Extremely speedy delivery

It took 2 weeks from order to it being ready to collect. I undersrand that it had to come from one of your stores but the wait did seem rather long. For this reason I have given an average score rather than a higher one

I had to return a few items I had ordered, one of which was faulty. After messaging customer services they offered to not charge p&p on the return due to the faulty item, which I wanted and planned to purchase a replacement which I would be charged postage on. Very helpful

Ordering was easy and delivery was good. However an email I sent with some questions about the performance of the product was never answered. I since found the answers I wanted on reviews others had made of the product.

Delivered as expected and well packaged as usual

There were a lot of different terms and conditions to work through in order to decide whether to take up insurance or a protected deposit if we cancel. Otherwise it was fairly straight forward

I wanted a selection of ornamental grasses. There was plenty of choice at good prices. They arrived inside the time expected and were well packed and in good condition.

We ordered a single bed with a truckle bed underneath it. It came as one package of the base, truckle base and truckle mattress. Separately the mattress for the single bed. It's a small spare room. On unpacking we found that the headboard end was not against the wall. We had to unpack the base, truckle and mattress and manoeuvre the base into the hall, turn it and get it back in the room. All while working in a confined area. Perhaps easier to do if not in your 70's. I recommend you clearly label the headboard end and delivery people check which way you want it. The delivery men completed the delivery barely speaking. A smile goes a long way. The plus side is that communication was good. A three hour delivery window provided for the delivery date and a phone call half an hour before arrival.
UPDATE I have increased my original score of 3 stars to 4, following on from the phone call today from BJS as they took the trouble to understand the difficulties and seemed likely to make adjustments in future when delivering beds

The plant, a cuphea torpedo, arrived in good condition. However, unlike the pictures shown on the website, the flowers are tiny and hard to see that they are even there rather than the vibrant red flowers in the photographs. So a healthy plant but very disappointing flower
