I wish I could give it 0 star

I wish I could give it 0 star. Bought 2 appliances from Lowe's back in August. On expected delivery date, had a plumber at my house for installation. On delivery day, I waited and waited and waited till I received an email at end of delivery window saying delivery was delayed and that someone would call me. Through a very frustrating experience trying to get to an actual person in Customer Support (awful AI bots), found out they forgot to put the appliances on delivery truck!!! I canceled one of the item and rescheduled the other. The delivery person came but could not haul away old appliance / deliver new appliance because of the gas connection. Have spent about 5 very frustrating hours with support (AI Bots, dropped calls, waiting for 30 minutes on hold and then dropped) trying to cancel order altogether and 3 days later, Lowe's has still failed to come through with canceling my order. I was able to get through someone on the phone again and they raised a case.

Never will I order from Lowe's again

Never will I order from Lowe's again. Ordered a refrigerator to be delivered today and no where did it mention that you will get a call to confirm your appointment. Kept getting text messages saying we were next up. Waited and nothing. Called and said since you didn't confirm your appointment it has to be rescheduled. Pretty pathetic if you ask me especially if you are not coming in my house n leaving it on the porch.

I bought a window ac unit

I bought a window ac unit, 3 year protection plan.
Unbeknownst to me this unit was leaking water down the inside of the house on the wall. It wasn't obvious until I noticed my floor was coming up.
I contacted Lowe's, they informed me that this would be covered by manufacturer warranty.
Westinghouse by the way.
I contacted Westinghouse and kept being given different phone numbers. Finally got connected to the right place and the they said they would schedule a repairman to come out and see what the problem is.
I informed them that it was leaking at tje seam.
Didn't care, neither did Lowe's.
My floor is ruined.
The warranty provided by Lowe's is a waste of your money.
I wish I could post pictures of the floor.

Store Full of Incompetence

If zero stars were possible, that is what I would give the West Plano Lowe’s. This was one of the worst and most incompetently handled customer-service experiences I have ever had.

I brought in three unopened tools, each costing $40 or less, because the project I purchased them for had fallen through. I had my receipts and politely asked Saba whether the return could be issued as store credit since I needed to purchase a different tool and refunds to my original card generally take five or more days. He told me store credit was not an option for tool returns.

Although I disagreed with that policy, I accepted his answer and asked to do an exchange instead. Saba responded, “Yeah, I told you to do that anyway.” I then explicitly told him to proceed with the exchange, and he said, “Great, let’s do it.”

While he was processing the transaction, I asked whether it would remain open while I retrieved the replacement tool and whether someone could help me get it because it was locked up. Saba looked at me as though my question were ridiculous and told me to find an employee when I was ready to purchase it. He then pressed a key and printed a receipt. When I asked why I would need to make a separate purchase when we were doing an exchange, he informed me that he had processed a refund to my card.

That was exactly what I had repeatedly and explicitly told him not to do. When I asked why he ignored my instructions after agreeing to an exchange, his response was, “Because I told you that’s what I could do.” I cannot comprehend how an employee working at a returns desk can agree to one transaction and then deliberately process the exact transaction the customer repeatedly declined.

I asked for a manager—something I have done perhaps twice in my life. Saba replied, “Yeah, I’ll get him, but be prepared that he’s gonna tell you that we won’t do anything anyway.”

When the manager, Eddie, arrived, the first thing Saba said directly in front of me was, “This is the guy I told you about.” That immediately made it clear that I was being treated as a problem rather than as a customer whose straightforward request had just been mishandled.

Saba gave Eddie an incomplete version of events, saying only that I wanted store credit. I explained that I had already accepted that store credit would not be provided and had instead requested an exchange. Eddie looked at the receipts, realized Saba had already processed the refund, and dismissively asked, “We processed the refund back to your card. We can’t do anything for you. What do you want?”

What I wanted was simple: for Saba not to ignore my repeated instructions and process a refund I specifically declined. Instead of addressing that, Eddie questioned why I was returning the unopened tools and gave several contradictory explanations about exchanges—first suggesting an exchange might be possible for an item of the exact same price, then saying he would deny it over even a one-cent difference, and finally claiming exchanges were only permitted for an identical replacement when an item was damaged.

I asked Eddie to show me where the receipt stated these supposed restrictions. He read the return language aloud and said, “You just need your proof of purchase.” I pointed out that he was holding my receipt. He then responded, “Yeah, no. That’s your receipt—you can’t do anything with that. You can only get a refund with that.” Saba then interrupted to tell me I could “CLICK the LINK on the RECEIPT”—apparently forgetting that this was a paper receipt.

Throughout the interaction, both employees were dismissive, condescending, and unwilling to take responsibility for a mistake that could have been avoided simply by listening. Saba demonstrated a shocking inability to communicate with a customer or perform a basic agreed-upon transaction, while Eddie seemed far more interested in defending him than resolving the situation.

I left without the replacement tool I needed and now must wait for the refund to appear on my card—the exact outcome I repeatedly explained I was trying to avoid. Lowe’s should seriously review how Saba and Eddie communicate with customers and how this location trains employees to handle basic returns and exchanges. I will go out of my way to shop elsewhere after this experience.

I went to Lowes & spent almost $2000 on…

I went to Lowes & spent almost $2000 on a Refrigerator. They asked for My Phone# & Name. Pulled up my account, used my card on file. In less than 5 Mins I bought a new Fridge. Wife wanted Extended Warranty so I went back to buy it. That's when it got crazy!!! I asked to use $25 rewards cash from fridge purchase. 1st they said no cause its tied to original purchase. After a bit of back & forth, they said It would have to be a separate purchase. I said “Fine make it separate”. Then I find out I can't use the rewards - I have to setup 2 factor authentication to use the rewards. I need to access my e-mail which is on my desktop. I then asked - So, Lowes uses 3 times the security to use a $25 Cash Reward than they do to spend $2000 on a refrigerator? Mgr Alex says, “Yes it's for your protection”. Well Alex, where was the protection when I bought the fridge? It looks like at Lowes, if I have a MyLowes Account with a card on file, I can spend a whole lot with just my Phone# & Name. But if I want to use the MyLowes rewards I have to jump through a number of hoops to make sure nobody else gets my $25 reward. This all seems very backwards, or maybe they don’t actually want you to use your rewards.

Lowes and GE failure to righta wrong

We purchased GE stackable at Lowes. 7 months later the washer stopped draining and agitator is slow. GE uses Bodewell to service the washer dryer but we could not get anyone to fix the unit. Finally Bodewell agreed to replace the unit but when it arrived the unit was damaged. After going through months of trying to get the unit repaired and then waiting for a replacement (which ended up being damaged) we are trying to get our money back. Lowes is stating that we need to get a return authorization from GE and GE states that they need to work with a Lowes employee to grant return authorization. I have never seen or experienced such frustration over returning a product. Why aren't cokpanies standing behind their products any longer or producing products that actually last? Why is the customer ending up losing money because of poor return policies and poor manufacturing standards?

Whatever you do, don't click on Lowe's "Installation" link.

Whatever you do, do not click on the installation while viewing a large household need. You will be connected immediately to their subcontractor, ARS Rescue Recovery, in Indiana.

In my cart was a $756 gas water heater made by AO with a six-year warranty. I had to order a new heater because of the massive storms that caused severe flooding. The water level reached 9" in my basement.

A salesman was paged to come and talk with me for an hour about the superiority of a tankless water heater. When he wrote up the contract, he changed it to the same hot water heater in my cart. When the plumber came the next day, he brought a tank, then left after 3 hours of work, leaving a $4,047 credit card bill. I was taken advantage of by Lowe's and their contractor during a national disaster, and I'm a senior to boot.

The bottom line is my credit card company is investigating the charge, and I'm completing the paperwork for the small claims court. The BBB, the Attorney General, and others have received complaints about a "bait-and-switch" arrangement with Lowe's Home Improvement during a national disaster.

Purchased 18' of carpet to be deliverd …

Purchased 18' of carpet to be deliverd but only 10' feet was delivered. Called store but they refused to cut the carpet correctly and deliver it. Store said they had the carpet and would cut it but that I would have to pick it up. Asked for a refund twice. After 10 days no refund. I went to the store. They agreed to refund but refused to refund the delivery fee because a different company does the delivery. I paid Lowes to deliver the carpet not some other company I had no interaction or agreement with.

Lowe’s Appliance delivery contractors

MIDDLETOWN, Delaware - BEWARE of LOWE’s Appliance delivery 3rd party contractors who installed my ice maker refrigerator and damage my home. After 7 months of getting the run around and a $500 offer from the contractor I was told by LOWES corp office there was nothing else they can do. I PURCHASED FROM LOWES, not their 3rd party contractor. The customer service is horrible and the corporate office is worst. I CONTROL WHERE AND HOW MY $$ IS SPENT AND WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME IN LOWE’s. DO NOT SUPPORT COMPANIES THAT DO NOT STAND BY THEIR OWN POLICY AND HIRE WORTHLESS SUBCONTRACTORS.

Customer Service Awful

I purchased a washer and dryer at full price. The next day both went on sale for Labor Day. I realized the sale affected the appliances I purchased and called to request the price be extended to my purchase. I researched and learned Lowe’s honors these requests for 30 days post service. My customer service agent said that was only when purchased with a Lowe’s credit card and without that it was 48 hours. I asked to speak with a manger and he refused. When I pushed the issue I was put on hold for 15 minutes only for home to return and say a manager would not speak with me and they would offer me a $20 gift card. This is not customer service but rather a person on the other end of the phone citing policy that isn’t published anywhere. Buy elsewhere. Most major appliance centers will honor a sale price.

Extremely disappointed in Lowe's

Extremely disappointed in Lowe's. I recently completed a full kitchen remodel through them and was so impressed, which makes this situation completely unacceptable. I bought a garage door opener and paid for Lowe's installation service, which they handed off to Angi. Angi has now flaked and rescheduled TWICE, and Lowe's offers zero help or accountability to fix it. It’s infuriating to see Lowe's wash their hands of a customer the second a subcontractor fails. They need to stand behind all of their installation packages, not just the massive projects. Do not buy basic service bundles here.

Transparency and Accountability Were Missing

I recently completed a large patio project through Lowe's and experienced multiple issues involving product quality, damaged deliveries, and inconsistent customer service.
The most concerning issue was receiving contradictory information regarding Lowe's return policy. When I attempted to return unused materials, employees at the Washington, PA store told me that no return was possible because the purchase was beyond the standard 90-day return window. I specifically informed them that the purchase had been made using my Lowe's credit card, but I was still told the return could not be processed.
After leaving the store, I contacted Lowe's Customer Relations. They reviewed my order and informed me that purchases made with a Lowe's card qualify for an extended return period. This directly contradicted what I had been told by store employees and management.
The return is now being handled, but customers should not have to contact Corporate Customer Relations to receive accurate information about company policies.
In addition, I purchased paving stones through the Washington store, but the order was delivered from a different location. The stones delivered were noticeably different in color, thickness, and appearance from the product I originally selected. Approximately half of the first pallet arrived damaged.
Over the following weeks, I went through multiple replacement deliveries. Despite assurances that replacement stones would be inspected before shipment, additional damaged stones continued to arrive. The process resulted in repeated phone calls, project delays, and considerable frustration.
What disappointed me most was the lack of consistency. Store employees, management, and Customer Relations did not always provide the same information, making it difficult to resolve issues efficiently.
I appreciate that Customer Relations ultimately worked toward a solution. However, the combination of inconsistent policy information, damaged product deliveries, quality differences in materials, and lengthy resolution times left me questioning Lowe's commitment to communication, quality control, and customer service.
For future projects, I will be comparing other home improvement retailers before deciding where to spend my money.

Horrible experience - Protection Plan is Worthless.

I purchased a Lowe’s Protection Plan expecting it to provide some peace of mind if a major appliance failed. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite.

My refrigerator completely stopped working and also had several other ongoing issues, including freezing food and making unusually loud noises. A service appointment was scheduled, but the technician arrived an hour and a half after the appointment window. He did not have the part needed to make the repair and had to order a new motherboard, which will not arrive for several more days.

That means I am expected to go without a working refrigerator for at least five days and that assumes the motherboard actually fixes the problem. Given the refrigerator’s multiple issues, I have very little confidence that replacing one part will provide a reliable long-term solution.

A refrigerator is an essential household appliance, so waiting five or more days for a possible repair simply wasn’t reasonable for me. I purchased a replacement refrigerator from Lowe’s, but Lowe’s has been unwilling to provide any credit toward that purchase in lieu of continuing with the repair.

I paid extra for a Protection Plan because I expected meaningful support when I actually needed it. Instead, I was left choosing between going without a refrigerator for days or paying out of pocket for a replacement.

Based on this experience, I would not purchase a Lowe’s Protection Plan again.

Ordered kitchen cabinets from Lowe’s June 19, 2026, Diamond brand. We purchased a kitchen faucet and…

We purchased a kitchen faucet and instillation. We returned the faucet and bought another one. The customer service rep said the installation would transfer over to new purchase. I challenged her on this and she assured me it would. I call instillation. Dept at Lowe’s and sure enough it won’t transfer. We are done with Lowe’s at this point, order what we need from Home Depot and head back to Lowe’s. We go to get a refund on the second faucet purchased but she couldn’t figure out how to refund the instillation. 17 minutes later she was able to process it but we couldn’t get any kind of receipt, she said it wouldn’t let her print it!
