They offered me a great price for my immaculate phone, but once they received it the price dropped considerably lower. After 3 weeks all I got was excuse after excuse as to why I hadn't received my money, in the end I threatened them with the ombudsman. 2 days later the money was in my bank.

I had used Compare and Recycle for years without any problems, which is why I trusted them to recommend a reputable recycling partner. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion.
I never received my payment from UR, and I am still waiting. Compare and Recycle have told me they are having to chase UR for customers' payments, yet they continue to advertise and work with them.
After reading other customers' reviews, it is clear that I am not the only person experiencing delayed or unpaid payments. If Compare and Recycle is already aware of these ongoing issues, why are they still promoting UR on their website?
This experience has been incredibly stressful and has completely destroyed my trust in Compare and Recycle. I will never use Compare and Recycle again and cannot recommend them while they continue to promote companies with so many complaints about payments.

Low-balled me once the phone was in their hands and even acknowledged that the "report" which referenced marks on the screen was inaccurate. Made them return the phone and sold it elsewhere. Wouldn't use again.

Gave me one price then tried to knock me down to a ridiculous offer for a perfect phone. They then revised their offer and I accepted but it still wasn’t anywhere near their original offer. All of these types of companies are unscrupulous and will never give you the offer advertised even if you’re honest with the condition like I was. Beware and be informed that you will never get what they offer.
In response to the reply. I did reject the offer and requested the phone be sent back and that's when you revised the offer. Like most people I'm sure it would be better if you did not deviate from your original offer by over £100 stating damage when there was none as I have the photographic evidence.

Avoid at all costs. Tell you there pay out time is 7-10 days from acceptance of offer. Im still waiting 30 days plus. Keep telling me they have a backlog. False advertising

Easy Process
Quick to set up collection via DPD which was next day.
Waiting till Monday now for a payment despite it arriving today - but that is not their fault.
I have used them 3 times now and the company is local to me so that's a bonus - recommended all round
Edit to the reply. This is my third time using you - but will be the last, The company I used have tried to swindle me out of £200 so I am recalling it to sell to mazuma instead, someone else I have used for year.

Friendly advice for anyone using Compare & Recycle. Do not rely on the pay period information shown on their website. Research the company independently through Trustpilot or social media first. I’ve dealt with companies claiming “same day payment” only to wait several days or even over a week.
Compare & Recycle’s own terms make it clear they are not responsible for the accuracy of the information displayed, so the risk sits with the customer. Check who you’re selling to before going ahead and hopefully you won’t get caught out like I did
