We had such an informative trip to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp with a lot help and support before the trip and the whole way through. Our tour guide Campbell was very sweet and a great storyteller and made the history come alive in a knowledgeable way.

The fact that I didn't have to look anywhere else to book tours for our Thailand trip is one of the reasons I'm very happy with GetYourGuide. There are so many tours to choose from and instructions are clear. You can opt to pay now or pay later (for most of the tours). They send you reminder emails the day before your tour with all of the necessary info. I booked 6 tours for Thailand and I had zero issues. I'm very thankful this site exists.

Everything was great. We had no problems at all and a really nice trip through the dessert. Our Guide spoke different languages (english, french, german and arab) so it was easy to comunicate.

The boat trip itself was excellent. The crew was friendly and professional, the food was very good, and we had a wonderful day on the water. This review is therefore not about the experience itself, but about how a genuine booking mistake was handled.

While booking through the GetYourGuide app, I briefly changed the number of participants to 16 to check the boat’s maximum capacity. When I returned to complete the booking, the app had unexpectedly retained the number 16, and I unfortunately didn’t notice before completing the payment.

We were only 8 people from the beginning. There were never another 8 guests who cancelled.

As soon as I discovered the mistake—around 12 hours before departure—I contacted customer service. I fully understand that the free cancellation deadline had passed, but this was not a cancellation request. It was a request for understanding and goodwill regarding an obvious booking error.

The local operator clearly adjusted the practical arrangements: only one taxi was sent to collect our group of 8, not 16, demonstrating that they knew only 8 guests were attending. We also observed that additional tickets were sold for the trip, so the boat was not left with eight empty seats reserved exclusively for us.

Despite several polite requests, neither GetYourGuide nor the operator showed any flexibility or willingness to find a reasonable compromise, such as a partial refund or an administrative fee.

It’s unfortunate that such a positive experience on the boat is ultimately overshadowed by a complete lack of customer-oriented service when an honest and obvious mistake occurs.

I hope GetYourGuide will review how genuine booking errors like this are handled in the future. Policies are important, but so is common sense and good customer service.

It's been almost three years since I use Getyourguide app to book my holiday activities. The communication is great, so far the companies have done a great job. One time I had an issue, I got a refund and the activity was rescheduled. I totally recommend it, you won't miss a thing to explore wherever you go.

We booked a 9 hours tour to three Greek Islands: Agistri, Aegina and Metopi. This was a really well organized and good experience. We had time for both shopping and bathing in the wonderful blue sea. The lunch served was a really good variable and tasteful Greek lunch. On the way back to the harbor the young people had a disco on the upper deck. All in all a really great tour and we can absolutely recommend this.

We are very dissapointed with the service we were provided with from Get your guide during our trip to the Salt Mines in Krakow today.

First of all, the Get your guide-app told us that the time for the meeting point at the bus station were changed shortly before we arrived there. We had to wait an additional hour, making the whole experience last the entire day, much longer than first expected.

In addition we were told when we finally met our tour guide outside the bus that we had to pay an additional fee to enter the Salt Mines. Our payment through the Get your guide-app only covered the bus transport and the guide at the Salt Mines, nothing else.

Next, the guide from Get your guide told us on our way to the Salt Mines that the whole experience would last until 5 o'clock in the evening, which turned out not to be correct.

When we arrived at the destination we had to wait almost half an hour before anything happened.

After the tour in the Salt Mines were finished, we had to wait again for almost half an hour before we entered the bus back to our destination.

So overall we are very disapointed that Get your guide had no respect for our time in Krakow when pushing this to last almost 2,5 hours more than expected. Lucky we hadnt booked anything else this evening.

What an amazing day!
I went on the Toronto Island Boat/Walk tour. It was excellent!
You start at the water taxi location (TDOT)and it stays with you as you hop off and on throughout the islands.
I never knew the Toronto Islands were so big.
The tour guide was so knowledgeable and had a lot of pictures of what once was on the Islands. Incredible to see!
The weather was not the greatest with rain and even a tornado warning! Honestly the tour guide and the water taxi operator were safety first and foremost. We went into a cafe, had something to eat, and waited it out. It was a great chance for a conversation with the rest of the tour group. At no time did any of us feel unsafe.
The tour guide and water taxi operator were very professional and attentive at all times. They were awesome!
There is so much to learn. It is such a beautiful place to see. Don't miss out on this.

Die learn a lot of New and interesting things about Champagne and the way it it is created in a nice and likable fashion.

I am disappointed that the guide spoke English in a very fast tone, unclear, and switched to Spanish without even half a second break . He was "shooting" the words, looked bored as if repeating the material over and over again. Furthermore, when we arrived to Siena, we had no ticket for entering the Cathedral, and the local guide- Elena- just told us to return to the meeing point, without even showing us the direction to the meeting point. The impresion I got is that it is just a business to them. They finish and they go back to their home. There was anything personal in their attitude. I am sorry, but today was a disappointment to me.

A platform that encourages guests to review suppliers, while giving greater weight to negative reviews, is creating a culture built on distrust rather than fairness. This is made worse when negative review ratings with no explanation are allowed to influence a suppliers reputation. Without any context or evidence, these ratings unfairly affect future bookings.

If the system rewards negative feedback with disproportionate influence while accepting ratings with little or no information, it should not be surprising when that same negativity extends to the platform itself. The culture a company promotes is often reflected back at it. If they choose to prioritize and amplify negative reviews without accountability, they should expect negative perceptions and reviews of their own business to follow.

Clear and reliable. Great app with reminders and messages regarding the meeting location. Never had an issue with Get your Guide.

Horrible company, just liars and cheaters. They have literally ripped me off. Stolen my money and they send you round in circles when asking for a refund.

Booked Stockholm archipelago boat trip. Arrived with voucher on time to take trip. Boat not available (since earlier in week). No message from GYG about this so had wasted trip and too late to organise alternative activity in time. Trying to get refund from GYG is proving very tedious

Booked lounge one Gatwick for 6 people when we arrived staff turned us away even though we had getyourguide passes have contacted getyourguide twice now with no refund or response

The guide, Julia, was amazing. So knowledgeable and kind. The driver, Gregorio, was excellent as well. The bus to Montserrat was cool and quick and the information shared by the guide was perfect. So happy with our day trip to Montserrat.
