Cancelled my insurance, score below 30. Silly concept, someone else has been driving my car + i am some times the passenger but without warning BOOM cancelled. Only 1 message 6 days before cancelling that my score is low then cancelled.

Easy to use. Helpful information. Saved over £200 against my previous insurer and with more cover.

With my new car being a new model with vehicle history being available I had difficulty obtaining insurance on it. My current insurer at the time, Go Skippy, would not insure it neither would the AA. I had no problems with Hastings, although the premium was. slightly more expensive.

Registration and purchess of the insurance mandate was so easy, and the staff extremely helpful, basically being covered by Hastings Direct made my day...it helped me relax more knowing i had acheived this with a minimum of fuss....thanks so much to all concerned.

The required phone settings on the app are intrusive and compromise my private security. Also, the 24/7 online help took almost 24 hours to reppy.

Do not use!!! - Dire company. I took out insurance for a car on 6th July and unfortunately it was scrapped on 22nd July. For 16 days they charged me £86!!! WITH A £45 CHARGE TO LEAVE THEM. I bought the insurance through Go Compare which didnt say if there was a cancellation fee. On Hastings site I check all details were correct answered the main 5 questions they ask about legal, breakdown etc. AT NO TIME DID THEY MENTION A £45 charge to cancel. I complained, each person I spoke to said its my fault I agreed to terms (your not told in advance) I was they threatened if I don't pay it it would be passed to a collection agency. I do have another car insured with them aswel - they are not bothered. They treat customers like shit! I bet Sampo don't know, I'll ensure they do.

Trying to make a claim with this company has been nothing but stressful and unhelpful. My car was written off due to another driver, Hastings failed to provide a courtesy car on time even though it was added as an extra on my policy. The communication has been awful with them, they cut the phone and each agent you speak to tells a different story. Avoid

Don't like got to keep track of my car movements

Having used Hastings in the past and not being impressed with the service. I decided to be a returning customer and see if the customer service has improved. I must say that I have been very impressed with the customer service having recently renewed my home insurance. Both the kevel and cover and price was very competitive.
