Poor service of UR and possible theft/scam of iPhone 15 Pro
Guide directed towards UR with good prices. This firm should not be listed on Compare and Recycle as Poor service. Advised payment would be made within 7 days on 11 June, then advised it would be 14-30 days after changing their T&Cs. Now on 22 July advised they don’t know when payment would be made. They effectively have stolen the device and not adhering to both the initial and updated T&Cs. When asked to return they advised that they had already sold on despite title not passing until payment has been made. This is appalling as all other firm usually pay within 3 days.
This company should be delisted from the site.

Not Recommended
Lot of retailers on this platform provide misleading price for buying your phone only to reduce it to nothing later on when you post your phone to them.
Please use different platform for selling your phones. This platform is not recommended.

The prices displayed on our comparison website are based on the condition selected during the valuation, and all offers are subject to the recycler's inspection once the device has been received. If the recycler believes the device differs from the condition described, they may revise their offer.
Please be aware that you can reject any offers you are not happy with and have your device returned. Let us know if you would like any assistance to do this.

Go elsewhere! Sold my phone nearly a week ago, no money and zero contact from the seller. I have written multiple emails which are being ignored and no answer on the phone either. Sold the phone to UberLink through Compare and recycle. *EDIT* Since posting the negative reviews I have received the payment. 100% will NOT be using this service in the future.

Received my money finally
Received my money finally. First they said it’s £300 then they re-offered £135. I refused and asked for my phone back. Really shoddy service. Told me my phone was in bad condition and that’s why the offer was lower than before. Load of rubbish! Then agreed to pay me £285, but to get the payment was hell.

Misleading Valuations – I Won't Use Compare and Recycle Again Neither Anyone SHOULD!!!
I used Compare and Recycle because it referred me to Uber Link, which was advertising one of the highest prices for my iPad Pro - £486. I trusted that a company featured on a comparison website would provide a fair and realistic valuation.
That turned out to be a mistake.
After paying to send my iPad by Special Delivery, Uber Link took over a week to acknowledge receiving it before reducing the offer to just £220. They later increased it to £275, but it was still nowhere near the original quote. I rejected both offers, had my iPad returned, and sold it to a reputable high street retailer for £470 cash. That alone shows how unrealistic their revised valuation was. It also demonstrates that you're often better off selling your device to a reputable physical high street retailer, where you can receive a fair price and walk away with your money immediately.
My issue with Compare and Recycle is that it gave credibility to a company that, in my experience, advertised a price it had no intention of paying. If a comparison site lists companies making inflated initial offers that are then drastically reduced after receiving customers' devices, it should review whether those businesses deserve to be featured.
I won't be using Compare and Recycle again. A comparison website is only as trustworthy as the companies it recommends, and my experience has left me with little confidence in either the recycler or the referral process.

They cut the price then say payment takes 3-5 weeks.
Then they email to say even that’s been delayed, no rationale or additional timescale.

AVOID
I used this comparison website and got a good price. I sent my phone to the top offer, the company did not send the money out in the stated timescale, I had to chase multiple times. Compare and recycle did chase and I have been paid hence the additional star, however this was 6 weeks after I was supposed to be paid.
HOWEVER, I cannot believe they are continuing to promote the same company knowing they are not paying their customers in the stated timescales. I won’t be using this company again.

Used Compare and Recycle to sell my old mobile to Pre Loved Tech. Great service, received payment from Pre Loved Tech quickly after they received my mobile and gave me the amount they had originally quoted on the Compare and Recycle site.
