My policy price had increased quite a bit even though I hadn't made a claim. Fortunately I spoke to someone on the telephone who was able to reduce it a bit. Next year I will be doing a price compa... See more

My experience with Privilege has been extremely disappointing. I made a home insurance legal-protection claim concerning an RX3/property-title issue and submitted the claim in writing on 13 July 2026. I received no acknowledgment or substantive assessment and had to repeatedly chase Privilege. Privilege subsequently acknowledged that there had been a significant delay.
The claim was then declined, and I formally disputed that decision in writing. I have also had continuing difficulties with the handling and recording of my correspondence, including having to repeatedly correct Privilege's understanding of my complaint and its chronology.
Accessibility has also been a concern. I have explained that telephone communication is not accessible to me and require written communication, yet I have continued to encounter difficulties obtaining a clear and direct written means of communicating with the person handling my complaint.
I have found the overall process unnecessarily difficult, time-consuming and distressing. I would expect an insurer to communicate clearly, handle correspondence accurately, provide timely updates, and give a clear and properly reasoned explanation when declining a claim.
Unrealistic renewal quote with 34% increase
Wasted 45 mins on chat
Phone call next day to a human who fairly quickly offered acceptable price which was a few £s cheaper than last year. Explanation given re initial quote was “ so I could shop around “
Easy to follow on line instructions for renewal.
They make it easy for me and the operator was pleasant..had a very small worry not understanding him sometimes but it doesn't matter. The price was good too..

Such a great peace of mind having both contents and bricks and mortar policy.
Haven’t had to make a claim, but the policy covers all my needs should I need it, hopefully not.
Great service with the renewal, on line and hard copies through the post. Ample time to review and update if needed too.
Been with Privilege for quite a few years.

The worst company to deal with. I've been dealing with a crash where I have vidseo footage of what happned and it's taken them 4.5 years to sort. The only way they respond is by putting in offical complaints. Honestly if you have to pay more to aovid them I would.

Will never use this company again and would definitely not recommend.
