Doesn’t really work,I used the prompts to create a fun trumps eath cloc where you could add how many McDonald’s cheeseburgers he’d eaten that day,if he spouted Russian propaganda or conspiracy theories but the app seems to have been removed. There was zero was to monetize the app or anything like that but it’s definitely gone. I don’t see the point of the website if the app is only for one person,.the creator and then they remove it.
What a bad service! They wasted so much money, and the software hangs, takes so many credits, and redoes issues 50 times and is still not fixed. Says loading your app needs to use credits just to let it build the website. Support responds once every few days, not taking responsibility, waisting so much money I should have gone with loveable, eveyday its a issue and double credits for repeating

Absolutely rubbish and fraudulent thieves!!! I had cancelled my services, a year later they took $640 AUD from my account. No responses no refund nothing.
Stay away

Base44 is really good! I've managed to make a fully functional gaming platform website with Base44! Although we do get a very little amount of daily credits with the free plan. I would highly recommend using base44 if you don't know how to code yet!
I just finished building my template which costed me thousends an consumed 1 year of full time working I cant sell my template because you descontinued the template selling in you market place but telling us we could list it for free, but you dont give us anything free, only because you dont like your user to make money. please dont waste your time and money on base44, you will regret
this app is made out of playwalls it makes no snese how you can build all kinds of stuff on base 44 yet this thing is kinda trash becuase 1 aggresive credit limits after its your 1st time spending all yoru credits i next time you join you credits limit is shorter base44 gives you way too little credits rather than the actual amount you need and 2nd it makes it feel like the project is not actually your project it blocks so many features behind a paywall you cant control actual fun features without it shoving intergation credits down your throat and it blocks stuff like exporting your project or even just removing the made with base 44 icon everything is so paywalled like if the application is not even your own app if i have my own app i should be allowed to have full control over what i can do and 3rd these ads basically coat base 44 with this layer to make it look like the future of making apps when its just the feature of paywalls ai limits etc you cant even take your own project off base 44 without a paywall and let these ads treat base 44 like a get whatever app you want and complently covers up paywalls so you dont get to see the reality that base 44 is just as annoying as those arcade coin munchers 1 star
Makes developing a website as a beginner very easy. The support team was very helpful. I just think that AI isn't fully accurate with what you tell it to do 100% of the time.

This has got to be one of the most unethical AI companies I have seen. I built several apps through the platform in which the AI built in looping logic in quering the LLM. The looping logic ate up the integration credits quickly in which they happily requested I upgrade. I did this twice until I was shelling out 300/mo for a few simple applications. Whgen I found out what was going on, support issued a credit for 10% of the integration credits. 900.00 out and I got back about 30 bucks worth of credits. Save the effort and go to another platform that doesn't try to force you to pay more.

They just take your money when you don’t even continued the subscription bunch a scammers

I did like base44 when it first started out now its just a money grabbing waste of space.
You can't have your app on the android app store because base44 doesnt allow you to target Android 16 (api 36)
Also they have managed it so the AI Chat bot will ask you to say "continue" or "yes carry on" after every task even if you write a full paragraph on what to do and ask it do it all at once it will say after the first task "want me to continue" Great way to waste peoples credits. Absoloute scam. I will be looking to go somewhere else. The way they build native apps is terrible.
Base 44 is great. Claude code is good as well, but I prefer base 44 because it already has a lot of the security infrastructure in place, and greatly simplifies integrations with other platforms. Not difficult to use once you get the layout of the platform and how to correctly prompt it. While I do have experience with software development, even my (14) teenage brother has been able to build small websites as well. Overall great platform, and the community around it is very helpful as well, if you're mad about it, you probably don't know anything about software or prompting, so learn that and you'll understand why it's great. I have been using it for well over a year fyi.

Predatory practices with weaponized incompetence.
It started out with an unknown and hidden amount of "credits". Each prompt or command apparently cost credit(s). About 1/4 way through, I started noticing "0.9 credits" at the bottom of its reply.
I believe it just acted incompetent or misunderstood prompts to drag out the process. The more you have to guide it back on track or correct its misinterpretations, the more it gets to charge you.
I acknowledge the necessity of the back-and-forth nature required to communicate users intentions. It would do A,B, and C. I said, A and B are great. Let's fix C to do this instead. It would fix C, but also make changes to A and/or B. Then, we have to correct A, and C slides off again... And, so on, until you're out of "credits".
It's just whack-a-mole and it charges you for each swing of the club.
I've had this app since month of July. I created at least 3 websites so far and overall it's ok. The only thing that I noticed is that the basic plan when I started it let me create a whole lot of stuff. Then, when I started with the builder plan, i have noticed that no matter how many times i would instruct to ensure that nothing breaks whenever I do some updates, but it continues to break. too many instances, specially my online radio, that when i make some updates, it breaks strings, and other lihks/pages stops working. This usually is very noticeable when you're almost halfway through your credit. It's like their AI builder is programmed to detect credits, and deliberately breaks anything, so we keep on spending too much time trying to instruct them to fix it. It confirms it's been fixed, but it continuosly breaks. and..it get even worse when you're almost out of credit, you will be surprised how many things they break, just to probably force you to upgrade because you are very conscious about making sure your updates goes through. These AI's are programmed to cheat and steal money. Your credits run out faster than they can fix issues. Be careful, they steal money.

Awful experince with this company. They say you own your data inputs and outputs but if they shut down your app, they will refuse to give you YOUR intellectual property. After multiple attempts to get my data that didn’t violate any of their agreements, they still refused. Awful customer service, sometimes waiting weeks for meaningful response. Id rather code and learn front end and back end architecture and development then ever deal with Base 44 again.
Take the warning and move to a better platform, or do it yourself, on your own server.

Great UX but it functions very poorly. The preview constantly dissappears and editing is not possible. Apparently many users face these issues. So not worth the steap pricing.

I am a long paying customer and make active use of my main account. Base44 continued to charge for an extra unused account I had - when it was not in active use - and refused my requests for a refund.
I was encouraged to this site by a seller of websites for sales.
I did not use base 44 and have been billed, this company maybe good at what they do.
They make very difficult to cancel and ask for refund it is well hidden in there system and the support team are very unhelpful.
No closure or refund after more than several attempts.
I would now like to add that Base 44 has contacted me asking for the open ticket number relating to the cancellation. I went onto the site, and my open ticket has been closed by the team there.
They sent me an email saying my subscription remains live until Sept 25th, 2026.
So they have not really listened to my request. My message to them is that I would improve my star rating if they refunded me the full £110 pounds and stopped hunting for re-subscription

My case is; #6a8f8264. My experience with Base44 has gone far beyond one bad day or one isolated technical issue. I have repeatedly lost time, money, and energy dealing with problems that should never have become this difficult.
I have dealt with billing issues, subscription problems, integration-credit problems, AI/tool reliability problems, and now domain issues that could not even be fixed from my side.
Most recently, my renewal failed. Support told me the failed charge was canceled and that I was free to purchase another plan, yet the system still treated my account as active and blocked me from renewing. I then had to spend more money just to create a temporary replacement site so visitors would have something professional to see while my platform was being upgraded.
Then, after disconnecting my custom domain from the old app, Base44 still had the domain registered in its backend and prevented me from connecting it to the new app. I was told that only support could release it.
This came after previous problems where I had to deal with major integration-credit usage, platform functionality issues, and repeated troubleshooting instead of actually building and running my business.
The biggest issue is the cumulative impact. I have spent hours dealing with support tickets, billing screens, broken functionality, workarounds, and emergency fixes. Time that should have gone toward customers, meetings, product development, and growing my Edtech platform was instead spent trying to keep the platform functioning.
I understand that software can have bugs. What I do not accept is repeatedly having to lose time and spend additional money because of problems inside a paid platform, especially when those problems require support intervention and support is slow to respond.
At this point, I have lost confidence in Base44 as a platform for a serious long-term product. I am already moving my Edtech platform away from Base44, and after this experience, I do not see myself ever building another important project on Base44 again.
Base44 is something that looks good on the outside but is truly hell from the inside. The unexpected costs, and dependence on support when something goes wrong has completely outweighed that convenience.
I genuinely wanted Base44 to work. After everything I’ve dealt with, I’m done.

This has been resolved and Base44 refunded me the full amount less processing fees. Very grateful for the outcome.
Thank you.
I am writing this review to urge Base44 management to review my open support ticket regarding a severe case of billing misrepresentation.I was recently pushed into buying a high-tier annual subscription via a direct link during a phone onboarding session for a third-party UGC partner program. I was explicitly assured over the phone that the platform came with a 30-day money-back guarantee if it did not suit my needs as a new creator. Trusting this assurance, I committed to the annual plan. When I realized within 48 hours that the tool was not appropriate for my current stage, I reached out to cancel. I have used exactly zero (0) AI credits and have absolutely no data usage on the platform, leaving zero server footprint. Despite this, customer support issued a rigid refusal based on their Terms of Service, which I was never presented with or given an opportunity to read prior to the phone sale.I understand that the third-party program gave inaccurate information, and Base44 support is looking into them. However, as the consumer caught in the middle, I am left holding a massive annual bill for a service I cannot use.I have reached out to support asking for a fair, amicable compromise: a prorated resolution where Base44 charges me for the single month elapsed and refunds the remaining 11 months of unused service. I hope a billing manager sees this review and steps in to do the right thing so we can resolve this without escalating to a formal bank dispute. Ticket #6a8f7025

I paid for a Base44 subscription three to four days ago, but my account still shows as unpaid. I reached out several times and even submitted a receipt as proof of payment, but I haven't received any response. Meanwhile, I'm paying for a service I can't use. If anyone from Base44 is reading this, please help resolve my account. Order details available on request.
