Return Impossible
Return an unwrapped item a spade that was too short for my very tall partner was impossible. Toolden wouldn’t accept it as a ‘normal’ return and expect the buyer to pay a courier to return it which amounts to almost 50% of the cost of the spade. very disappointed with the after sale service

Delivery "express48" a month and counting
They just keep saying they can't do anything within 7 days of a delivery status update. So if the courier just keeps updating the status to "still being held at the depot", it can go on on for ever. I've lost all hope of ever getting my parcel. Worst part is I saw the delivery guy, so i thought he'd left it where they normally do. Turns out all he did was have a snoop around in my garden and didn't leave anything.

However, I would like to reassure you that we dispatched your order promptly and within the agreed timeframe. Your parcel was shipped with DPD and was due for delivery on 5th October.
DPD attempted delivery on 5th October, but unfortunately, no one was available to receive it. A second attempt was made on 7th October, again without success.
As a result, your parcel is now on its way back to us.
Someone from our team will give you a call to discuss the next steps. We can either arrange for a replacement to be sent out or issue an immediate refund, whichever you would prefer.

Thanks to Jo-Anne who got my order sorted when I did eventually get through to speak to someone. 4/5 stars to her. Could have been five if you phoned me back and told me why it wasnt shipped, as you said you would.
I ordered and paid for a ladder on 16/10/26 via Tooldens web page. Recived email - told postage details would be issued within three days.
By 22/10/26 I still had not recived and tracking or postage details. I submitted a request that item had not been posted following Tooldens' on line procedure. Again recived acknowledging email and informed it would be resolved within in three days.
26/10/26 still no postage information. Called Toolden.
Was told order hadn't been shipped. Was told they would find out what happened and call me back.
Recived email a few hours later that order was recived and was being dispatched. It would arrive in 3-5 days. No follow on call or explanation as promised.
30/10/26 Recived email asking for review of Toolden. I Still havnt recived ladder.
So checked your reply text and suprise 100% AI generated. Which is maybe why you havnt actually properly acknowledged my issue with your failures or indeed your failures. You failed to despatch item, failed to respond to request made through your process twice. Thats three failures in total. Then eventually when I contacted you to complain. You finally did what you should but still didnt resolve it fully by making promises you failed to deliver on the day I complained and In you're AI written response.
Not great is it.
That five failures btw.
