I contacted customer support through live chat to get this issue resolved.

The system displayed an average waiting time of 29 minutes. I patiently waited for around 30 minutes, only for Kaspersky to close the case themselves, claiming that the issue had been resolved — without providing any actual resolution.

This is an extremely frustrating experience. A customer who has already paid for a product should not have to chase support just to get their licence recognised in their account. Waiting half an hour only to have the case closed without assistance is unacceptable.

Kaspersky needs to improve its customer support accountability. Closing cases and marking issues as resolved without actually resolving them is not customer service.

I paid for the product and expect the service and support that come with it. Very disappointing experience.

I'd give a minus score if I could

I'd give a minus score if I could. I had been using Kaspersky for a couple of years when I purchased it again for another 3 year term. All of a sudden it stopped working. I called them and told them that it had quit working and was told it had been banned in Canada. I still had a little over 2 years left on the subscription. I asked about a refund for the remaining time left and was told that I was not going to receive any refund. I then had to quickly get another security provider and turned to Norton. They have a good reputation and they have not been banned in Canada, ever. It doesn't matter how good the program is if they won't honor the contract that was signed and paid for.
I received an email from them to purchase their product and immediately put the email in spam as that is what this company is. It cost me over $150 for no service. This company may offer internet protection but they are shyster's. Avoid using them at all costs. The date this happened was back in 2023 but this website will not allow me to enter that date. If I can't give an honest date, how can I expect them to be an honest company.

Kaspersky Total Security Suite ruined…

Kaspersky Total Security Suite ruined my Computer - not being able to connect to web pages via Edge or Chrome or being able to use Outlook. I discovered this after contacting both my Internet provider and Microsoft Technical Support for remote assistance. They have failed to acknowledge my complaint and keep sending me the same reply to raise a new Incident report. I have had enough of these people, arrogant and unhelpful, when it is their product causing the problems

NO SERVICE SKILLS

The company & its operators can gladly take money for their product, but cannot, WILL not, do not provide the required service needed when you have issues.

I had the most arrogant & rudest of operators telling me to cooperate with instruction, as we have other customers!! Your the BLOODY technician, NOT me.

This was after I told said operator I've done everything as per instruction & the issue is unresolved. Numerous emails with the same shit instructions, NO RESOLUTION.

The issue was only fixed after 2 x remote sessions costing me a full day of NO production within my work place at their incompetent inability to assist. Pissed is an understatement.

Great antivirus - much better than Windows Defender

I decided to purchase Kaspersky antivirus after I suspected Windows Defender wasn't doing a good enough job of keeping my PC safe from viruses and malware. I had noticed odd behavior with unknown programs giving errors when shutting down my PC, as well as generally slower performance than before and other occasional signs that my PC was infected.

Lo and behold as soon as I ran a scan with Kaspersky it found a long laundry list of viruses, rootkits and malware. Thankfully it was able to remove all of it and since then my PC has been running good as new again. If anyone thinks Windows Defender is good enough, I strongly recommend reconsidering and getting Kaspersky instead.

It's very much worth mentioning I had also only visited ordinary websites you think would be 'safe', but viruses can nowadays often infect a Windows 11 machine with the latest updates for example even from embedded ads on news sites or javascript in popup ads, even if you don't click on any link or submit any info.

As a bonus the scan also found various corrupted files on my drives much faster than CHKDSK would have, and was able to clean them so I don't get errors about them anymore.

Kaspersky anti-virus runs in the background smoothly and doesn't hog PC resources like other anti-virus software I've used in the past. This is the other main reason I would recommend it, as it doesn't slow your performance down in any apps or cause conflicts or annoying false positives, while you get peace of mind with the strong anti-virus protection provided.

Their customer support was also responsive and helpful when I had an issue with my initial trial set up.

Excellent anti-virus and firewall, dreadful VPN.

Excellent anti-virus and firewall, used them for over a decade. Started using Kaspersky VPN a few years ago and it was fairly decent. However, VPN performance started to degrade over time, because the servers were clearly oversubscribed. Kaspersky support tried to infer that the problem was with my configuration, rather than their service.
After a major program update in November 2025, their VPN became practically unusable. They changed their network to PureVPN, which is notoriously bad. They're still trying to convince customers that the problem lies with the end user, rather than a broken service. I'm done. I'm moving to Proton.
Edit: Nearly a year later and they still haven't fixed their dreadful broken VPN. I've just cancelled my subscription altogether. Proton VPN has been flawless.

I would give it a 0 if it was an option. I paid for Kaspersky Premium and most of the premium options are not available. The VPN is asking me to pay the subscription again and their support is sending me the same "solution" for the 3rd time. Don't waste your time on this. There are companies that actually know how to setup their apps to work and I wouldn't trust a company that can't do that to handle your security. Incredible how bad these people are and it is normal for their support that I'd have to spend days emailing them JUST TO USE WHAT I PAID FOR...

Closing your account does not cancel your subscription!

I had previously used Kaspersky and it worked fine, however I closed my account in 2022. I received an email saying that all devices and subscriptions would be disconnected, what I was not told was that the Auto-Renew for the subscription was not cancelled and payments would still be taken. I should have checked my bank account, however I trusted their email saying that the account was closed and subscription stopped.
A further payment was taken in 2023 and 2024, I have only noticed now as my bank keeps rejecting the current payment that they have tried to take.

This is the best

I've been using Kaspersky for four years. I've had several reputable antiviruses before, but some slowed down my computer, and there were some that 'removed viruses' every five minutes, yet my laptop was constantly infected with viruses. Since I've been using Kaspersky, I've had no problems. They're not flashy, no fuss, just pure protection. Someone wrote that "There's no customer service phone number or email, just an AL-bot". This is not true. After the first year, I wanted to switch to a different package, but I forgot to cancel the old one, and we sorted it out in a single email. This year, the similar thing happened, and the solution came to my email the next day. They also have phone service and chat, with a 4-6 minute wait time. I completely trust Kaspersky, and I'll definitely stay with them.

Be careful with Kaspersky’s…

Be careful with Kaspersky’s auto-renewal settings.

I recently discovered that my subscription was set to auto-renew without me realizing it. When the renewal went through, I was charged £60 — far more than what I originally paid, and far higher than the price currently offered to new customers (around £16–£17 for the same plan).

In my experience, the price difference is unreasonable, and I was very disappointed when customer support told me there was nothing they could do about it. I had expected better service, especially after using Kaspersky for many years and recommending it to my family.

Because of this, I’ve turned off auto-renewal and I won’t be purchasing Kaspersky again once my current subscription ends. There are many other antivirus options available, and I personally won’t be paying three times the current offer price ever again.

I recommend that anyone using Kaspersky double-check their renewal settings to avoid a similar situation.

Kaspersky AI bot a complete waste of space.

Been with Kaspersky for years without problems. But when I changed computer I was unable to log-on with my email and password. No customer service phone number or email contact, just an AI bot that is bloody useless and a complete waste of time.

After hours of trying to resolve my problem and get the service I have paid for, I have now given up and gone to another provider.
