Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 110 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently report being charged for recurring subscriptions they did not authorize after making a small initial payment. Many found the service provided no useful information or results, making the initial payment a waste. Reviewers often felt misled, as there was no clear indication of signing up for a continuous service. Many customers expressed strong dissatisfaction with the company's practices, highlighting issues with payment processing and the difficulty of canceling unwanted subscriptions. Some reported their banks flagged these charges as unauthorized, leading to complications. This reflects a strong distrust in the service and its billing transparency.

Be very careful,I kept on getting phone calls&texts from different numbers saying I had tried to call them when I had not, used reverse look up to check a number that was calling me regular&proclaiming I had kept calling them, they even sent me photo's as proof "obviously my mobile network to blame somewhere". Anyway used reverse look up on the understanding the only charge would be £1 through PayPal which they took 2 seperate amounts of 50p I have recently noticed they have just billed me £29.99 through PayPal for a subscription I did not agree to! I will contest this with PayPal&try to get my money back! Reverse lookup is a bogus company that is obviously trying to rip people off! The rest of the reviews on here prove that, just wished I had checked trust pilot 1st,I won't be the last ripped off by these in this manner no doubt.

Avoid - Scam

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid. A massive scam. Like others I received almost no information on the person I was checking on, just a load of photos many of which were not him. I didn’t mind paying $1, but I was annoyed to discover that without any warning that I was charged $39.99 to my Paypal without warning or permission. This is not acceptable, I cancelled at once and will not use them again. Everyone Avoid these con artists.

Fraud!
Report a cost of €0.5 per appointment and immediately withdraw €29.99 from the account for something that was not authorized.
After contacting the company, they will ask for several documents proving payments not to return the amount unduly charged.

Be very careful

Be very careful, as Reverse Lookup will offer you a trial for £1, then somehow you find you've allegedly signed up to a £29/month subscription. As a result, this feels like an improper organisation who is scamming potential users into making payments they weren't aware of. I cancelled my "sub" on Paypal and will never use this outfit again. They are not trustworthy.

Absolute scum. I done 1 report and paid a one off and was somehow put onto a subscription without my permission. 7 days later £29 gone from my account and apparently I'm not eligible for a refund.

Been scammed out of £30 after using their service for one image using a trial. I cancelled and £30 still came out and they have been no help whatsoever. Only provide an email in customer support section which I have got one response from in the last 3 days. Never use this company as they are trying to grab your money and run, it’s unserious

Avoid this company like the plague.

I used what I believed was a one-time Reverse Lookup service, only to discover later that they had subscribed me to a recurring membership without my knowledge or consent. I was then charged £29.99 for a subscription that I never knowingly signed up for or authorised.

Trying to contact customer support has been a complete waste of time. They don’t respond, making it incredibly frustrating to resolve the issue.

In my experience, the subscription process was not made sufficiently clear, and I feel completely misled. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this service to check the terms very carefully and monitor their bank statements afterwards.

I will certainly never use this company again.

Scam

I’m honestly pretty angry about this.

I used what I thought was a simple reverse lookup on Truecaller, and somehow ended up with a £29.99 charge taken straight from my bank account. I never clearly agreed to a subscription, and I definitely didn’t expect a direct debit like that.

What makes it worse is how unclear everything is. There’s no obvious way to cancel, no straightforward explanation of what I was signing up for, and it all feels very hidden until the money is already gone.

It honestly feels misleading and borderline like I’ve been tricked into a subscription I didn’t knowingly authorise. I’ve spent time trying to figure out how to stop it and recover the money, which is the last thing anyone wants to deal with.

I’d strongly warn others to be very careful before using this service or entering any payment details.

Not serious, money grabbers

This company is not serious, hidden costs involved and money booked off my bank account without authority. I used it ONCE, got zero information regarding the number and have been charged to date over GBP 30 for this.

Avoid 100%

Avoid 100%, do not trust this ' service ' . They split your initial payment and automatically signs you up to monthly subscription fees without your knowledge or consent. Shady / dodgy business to me .

Not upfront about service

Not upfront about service. Hooks used to gain email info then asks for payment. I wouldn't trust any service that is so deceptive. Maybe they should be investigated for getting access to emails without proper reason. And they've just messaged me to say I've got a report to look at. Already with the spam. Keep away from these charlatans.
Update. Had another email (after I'd emailed them and told them to remove me from there data base).Saying how safe my security is. Seems not your're still using it. I've messaged again as I believe this isn't in keeping with data protection laws. I will be escalating as my next step.
