Millets need to update or review their online system. Firstly and this is my fault - I input a mixture of an old and new email address - Phoned to try to change it - can't.
Part of the order arrived, no notification to say the rest wasn't arriving because I couldn't change the email address.
Tried to apply for a VAT invoice through their customer contact area - this doesn't work. Phoned Millets to advise the website wasn't working for VAT invoice request to be advised they can't do the request over the phone. Two weeks later the online request still isn't working.
They did however try to do this for me but said I needed to provide them with my VAT number to get a VAT invoice from them - never have I ever had to do this.
I don't have an invoice only a delivery note which has the full order and not the part order on it so I don't have a credit note for the cancelled part of the order.
Apart from that the part of the order I did receive came quickly and the items were great.

I first came in weeks ago ( date of experience 11.9.25 is an estimate, sorry can't remember exact dates, but they might remember me! ) I was in a rush but spoke with Katt about hiking boots who was extremely helpful, honest, polite and knowledgeable. Because she was so lovely and helpful, said I would only come back on the days she was in to buy a pair of hiking boots with her knowledge!
Unfortunately I returned on the wrong day to buy my hiking boots, Katt wasn't in (was my mistake, got the days wrong!) Fed up that I wasn't going to get Katt's expertise, the lovely, polite and helpful Kiera said she would get someone else to help me.
Well, once again Jakes knowledge, honesty, expertise and patience with all my questions, totally impressed me, he was so polite.
I can't explain enough how these 3 people are an absolute credit to this store in Southsea and only wish every shop you entered was like this, filled with Katts, Jakes and Kieras.
What beautiful souls they are and so very grateful for their help, time and patience 🙏 Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND shopping here.
By the way, I bought my hiking boots...so thank you everyone 😀

We purchased a pair of walking boots. We were served by Holly whom was very attentive and knowledgeable and gave us advice on gaining the correct fit which was invaluable for comfort.

Popped into Millets in Newquay on a flying visit as I needed some new walking boots. I used to shop at the Truro branch before it closed, so it was lovely to visit again. The store being dog-friendly was the first big bonus!
Holly was so welcoming and helpful — she really knew her stuff, brought me lots of great options, and never rushed me while I made up my mind. Thanks to her, I found the perfect pair of boots. Absolutely 5-star service from start to finish. Thank you, Holly! 🥾🐾

Well Douglas in the shop was really very good
When I got home I received an email to say order number 360675325 had been cancelled even though when I just went on line again it still said that there was one in stock! Also I now have to go back into town (I’m in my seventies) to get a refund for it! Why did they allow the order to go through in the first place

Came in with very limited and very specific requirements for an ultra marathon I’m running in a few days. Lisa jumped straight in reading my kit list, rushing around to get me everything I needed and saved me loads of time browsing. Time I didn’t have. Trying to find availability of an item in store that I’d seen online, I first spoke to Stephen on the phone, who went off and found the item I had described and said it could be held for me until the next day. The same day. I was able to go into the store and try on the item that had been held for me. Sadly, it was not as expected and so the hard work for both Stephen and Sharon began!
After trying on numerous coats, the coat I settled on was not in stock in my size!
The patience, helpfulness and efficiency of both Sharon and Stephen was so appreciated though and I felt compelled to write and thank them for their great customer service. Thank you both!!

I was served by Natalie this evening who was very helpful when advising me on which fleece to buy for underneath my jacket. Natalie was very patient and knowledgeable and took the time to explain al of the fleece’s features as well as show me how it works with the rain jacket I already owned.

I ordered a tent and a few other bits but the focus being on the vango classic instant 300 *pattern* model for a 12 year olds 13th birthday present the parcel was split into two the first part delivered no problems then here's where the problems start.
The tent although showing as delivered was never received despite asking all family members and neighbours checking round my property and nothing!
I contacted millets who were non existent so filed a case with PayPal *still no tent and still no outcome* so with time ticking and a filed dispute I stupidly ordered and paid next day delivery for the same tent due to it being a teens birthday present this one I did receive but upon opening the box they've sent me the wrong item which I now have to return to store! I probably won't get the next day delivery charge refunded either!
I will never use millets again the lack of customer service and the incompetency is truly awful.
I have emailed said email numerous times! Again to no avail truly shocking.

Regrettably, this product shows no signs of heating water within it, leaks and has a strangely small shower head- possibly necessary for technical reasons. I ordered by post and paid 3.95 for that service. I will be returning it immediately for a full refund, including postage: but it caused risk and inconvenience, for which I receive no compensation. How disappointing!
There is now an update. I rang Millets customer service, and am told I will receive a full refund. However, when I politely asked the advisor to give feedback to the Company, thanking him for his help and advising him calmly that the feedback was not personal, he became defensive, accused me wrongly of shouting and being offensive, and terminated the call. As I pointed out to him, I was not shouting or abusive - I simply wished to give relevant and appropriate feedback for the Company's potential benefit. Once again, how disappointing! Let it end here!
